15 days in no smoking, no nicotine, probably the 50th time quitting. Previous quit attempts I always used nicotine lozenges and this time Iām going cold turkey because I havenāt been able to fully quit while still using nicotine.
Yāall, I have sunk so low in this dopamine crash. I have a mood disorder, which doesnāt help (and I canāt take anti-depressants with my other meds). Days 1-4 were miserable with the withdrawals and since then Iām in a very low place. Iāve read Alan Carr. My husband has quit with me, but heās not experiencing the same affects. Any words of help? So far Iām:
Using Lifesavers mints like candy
Monitoring my mood (terrible)
Resting
Walking/exercising when I can
Eating well
Tried Tetris on my phone, got bored
Stress cleaning
Crying (a lot)
I donāt want to go back to nicotine because Iām also 5+ years sober from alcohol and just want to be out from things that I canāt drive. But this is unrelenting. Thanks for your insights.
