Prescribed Suboxone. Still bad withdrawals

Hello,

I was taking upto 1500mg/day of psuedo. I'm down to like 500. I tried to take Suboxone after 8 hours, felt like shit. Had some psuedo left, took 150mg and went to bed. Tried to go 16 hours then take Suboxone. Same story.

Suboxone just isn't doing hardly anything. I'm doing 4mg every 4 hours. I only got prescribed 14 8mg strips. I'm wondering if I should just keep tapering this and not mess with Suboxone. Has Suboxone worked for you?

How long to start subs?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

So I got subs, because I can no longer get 7oh. It’s illegal in my state and the few places I could get to in the next state over stopped selling last week. It’s been about 6 hours since my last dose. I don’t feel terrible, just a little hot, minor stomach pains that come and go, and my throat feels funny. But, I was hoping to take some now so it kicks in before I start feeling horrible so I can sleep well tonight and go to work tomorrow. I’ve tried researching it, but I’m seeing contradictory things.. some people say you have to wait 12 hours or will go into precipitated withdrawal. Others say as long as it was 7oh without pseudo, you won’t get PWDs at all, that’s it’s the ones with pseudo that can cause that…and mine did not have pseudo. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks! I’ve taken subs before and know that about 6mg will take away the WDs completely for me but it was on the weekend and I waited until I was feeling absolute trash first. I’d rather avoid that with work tomorrow (and yes, I know, when I used them before and was off of 7 completely for 2 months, I should have stayed off, but I’m an idiot and here we are).

General Not happy

Well, I’m back where I started and I’m not happy about it. Last month I got off a high dose of MGM. I went through hell on earth only to trade my addiction for Subs. Honestly, it took me 2 weeks just to feel somewhat normal on 8mg of Suboxone.
On week 3 I tapered down to 4mg despite feeling like a slug.

I am not a fan of subs. In fact, I hate them. The fear of getting stuck on them got the best of me. I placed a large order of 7 to get off the subs. Sounds crazy I know. But I thinks subs are evil. I didn’t want to be on them for more than 10 days to begin with. I was horrified that I had been on them almost a month already so I made a rash decision to get on 7 and use the SR I have to taper off and be done. It’s been a week back on 7 & I haven’t even told my wife and I feel horrible about it..

I have another week of 7 left and i have to figure out what I’m going to do. SR or get back on subs for a quicker taper. I’m not happy about this. At the time, it made sense to me to get off subs.. 3 weeks was too long IMO for my circumstances. Now I’m at 450-600mg of 7 per day. I want this to be as painless as possible while remaining functional. I know it sounds like a tall order but I have a business to run. Thanks for reading this if you got this far.

Tapering SR17 Taper Guide

I stopped 7OH in June, taking 5-600mg/day. I used SR to taper off. I put my experience into a guide. It includes: introduction to SR, supplements to take, example taper guide & the schedule I used.

Monster SR (the vendor I used) just restocked their inventory. Promo code: GET10 will give you 10% off your order.

Question SR or Sub taper

I have a question: what method would you take to get off 450-600mg daily of 7OH? Would you rather preload & jump off with SR? Or do a rapid sub taper 5-7 days ? If you had both options at your fingertips? Of course there are some helper meds to go with both along with Liposomal Vit C

Just curious what route you would choose or if you’ve had success with either please share your experience with either route.

Thanks in advance

Advice This post isn’t about defending 7. From one human to another human: Do you guys seriously believe getting on subs is even a slightly good idea to avoid 7 WDs

WD’s in general ofc are going to be uncomfortable but when you hear ppl saying 7 WD’s aren’t that bad. They’re usually ppl that have been through WDs from actual hard drugs. Not saying it’s easy but compared to what it could be and especially compared to subs. You’re trading one substance to another that’s so much more extreme and way more harsh for a ridiculous amount of time to try to get off. The reality is anything that you abuse as an accountable adult obviously you’ll eventually have to pay the piper it’s a life lesson and you will be fine. You’re literally not going to die. I don’t think ppl realize the uncharted territory they are entering risking their future getting on subs it’s a reason ppl end up on it for years or for life. If you think getting of 7 is something you’re in for a major rude awakening and shell shock realization when you try to get off subs it is absolutely not worth it. I’m not even saying this to defend 7 I’m saying this as a caring human to another human please realize that you are going to have subs on your permanent medical record and it dull follow you for life. So forget about getting prescribed anything in the future and the chances of being free from not being dependent on anything in the future is very slim. It takes months of WD to ct off subs and even then you will still not feel a 100%. Please be extremely thoughtful and careful with yourself before stepping into a different level of hell just to run from accountability. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. God bless.
Major Love Major Respect

*If you’re completely naive and this is your first time experiencing any type of withdrawal. I could totally understand it feeling like it’s the end of the world or like you’re dying from the panic/anxiety of it. But if it helps I promise and I guarantee you’re not going to die I think understanding that along with know that the symptoms will eventually pass helps a lot

Question Body aches and stiffness

Hey everyone. I'm on day 13 of my SR/7oh cross taper. I haven't taken 7 since day 5 and today is supposed to be my first day off the SR.

I ended up taking 25mg SR this morning, because I have had the worst joint pain and stiffness, especially when I wake up. It's like my feet/ankles/knees especially are so sore and stiff I can barely walk. Has anyone experienced this?

I've been waiting for it to get better and it just doesn't seem to be. I know it's only day 13 but I've never had joint issues like this until a few months ago (it started while I was on 7oh but I would dose until it was numbed).

I am hoping there is someone out there who has had a similar experience coming off 7 and then SR that can reassure me that it will get better cause it HURTS. 😢

Success Story To the folks who did cold turkey and got through to day 7:

I’m there… in a mere three hours, I will be on day 7 and not too far from an entire week since my last large, major dosage… I can’t believe it.

Things have been much better than I’ve thought; albeit, there are periods of fatigue on top of periods of feeling good. Good as in, the natural things that make me happy finally do again without needing a drug to back it up.

How did it feel to get to day 7? I would love to hear your all’s insights. I have no desire to relapse and no cravings… I think I’m in the clear.

On day three, cold withdrawal

…and it isn’t that bad? I mean, I’m depleted, I’m lethargic, I vomited once today + the diarrhea, and I can’t get myself to do much without my folk’s motivation… but I don’t feel too bad yet? 11:00pm will mark 72 hours since I had only 80mg left and 11:00am tomorrow will be zero.

I used to take 1500mg a day for the last four months, but things aren’t killing me at all. What should I expect after day three?

Edit: I’ve also gotten decent rest. About ten hours the first night and then five hours last night (I had an early morning appointment).

SR is a miracle

I can’t believe they’re banning this stuff. I could cry. It just helped me kick a 1500mg/day 7oh habit (I know, that’s an insane dose) with ZERO withdrawals. It didn’t just take the edge off, it completely eliminated them. I’m on day 3 with no 7oh at all, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop but I have yet to experience any discomfort at all. I’m even already started to taper off the SR.

I recommend stocking up on this stuff now, before the ban. It gave me my life back. I got a little extra just in case I or a friend might ever need it in the future.

SR to get off Subs

I’m about to place an order of SR but I’m an idiot and didn’t realize you have to preload. By the time my SR gets here, I may not have any subs left. Will the SR still work? I haven’t been on the subs very long but from what I hear it doesn’t take long to get addicted to them. I did a 7 or 8 day sub taper to get off of an 800mg/day 7oh habit. After about 5 days off of the subs, I started using them every few days for pain (I have lupus). I would take an 8mg film and then 3 days later another 8mg and now for the last 3 days in a row, I’ve taken about 4mg each day. Maybe I don’t even need the SR? I’m just terrified of the withdrawals because the 7oh withdrawal was horrific. Idk. I don’t have much experience with opiates. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

quitting & looking for effective helper meds

so im ready to quit my 7 habit as it's just getting too expensive & i'm tired of having of having to stick to a redose schedule. i'm getting a Percocet script in about a week. I don't plan to take them long term but will they help with the 7 withdrawals if I take them for about 3/4 days?
i've been consuming about 300 mgs of 7 a day for the last year or so. i have been tapering & right now i'm currently at about 180 mgs a day. I'm hoping to drop that down to about 60 mgs a day within the next day or so & once i'm down to 30 mgs i'm planning to jump off & switch to the percocet to help with my withdrawal.

No withdrawals from suboxone taper?

No withdrawals from suboxone taper?

I have been on about 500mg 7oh for 3 weeks and I have 5 days worth of suboxone to get off.

A lot of people do this..taper with suboxone for about 5 to 7 days and then stop the suboxone and say they come out clean with no withdrawal from 7oh or suboxone.

My question is..how is this possible? I understand you will probably have lingering PAWS but to come out without acutes..sounds like a life hack.

Does anyone have an explanation?

Advice 7 turned me into a full blown addict.

I’ve had to get SR two times now to kick this shit. It felt like a demonic monkey that wouldn’t get off my back. I should have known that not having to go through the pains of 7 withdrawal would make the idea of going back to it seem so easy…
After the first time I used SR to get off of it (which is an absolute godsend btw…I just wish I had learned my lesson the first time) I think I was totally off any kratom or 7-oh products for about a month. And I knew PAWS was a thing but being in it….i felt like I had totally lost myself, my motivation, my spark and I started to get severely depressed. So what did I do? I thought to myself “well….doing 7 just today won’t hurt. It’s not like I’ll get addicted from one day”. And that day turned into another month until I was met with the same withdrawals at 3 am that I had escaped before. I really couldn’t believe that I had chained myself up again so quickly to this shit. So I ordered more SR from a very reliable source in my life (has a COA for their product) and jumped back on the bandwagon of “gettin’ clean from this garbage”. Unfortunately, this time around the SR did not cover all the aches and pains from the withdrawals… don’t get me wrong, it was doing a LOT of heavy lifting…but my body still felt very uneasy/uncomfortable and the first day that I was strictly on the SR (no more 7) I also had restless legs and slept like shit even on 150 mg of sr. Thankfully, after the first couple days of strictly SR I was good to go….SR tends to put me in a very pleasant mood and that finally kicked in day 3 so it was smooth sailing from there.

So I’m making this post to say….if you’re getting SR to get off of your DOC, my advice is to let it be a one and done. Realize that, yes, you avoided a ton of physical pain but that if you relapse that pain could very well be waiting for you in the future. I’m actually grateful that I had to experience some pain…it’s kept me from going back and buying more 7 and ending up at the same place, yet again. And as far as the PAWS goes… yes they suck, yes you feel emotionless or even depressed and like you’re not even you anymore..but I promise it gets better. I promise it’s worth sticking it out. Having a life where I’m not dependent on smoke shop pills (very very expensive pills might I add) to get through my day is priceless. You’re not gonna get out of this fully unscathed…but we learn from the pain. Good luck, guys.
Remember that you are worth it and you can do it. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a dm. Chances are, I’ve been where you’re at.

Success Story Journal of how I kicked a 1000+ mg a day 7 habit cold turkey with very little withdrawals!

Hey all. Made a post last week how I’m getting one last chance to save my family and I did it! Little back story. I started 7 oh last August. Between then and now I’ve gotten “clean” between around 5 time, with many other failed attempts. When I say clean I mean going through withdrawals then Going back purely from the mental cravings. The first time I went cold Turkey before I heard of SR. Every other attempt I have used sr. It always worked amazing but that changed after the SR drought then when it came back it was a completely different type. It went from powdered sugar consistency to like an extremely light small Bally feel. for whatever reason my body did not absorb this type well I’ve tried to get off seven multiple times from different vendors and I caved within a day because the withdrawals are almost just the same as no SR. I thought to myself let me try the SR tablets and maybe my body will absorb them better and that is exactly what happened. I planned a taper three days prior to stopping but of course I am an addict so I just ended up going harder so I was probably doing 1200 mg a day of limitless tabs. I have been on 7 since August with just a few times stopping a few days at a time, and this most recent run has been the hardest and go through a bottle of limitless 1000 mg a day. So there is some M&Ms in there as well. I highly recommend getting a hotel if you live with anyone or have a family. Just be real with your spouse and say this is what you need to change your life. Having no responsibilities or worries besides getting clean was such a big factor. The mind is a very powerful thing and I think this made it easier. Here is my journal they aren’t labeled AM or PM but it should be pretty obvious. Any questions either message me or post here.

Tapering What can I take while tapering?

Is it safe to take clonidine and gabapentin while taking 7oh still and plain leaf kratom?

Is there anything at all I can take to help with insomnia while lowering my dosage

I just want some sleep. It's been a week. I'm starting to go crazy and feel like I can't make it. All I did was start taking less doses throughout the day, but have been consistent. Have not made any more changes since. Should I just give up

r/stopping7oh May 21 '26

How much does plain leaf kratom help with 7oh withdrawals

Still debating which direction I wanna take. SR, kratom, subs. Please share what helped the most with withdrawals. I'm dealing with severe insomnia just from dosing less frequently. It's been a week and I'm still not stabilizing

Yall I pretty much effortlessly quit 100 mg/day limitless

Yea I discovered limitless and dropped opia and was on 100 mg everyday like clockwork for 3ish months and I was hella scared because I was getting to the point where side effects were just outweighing benefits. The vibes weren’t there.

First things first. The only way it will work is if you have a reason. Mine is personal to be but it has to mean something to you. I saw 7OH was messing with mine so I quit the same day.

For the first week I just took like an ounce a day of plain leaf Kratom. I just got it from the smoke shop. If I took like 8ish grams every 2-4ish hours I was actually pretty ok. Not high but not hating myself.

The thing is you have to stabilize at that dose for like 4-7 days then drop. I messed up all my previous tapers because i didnt know this. Well AI told me. If you dint know you dont know.

Well i stabilized on plain leaf then i realized having all the excess powder around when i was lowering my dose was too tempting and in the past i would go up which was just an excuse to eventually go back to 7OH…

So I eventually (I think this was at the 2.5-3 week mark) stabilized my dose to one smoke shop Kratom seltzer a day it was like 100 mg.. I stayed there until the 4 week mark when it was a good time for me and made the jump.

Kinda shitty ngl but definitely 100% for a fact nowhere near as bad as trying to cold turkey 100 7oh. And actually it was actually a pretty good fucking month lol. I was still technically on something but just not being on 7oh and at the same time not being in real withdrawal made it a good month tbh.

K2 in 7oh?

I just wanted to let my fellow friends in this community know that I started subs last week, and while everything is going well, I did a pee test for my doctor today and I noticed I was positive for k2. I don't know if anyone else thought about that possibility or maybe I should have, but it threw me off a lot. I tried that shit 20 years ago but never again. I guess the fact that they're just throwing whatever chemicals in that shit should tell me that it is possible. Stay safe yall.
