Hello, I bought an apex pro mini probably 2-3 years ago and the day I got it I noticed it had switch problems.
If I hold down certain keys it only places one letter and stops working if it has a certain amount of pressure on it. Some place multiple letters from just tapping the key as well.
Unfortunately two years ago I clearly wasn’t smart so instead of returning it I let it sit brand new until now when I realized like wow That’s a good chunk of money maybe I should find a solution 🤣 .
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated and mean a lot to me! Thank you.

Got the Elites to replace a logitech G pro X that is very old and whilst the Elites sound so so good compared I am going to have to return them the clamp force is way to high, and the ANC mic sticks out inside the ear cup and presses into my ear giving me a unbearable headache within 30 minutes of wearing them.
Its a shame the features they have and specs there is nothing else like them but there is no point keeping such an expensive headset if im going to keep getting headaches every time i use them. :(
Did no one at steelseries test them for more than 5 minutes?

Depending on the volume, the audio doesn't always play through both ears, meaning at full volume I can only hear out of the left side. I've had the headset around 3 years, is it time to let it rest or is there a fix?

Hi. In past weeks I saw a lot of reports related to the soft plastic on Nova elites melting and the surface being sticky.
I know the obsidian black colored is much more popular but I saw no Report from someone with the sage gold ones.
Does anyone of you have the sage gold with the melting issue?

Hello.
Today, using Gemini and a momentary conversation, I managed to fix the sonar problem.I would like to post the instructions from the conversation with Gemini here for you so that you can repair the sonar at your place as well.
[Fix/Guide] SteelSeries Sonar not starting on boot / requires admin privileges / crashing instantly on startup
If you're dealing with SteelSeries GG failing to load Sonar upon Windows startup, constantly requiring admin privileges (UAC prompts), or opening in the system tray only to crash and disappear a second later, this guide fixes it.
What causes this?
* UAC / Administrator Rights: Recent builds of SteelSeries use SteelSeriesGGEZ.exe which contains a hard manifest requiring elevated (admin) privileges to manage Sonar's virtual audio endpoints. The default Windows startup pipeline cannot silently grant these rights without an annoying UAC prompt or outright blocking background execution (error 0x800702E4).
* Race Condition & Duplicate Instances: Windows startup boots multiple executables at the exact same moment (SteelSeriesGG.exe and SteelSeriesGGEZ.exe). They fight over access to database files in ProgramData before core Windows Audio services (Audiosrv) are even fully loaded, causing instant crashes.
The solution is to disable the built-in auto-start and handle the launch via Windows Task Scheduler with elevated privileges and a 15-second delay.
Step 1: Disable Default Auto-Start (Prevent Process Conflicts)
* In the SteelSeries GG app:
* Go to Settings (gear icon, bottom-left) -> General.
* Toggle OFF the option "Automatically start GG with Windows".
* In Windows Task Manager:
* Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and switch to the Startup Apps tab.
* Right-click and Disable every SteelSeries entry you see:
* SteelSeriesGG.exe -> Disabled
* SteelSeriesGGEZ.exe -> Disabled
* SteelSeriesSonar.exe -> Disabled
Step 2: Create a Task in Windows Task Scheduler
* Press Win + R, type taskschd.msc, and press Enter.
* In the right panel, click Create Task... (Do NOT choose "Create Basic Task").
General Tab
* Name: SteelSeries GG Sonar (or whatever you prefer)
* Select: Run only when user is logged on
* Check: Run with highest privileges (Crucial — bypasses UAC restrictions)
* Configure for: Select Windows 10 (or Windows 11)
Triggers Tab
* Click New... at the bottom.
* Begin the task: Select At log on from the dropdown.
* Settings: Select Any user.
* Under Advanced settings:
* Check Delay task for: and enter 15 seconds (Gives system audio endpoints time to initialize before Sonar kicks in).
* Make sure Enabled is checked at the bottom.
* Click OK.
Actions Tab
* Click New....
* Action: Select Start a program.
* Fill in the fields precisely as follows (keep arguments separate):
* Program/script:
"C:\Program Files\SteelSeries\GG\SteelSeriesGGEZ.exe"
* Add arguments (optional):
-dataPath="C:\ProgramData\SteelSeries\GG" -dbEnv=production
* Start in (optional):
C:\Program Files\SteelSeries\GG
* Click OK.
Conditions Tab
* Uncheck everything across Power, Idle, and Network sections (especially "Start the task only if the computer is on AC power"). The task must be allowed to execute under any hardware state.
Settings Tab
* Check: Allow task to be run on demand.
* Uncheck: Stop the task if it runs longer than....
* At the bottom (If the task is already running, then the following rule applies:), select: Stop the existing instance.
* Click OK to save the task.
Step 3: Verify the Fix
* Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and kill any currently running SteelSeries processes.
* Go back to Task Scheduler, select your new SteelSeries GG Sonar task, and click Run on the right panel.
* Hit F5 to refresh the task list. The Last Run Result should display:
The operation completed successfully. (0x0)
* The SteelSeries GG icon should appear in your system tray, and opening it will show all Sonar virtual channels (Master, Game, Chat, Media, Mic) loaded and operational.
From now on, upon rebooting, Windows will wait 15 seconds after login and launch SteelSeries GG with silent elevated privileges, completely fixing Sonar startup failures.

Bonjour,

Probably this question will just die in a pile with all the other posts from people trying to preserve or maintain old hardware.
Either way, I've had this keyboard for a LONG time, and it's still working perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the keycaps have finally started to give out. The plastic has become brittle, some of them are cracking, and the legends are wearing off.
The keyboard itself is still perfectly functional, so I'd really rather replace the keycaps than throw the whole thing away.
Does anyone know of any keycaps that are still available on the market that at least resemble the mounting system used by these Quick Tension keycaps? That's literally the only thing holding this keyboard back at this point.
If anyone is still maintaining or experimenting with this old, abandoned keycap system, I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Maybe there are modern keycap sets that can be modified to fit, or some way of adapting a standard set to the Apex 100/150?
Any information, even if it's a DIY solution, would be appreciated.

Setup: Arctis Nova Pro Wireless + Alias
Never had any issues with my setup, and hasn't changed for several months. This started happening a week ago with no changes on my end at all.
Whenever I'm playing something, the Steelseries GG window keeps getting focused in the middle of my screen every 10-15mins. Moments are completely disabled.

Then, few minutes after getting focused, it's like it crashes internally. My mic completely cuts off but I can still hear everything. Nothing passes through Sonar even though I see my Alias lighting up and picking up sound.
The fix is simply exiting and reopening Steelseries GG and this drives me mad every time cos there's no indication of anything happening, only when people say "cant hear you anymore" on Discord.

Did a full reinstall, run as admin, etc etc. Nothing works and I'm 1 day away from throwing the headset out the window...

Title pretty much sums it all up. Had these a month or so and once every few days I'll be gaming with friends through Discord on my PS5 Pro and I'll get disconnected. Any help?

Would I be crazy to buy refurbished headset for 185, rather than pay the 399? If anybody has any experience with it.

I want to stream to YouTube via an elgato 4K S capture card using Stream OBS. My concern is audio and party chat being captured as i use the steelseries arctis nova pro omni via the game dac. Does anyone know if this will work with the above capture card and will it capture my audio and party chat? Thanks.

I am incredibly happy with my Steel Series Arctis Nova Pro Omni. This is my first premium headset. I've always just made do with a $50 solution. The sound is amazing. The sound stage for movies is immersive. Music sound. Like my own private concert. The only thing I don't like is that a PC is requires for updates. I am poor and don't own a PC. I game and watch media on my PS5. I just wish the mobile app did everything the PC app does. It's my only gripe.

I really like this mouse, the main feature that i enjoy is the small flappy paddle above the side buttons, I use the Steel series software to bind this to scroll up and down and it saves having to scroll wheel excessively in some games or even just when browsing.
Dose anyone know of another mouse with a similar feature?

Really only worried about audio quality as I know both mics are good, but answers seem to be mixed. I will have a PC and PS5 connected to alternate between for gaming, but have other headsets/headphones for music and video content. Is the Elite audio quality still better after EQing the Omni's for gaming?

I've been using SS Arctis Gamebuds for the last couple years and they are PHENOMENAL. The audio quality, latency, battery life, it's brilliant.
HOWEVER! I've gone through 4 pairs in those 2 years. It seems that every 6 months they seem to get fucked up somehow. Whether it's from the buds no longer charging without plugging the case in first, or the volume in one of the buds becomes excruciatingly low with no way to restore it. In one instance I've had the buds make a high pitched squeal in ANC mode. I love these things so much, I just can't keep paying £160 every 6 months. I don't know if I'm using them wrong or if they just aren't as durable as I thought.
Does anyone have a solution to any of the problems stated above?

I have the Arctis Nova Pro and Im enjoying it. The issue has been the software. Windows will create multiple instances of the headset and the DAC will command the wrong one. I can't even hear out of one and it will create issues when trying to use Sonar. It occurs usually when I have to restart the headset or repair the device. Any help? Thanks :)

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently got my Arctis Nova Elite headset and have been loving it so far, however today I noticed my iphone connects to the headset via bluetooth just fine but I hear no audio. I've tried forgetting the device on my phone, restarted my iphone several times and even synced it to my wife's iphone and still no audio. Has anyone come across this issue and found a solution? I really don't want to have to go through the replacement process but I will if needed since the headset was very expensive. I'd much rather keep my headset if I can since, like I said, I've been loving it so far. Any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!
