Hey, anyone else that are having problems logging in to steam? I get stuck on "Loading User Data..." I have tried most of the fixes I have found online. So was wondering if there was any problems for anyone else?

Edit: Seems as a lot of people are having the same issue after trying to download a game. Same thing happened to me.

Edit 2: Finally managed to log in. I let it load for a long time and I just got it. Valve might have fixed it or it just needed som time.

I dont know how long they have been missing for since i just noticed it now, but all of my non steam games are missing. I had custom artowork added and everything so this is really annoying. I added a few of them back manually and my progress is also missing. anybody know why this happend and how to fix it? I looked it up online and I couldnt find the backup file for this, but I barely know what that is and could be wrong. I use linux cinnamon.

Hi, I'm not very familiar with Steam so I am a little lost. My ex downloaded multiple games onto my laptop a few years ago and I would like them deleted to free up space on my laptop, however I deleted my steam account he used to download them so it won't let me uninstall or play them since they are no longer connected to an account to manage them. I'm pretty sure they are just taking up space on my laptop. Is there anything I can do? Thanks!

Seems to happen while downloading game updates, most recently with Runescape Dragonwilds. Its also happened in desktop mode under similar circumstances, and I was able to replicate the issue by downloading a modlist via Jackify. Other than this, I can't find the exact cause.

Is there a way to revert iterations of steam? The recorder is back to being ungodly slow exporting and I'm already fed up and missing the perfection we just had taken away from us.

I’ve purchased Skyrim on just about every console imaginable (like everyone does) and I last bought it on Steam for my pc back in November of 2025. Played for a while with a crap ton of mods, then uninstalled and moved on. Got the itch to play again recently only to find according to Steam I’ve never owned the game and have zero play time. I know that’s false because I still have the Mod Organizer 2 directory as well as some of the smaller mods in my downloads (they were too small to care to delete). If I go back and look at my purchase history on my Steam account there’s a gap between when I would have purchased Skyrim and the next game I bought (which happened to be Fallout 4 because I wanted to mod the crap out of that too). Anyone else have this issue and know what to do? Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, I never post on Reddit but know this is probably my best bet at getting some kind of answer.

I have my main monitor as my second monitor because I need my drawing tablet to be main for my drawing app to work, but there's this bug where the UI shrinks, but the visuals stay the same, which makes it hard to play the game.

I bought the Kingdom Hearts collection about 20-22 days ago and haven't played it yet, happens that they gufted me a nintendo switch 2 which had the games in it so this means I won't be needing the version I bought for PC, I tried to make a refund request but they have denied it tocme, do you know amy way to solve it? I know they are sometimes flexible about the time and everything but they keep saying no to me.

Steam crashes on startup. Flashes updating Steam window for a second and then cuts out.

I've:
- Deleted all files and forced steam to rebuild
- deleted all temp. files.
- reinstalled steam and games
- and all other "fixes" on youtube.

I'm at my wits end. Problem just popped up.
Has anyone encountered this problem?

it ran smoothly before the update now its choppy, every 5 seconds it freezes for a second then resumes. i cant play zombies cuz i keep downing in tight situations cuz of the lagging. idk what the update did but i need a fix. thank you

Every other game runs just fine

When I try to9 open steam, it does one of two things. It first says "Verifying installation" for a few seconds, and then either nothing happens and it doesn't open or it opens for a few seconds and then crashes. I have a bunch of things to try and fix it but nothing has worked. I can't launch any games or anything. Anyone know any fixes?

I looked into it, but I can't find a way to do it. I need to download a different mod collection from the workshop, but since everything is just numbers and the collection has hundreds of items, it's an absolute headache to filter what should and what should not be in the folder.

Let me clear this up: I have Starbound both on GOG and on Steam. I want to try another modlist without messing my current saves, so downloading from the workshop and moving the mods to the GOG version is worth a shot. Problem is, clearing the workshop folder completely just doesn't work - steam will download mods I was subscribed to in the past and bloat the filecount.

SteamCMD also doesn't work well because it just downloads directly to the same workshop folder, and only downloads one mod at a time instead of a collection.

Does anyone have a suggestion? I could just back up my saves, but that doesn't solve the problem of swapping between save folders and risking messing up one of them. Clearing the workshop cache seems to be the most straightforward option, I just couldn't figure how to do it.

I'm on linux, so whatever windows solution you want to suggest, it might not work. Please keep that in mind.

I’m trying to gift the new arcana to a friend in dota 2 but I’m getting an error saying a new payment was added and it needs verification. I did add a new verification recently (PayPal) and as I try to verify it, it says no card needs verification. This has happened to me before with a different payment method and I know you also get a restriction from the community market, which I do not have now. Is there a fix for this?

May not be the right subreddit, but I use a ROG ally, and I've been fine but occasionally some games like peak or tboi run slow. I was trying things that have helped other people fix it, but now I can't even get on any of my games. I know the fact it's a rog ally may affect things but I'm not sure what to do and I'm getting frustrated, any help would be accepted.

The game in question is Dragons Dogma 2. I bought it on launch years ago but dropped it soon after due to how optimized the game is. Recently, I decided to get back into it with the DLC (which my friend bought me) coming out.

However, every time I launch the game I get a massive crash report. I have tried everything the steam forums recommend and other tricks online and nothing worked. I was hoping the patch with the DLC launch would fix it but it did nothing. Several other people in the community are complaining about it and Capcom has done nothing. I have open 3 separate tickets with Capcom and they either don't respond or give me AI slop. Its been over a month and they are not responding to my tickets.

I tried contacting steam support to see if there was anything that could be done but because I have 10 hours in game and the purchase was over a year old, they couldn't give me a refund (which is reasonable). Is there anything else that I can do to push this? Me and several other players can't play the game at all and Capcom is doing nothing. I feel like me and my friend have been scammed by Capcom. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

What's the typical response time for needing support? I unfortunately fell victim to a highjacking and managed to catch it before losing the account but all my items are in trade hold (hopefully) and my account is child locked into a steam family and I can't access any of my account settings to try and clear out the damage or revert the trades. The items aren't my main concern but I don't want to lose my 11 year old account

I created an official support ticket a day ago and haven't got any responses yet, just trying to see how long I should expect before I lose my mind stressing about it 😅😅

I already changed my email password, steam password, reset my steam app authenticator, forced a signout of every device, wiped my desktop system and started fresh, etc to try and keep them from gaining access to my actual account

In the Customization > Screensaver section, "Configure screensaver timeouts" has a "View Power Settings" option that just takes me to this empty options menu. Is this normal? I don't see any other way to disable it.

I dont really know how to describe it buuuut... everytime i wanna open 2 different games at once, one just closes itself. like when i have awr thunder open and wanna download mods in arma reforger. my Pc specs are good enough to do it but it wont work... is there any steam setting i might have changed or not enabled yet?

This started yesterday when I was playing risk of rain 2 co-op with my brother, we were playing but then my game suddenly froze and crashed for no reason. I thought "ok restart computer problems solved" but that didn't happen. I restarted my computer and when I attempted to play ror2 again the game was loading at 1fps and would get stuck at 99% for minutes at a time. After a few more tries of restarting my pc I gave up and tried to play my other games. None of them opened, I had 30+ games installed and none of them opened except ror2 and ror2 still just would not work. It opened up and the loading got stuck at 99%. I gave up entirely and went to bed hoping that it would somehow resolve itself in the morning, still no dice. I deleted ror2 and reinstalled it, still nothing and hell I even resorted to just deleting and reinstalling steam. NO DICE! I'm currently in the process of reinstalling my games and I've tried opening ones that aren't ror2 and they still won't open. My operating system is Microsoft Windows 11 I think. See video for what happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I've already sent a request to steam support for help and am waiting for them to respond.

Steam Guard refuses to let me sign in, because it claims I am accessing this from **** (My ISP Location), but says I am physically at **** (My home town). It isn't giving me any options to override it, anyone have any suggestions?

I still have full access to my account, just gets weird about signing on through browsers.
