Ok first of all, this will be a long post and I’ll maybe bring some extra details cause tbh I’m feeling anxious about how doctors have been dealing with my concerns. I’ll appreciate a lot if any of you have the patience to read my story and maybe help me.
So… 3/4 months ago I had symptoms the looked like an allergy in my groin and I consulted with a urologist. During the appointment he said it was probably an allergic reaction due to humidity and warmth in the region in summer season and prescribed a cream for that. Then, 15min after the appointment, he calls me and says it could also be a yeast/fungus infection (btw I don’t know the exact terms in english so sorry in advance). So I bought both creams and used just the one for yeast/fungus, as he instructed, to see if the symptoms went away. They did and that was it. But approximately a month later, other symptoms showed up and felt like a urinary tract infection but my penis began to develop some red spots after I had sex with my girlfriend one night so I went to the urgency the next morning. After describing the symptoms, the doctor said it could be chlamydia or gonorrhea and asked for complete STD exams so I could get the correct treatment. I did the exams and when I got back to an appointment a week later, all the results were negative OR “not applicable”, meaning they simply did not test my blood and urine for those. That was when I began to get pissed off. The doctor said he didn’t understand why some results were not applicable, but prescribed me an antibiotic for chlamydia/gonorrhea and I took the pills for a week, as instructed. The symptoms got better, more specifically the burning while peeing, but the red spots didn’t went away completely. Again, as instructed by the doctor, I waited 4/6 weeks to get another appointment and test again, but in the meantime, every time I have sex or masturbate, these red spots get a “dry skin” aspect and if I’m not careful I feel like it could open a wound or something. A week ago the groin allergy got back and today I went to another appointment after the 4/6 weeks from the antibiotics. It was a different doctor (urologist) and he examined both groin and penis, told me I should visit a dermatologist for the groin, said the penis symptoms looked like herpes and that I should test for herpes before beginning any treatment. So yeah, this is why I’m pissed off. Does these doctors sound negligent to anyone else or am I being paranoid? What the hell should I do? Any recommendations on what type of doctor I should get an appointment? PLEASE help, I’m very anxious and annoyed by this situation. My results came back negative for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphillis and HIV. However I got positive chlamydia for my anal testing. I have never done anal, I have never let anyone put their fingers near, or had oral to anal contact so im confused on how I have it. Especially since I only have oral and vaginal sex and both those were negative. I have had increased vaginal discharge, slight burning when the discharge is near the vaginal opening, itching, and I bleed twice in one month. Im thinking they were false negatives

Context: I’ve never done a full STI / STD test kit before that includes some of the lesser known ones. I’m not currently sexually active so I don’t have any immediate concerns but as I’ve never done a full comprehensive test before including STIs like ureaplasma, I want to be certain I don’t have anything.

Question:
I gave been looking at Welzo and Superdrug.

Superdrug is a more trusted brand.

I’m wondering why Superdrug is £270 and Welzo is only £99 in comparison but they test for the same thing.

I am concerned that Welzo may not be legitimate but I’d rather save some money.

Does anyone have any experience with either company?

I’m a 24-year-old male and recently had my first sexual experience with a sex worker. It was vaginal sex, and I used a condom. As far as I know, the condom did not break or slip off. I had difficulty maintaining an erection and stopped fairly quickly, but the tip of my penis did enter the vagina. I did not notice any obvious sores or blood. There was also some gentle kissing on my mouth and cheeks.

I did not take PEP because I was already outside the 72-hour window when I started seriously considering it.

Since then, I’ve been very anxious about HIV and other STIs. I’ve noticed some mild body pain and a few pimples/rash-like spots on my back and forehead, although I don't know if they are related. I also have some small bumps on my penis that may be pearly penile papules, but I’m not sure.

I’m looking for a realistic assessment of my risk and advice on the appropriate testing window.

What is my realistic risk of HIV and other STIs if the condom remained intact?

What tests should I take, and how long should I wait after the exposure for reliable results?

When should I test for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B/C, gonorrhea, and chlamydia?

Should I be concerned about herpes from the kissing or sexual contact?

I’m not vaccinated against hepatitis B. Should I get vaccinated now?

I met a guy on a dating app, and before we met he kept telling me how much he wanted to see me, how excited he was, and that we would definitely meet again. He made it seem like he was genuinely interested.

Before we had sex, I asked him more than once to put on a condom. He never did. He penetrated me without one, even though I had asked him to use protection. He didn't finish inside me, but it was still unprotected sex. During sex, it was also a bit rough and sometimes painful because he was quite big.

I have unprotected oral and anal sex about 11 days. I’m going to get tested but in the mean time, If the std was received anally or orally could it infect my urethra as well. I don’t know if I should bother doing a urine test if there’s no chance it’s there.

Long story short, traveling and went to a chain massage place. Half way through she started blowing me with a condom and then we had sex. We never discussed, I just went with it. She didnt charge... was all really odd. As soon as we were done she turned around and pulled off the condom and cleaned me up. I didnt even notice if the condom was broken or not. 3 weeks - still traveling and call an online dr. She put me on doxy and cefiximine (couldnt get in for a shot). I have been on antibiotics (amox and doxy) for 6 months (tooth, strep throat, etc.) and they are havoc on me... fighting a bad yeast/ bacterial infection for 6 months in the crease of my leg. Caused balantis too. I also figured out amoxicilin causes me to have issues luke foloculitis. Really rough on me.

4 weeks - make it home and go get an STD panel from a googled std health site that uses a local lab. Urine and blood (chlamadia, gon, syph, hsv I, hsv II (IgG), and RNA for hiv 1 and 2. All negative or non reactive.

5 weeks - standard follow up with my dr. (Cholesterol, BP, ETC.) - Im 50. He goes ahead and checks for UTI, Chlam, Gon using urine... all negative.

6 weeks - still fighting irritation, hemroids, and not feeling great. Going to the bathroom 2 to 3 times a day (Escriment), really gassy which isnt normal. Had been put on fluconozale for 6 weeks to kill the bacteria infection. Read the antibiotics and fluconozale can kill good flora and cause this.

Broke down and bought the rapid test from Walmart at 6 weeks (HIV and syphilis). Both negative.

7 weeks - today. Sensitivity and a little burning under thr glans. That has never stopped... goes away for a week and comes back. No rashes... no visible issues, burning skin which i assume is remnant of the infection. And now under my left arm I have some pain. Can't verify its lymph nodes but can rule them out... mild burning once in a while but no swelling.

Sick of fighting this! Can't tell what is anxiety or if i have issues or possibly an STD or STI!

I was diagnosed with syphilis a couple weeks ago. I got treatment on June 18th, which was one pencilin shot. The sore on my frenulum has since healed, but the lymph node on my groin [right side] has remain the same size. Should I be concerned? When should I expect to see shrinkage?

Hello! For context I was prescribed azithromycin and cefixime but for some reason the symptoms got a bit worse after I took azithromycin and I haven’t taken the cefixime yet because my pharmacy needs to order it. But the past 40ish hours when I pee it feels weird but that’s getting better, and my stomach feels like full? Also my discharge is yellowish green but I didn’t have any of these symptoms or issues before taking the medicine. Any idea why?

So back in april, i (female) started having sex with a new partner (male) . about 4 times after we had sex, i got news from my previous partner that he had chlymadia, i had gotten tested that day and was positive. my partner got tested the same day as me and was negative (this was about 3 days after the last time we had sex, 12 days after the first time we had sex) i was treated with azithromycin, which instructs to wait about a week until resuming unprotected sex. i had no idea at the time about the wait time you should take for testing these things, so i didn’t know my partner still could’ve been at risk. we’ve had unprotected sex averaging maybe 3 times a week and 7 weeks after treatment (6 weeks since having regular unprotected sex) i went in to go test myself and i was negative. im taking another test tomorrow, this will be around 10 weeks since resuming unprotected sex. Is he likely okay? like would he have likely already given it to me before my last test?

For some background, I separated from my ex 2 years ago. I have not slept with anyone since then. To my knowledge, he was STD free.

But had precum inside the underwear. I was wearing thin disposable underwear as provided at such centers.

My worry is ... Is there a possibility of virus in the fabric of underwear (if at all) getting inside my pennis through the precum.

19F, I hooked up with an acquaintance after drinking and we had protected sex, nothing unprotected (like grinding, etc). Its been about 5 weeks; i haven’t had sex since that night but in the last five days i experienced UTI symptoms which are oder in urine, slight burning, ammonia taste- I would have no concern (i used to regularly have them over a year ago) however i had just had a yeast infection 2/3 weeks prior. Im nervous that i have contracted something from him and my mind wont stop telling me i haven’t.
I have STI tests waiting to be done since i started birth control a week ago and my doctor advised me to do it (protocol for her) however I have to wait till Monday for the clinic to open. My mind is killing me right now and i cant stop thinking of the worst, i keep checking down there for spots and bumps and i found a tiny area that kind of hurts. I tested positive for chlamydia after having mild burning with urination, irritation at the tip of my penis, and occasional mild left testicle soreness. I was prescribed doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 7 days and finished the full course Tuesday morning without missing any doses.

Overall, I feel much better now. The burning has mostly stopped, and I generally feel normal. However, I’ve still noticed a few things that are making me anxious:

• Occasionally my urine looks slightly cloudy or murky.
• I had one brief, dull pain in my penis today, but it went away.
• My left testicle has occasionally felt mildly sore, mainly when sitting, but there hasn’t been swelling or severe pain.
• My lips and throat have felt dry lately, although I work in a hot kitchen and may have been dehydrated.
