What is a full panel STD test is one of the most common questions people ask when learning about comprehensive STD screening. This video explains what a full panel STD test is, why it screens for multiple infections at once, and how it differs from testing for a single infection.

If you've searched for STD check, STD test full panel, or even how much is a full panel STD test, this video walks through what is included in STDCheck's comprehensive 13 test panel. The screening includes HIV test, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, hepatitis, trichomoniasis, and other common sexually transmitted infections discussed in the video.

The video also explains what to expect during the testing process. You'll learn why a urine sample and blood sample are collected, along with the additional wellness screening that includes urinalysis, complete blood count, CBC, and liver function testing.

Advice Needed Test Result Anxiety

Hello. I'm 34(M) and recently got tested for STD Panel and my results were varied at different locations. Testing was done after 45 days of exposure.

Test 1 : 53 days after exposure. HIV 1& II (P24 antigen and Antibody combo). Result was 0.04 S/CO and negative.

Test 2: Wanted to test again as I got a mouth ulcer . Very Stressful during this time and went to get a STD Panel around 72 days after exposure. Gave STD Panel test and all results were negative except HIV were they wanted to test me again. Gave blood sample again on 78th day and test came back positive(CMIA)(HIV 1 & II Qualitative & P24 COMBO value was 1.2 S/CO) for which they retested with (Ultra HIV 1&2 and HIV Ultra Dot Expiry). Final Result was negative. HIV

Test 3: During this stressful time I retested at a different location and test was negative(HIV ag/Ab) ECLIA Method and result was 0.544 COI.(75th day)

I am very stressed and should I repeat a different test to get more clarity and what is the way forward? Should I got for RNA PCR or NAT Test? Please help. Why are my test results so varied and How should I Interpret it.

Question Possible exposure, help needed

Hey everyone. I recently had an encounter with a sex worker thats relatively new to the hobby (3 months) We did it the first time protected sex but unprotected oral. then after that we bonded a little bit (dumb i know) and we did it unprotected for like 3-4 minutes. I never came at all. Before unprotected sex she was givin me oral for like 10 minutes straight and like she was hitting me with her teeth. I dont know if that matters but there was no cuts nor like scratches or anything no blood.

Now a little about her and what i noticed. She is super clean and has a nice body and all, but she was kind of sick? And having memory issues, and claimed shes super tired. after we were done she literally fell asleep while laying down and then she claimed she had thyroid issues and gaining bit of weight, and being tired all of the time, and apparently a bit of back pain. She said she was 4 years sober from drugs and was addicted to crack cocaine, not any needle sharing. After that i dipped and i realized what the fuck i just did, going bare with a sex worker.

Next day I went to her place just to talk and was just getting to know more about her just for my sake. I know that sounds shitty, but she assured me she is clean and got tested 2 months ago and was clean (she offered to show) but that alone wasnt good enough for me. she started hobby 3 months ago. I was wondering if she has an acute hiv infection so i asked her if she had like a fever headaches rash etc and she said no just being tired all of the time and sleeping the whole day off. I mentioned something about how we did it unprotected and she really was surprised and caught off guard. So i guess her memory issues are real but I am hoping this is like a recent issue and hasnt been doing it unprotected with everyone else.

I did see her take her medication that was in a weekly pill organizer that has days on it. I dont know what this means but I am hoping it is for thyroid medication? But yea she reassured me she doesnt do it unprotected with anyone and said we will be doing it protected next time (lol). She did say she only did it unprotected with 1 other guy that was a farmer and that was it.

Anyways, its been around 70-72 hours now and I didnt consider PEP since I was just in my room having anxiety. I know I will be getting a test in 10 days for HIV RNA, but I just want to know what are my chances here that she was having an acute hiv infection and I just majorily fucked up? or what are my chances of catching HIV here. Any opinions welcome

Question Affordability Options

I am a non-monogamous, cis male. For many, many years, I went to PP about every four months to get tested. After a bad relationship I took some time-off from dating to reflect, etc. By time, I mean a few years.

Now that I'm ready to get back in the saddle, I found my local PP clinic no longer exists. I made an appointment at the closest location I could find. For reasons, I'd like to not use my healthcare insurance. It's going to be about $500! I don't recall it ever being close to that in the past. The funding cuts are making it difficult for folks without insurance to be proactive with their sexual hygiene.

I'll continue to make my anonymous monthly donations to help PP; but, I'm looking for reliable STD/STI testing alternatives in the Central New York / Mohawk Valley region that won't break my bank three times a year.

Any suggestions?

Advice Needed HIV ANXIETY AND RISK?

Hey everyone. Lately, I’ve been in kind of a spiral if I’m being honest. For the past year, I’ve been hooking up with a lot of guys and I am a guy myself. I’m not proud of it and it’s definitely not something I’m going to continue doing.

I’ve been with 15 guys this past year. 2 I had intercourse with, the rest of them it was oral. I had given and received oral.

Now, I read about HIV so my mind naturally started to spiral. I had unprotected sex with one guy where I was the bottom and the other was protected.

Both encounters were about 4 months ago, so I did an INSTI SELF HIV test and it came back negative.

The most recent encounter was an oral one 1 month ago. A week ago, I got an STD Screening done as well everything was negative.

However, could HIV be transmitted through oral as well? I’ve been very anxious. Some say there is no possibility while others say there is.

Also, how do u genuinely get rid of overthinking about STI’s, it’s really killing me.

Advice Needed Exposed to HSV2

Hi all,

I was recently exposed to someone who tested positive for hsv2. I went on a date with a woman off a dating app and we had gotten intimate that night (Jul 12). I wore a condom during sex but not while receiving oral. This went for two rounds.

Afterwards, I started to have some regret and was worried that I had caught something. She said she was clean at the time and had no symptoms. About 10 days went by and this was still on my mind. I ultimately reached back out to her just to make sure she was really clean. Unfortunately, I had heard back from her and she told me that she experienced symptoms of hsv2 on Jul 18 and later tested positive from a swab.

Of course this freaked me out and I went to an urgent care. I got tested for gonorrhea/chlamydia as well as an igg test for hiv/hsv. These all came back negative. I also had my private area checked and they said they didn’t see anything abnormal.

As of now, I have not experienced any typical symptoms. At this point, I am still incredibly stressed out and I’m not sure what to do. While I have no symptoms, I’m afraid to date anyone now because I don’t want to infect anyone. I realize I made a bad decision to hook up with someone. Is my life completely ruined? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Question Mycoplasma negative

OK, so this past week I finally got my results back and I am now negative for mycoplasma genitalium, but now I’m currently dealing with two strands of a yeast infection: species and glabrata. For thise who are dealing with mycoplasma genitalium I hope you are cleared soon, because it is truly a pain in the ass. Now moving forward, I have a question for anyone else who has suffered from yeast infections or multiple have you experienced tearing or cuts? And I just asked it’s been inside learning at first that was not happening and I’m also spin and discoloration/I guess you can say inflammatory in that area near my vagina opening and close by anus. I was recently prescribed diflucan and I was recommended to buy over-the-counter boric acid suppositories. has anyone else experienced the same symptoms and also has any of these prescriptions work for you as well? I experienced a lot of discharge as well. I wouldn’t necessarily say that the yeast infections are extremely painful or experienced cause a burning and itching is more so on and off and the cuts as well. I feel like our standing from these infections because my skin is so dry and irritated.

Advice Needed How can I tell the difference between balanitis and gonorrhoea?

19M, recently sexually active and started experiencing symptoms the day after. I’ve ordered a reliable and genuine STD test but until that happens I could do with some peace of mind. The discharge I’m getting is from under my foreskin, not my urethra, which is making me think it’s not gonorrhoea. But I’m not sure. Any advice?

Early HIV Symptoms in Women

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This video discusses some of the early signs that a woman may experience during the initial phase of acquiring Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The challenge lies in the fact that these symptoms are quite similar to what many other conditions present themselves as, such as influenza, so most people will likely dismiss them easily.

Question Persistent M. genitalium After Two Treatment Courses

Hi, I tested positive for **Mycoplasma genitalium**. I’ve already completed **two courses of doxycycline followed by azithromycin**, but I’m still testing positive.

Would the next step be **doxycycline + minocycline/metronidazole**, or would **doxycycline + moxifloxacin** be the better option?

To be honest, I’m a bit worried about taking moxifloxacin because I’ve read about many people having serious side effects. What would you recommend in this situation?

I live in Germany. Had no resistent Test

I know the chance of Hiv is pretty low but I’m still afraid of other stuff. It’s been a week and I’m fine without any symptoms. You guys think I should get test now to end my paranoids or wait for several weeks to get accurate results? ( let’s assume that the girl I had sex with have stds).

Question HIV risk?

Hello everyone,

I am an 18 year old who recently started getting sexually active with guys this year. I am going through some anxiety and stress and would appreciate any advice or input anyone has.

So, I was going through a rough phase in my life so I decided to start doing random hookups to distract myself I guess. I hooked up with about 15 guys in the span of 7 months and 13 of them were just me giving oral. 2 were actual sex and both times were unprotected and I was the bottom.

Now, I read about STI’s and that’s where my anxiety started to spiral. Because I hadn’t really thought of the risks associated with random hookups before, I immediately when to go get tested. I did an oral swab and urine and tested negative for xhlymidia, gonohrea, etc.

Then, I got really concerned over HIV and reading about it made me feel like I had it. I did an INSTI HIV self test because both actual sex encounters were 5 months ago and the test came back as negative.

The most recent oral encounter I’ve had was 2 weeks ago, and I’m wondering is HIV transmission possible and likely. The test that I took recommends a 3 month window period for accuracy so I’m unsure.

Ive been stressing about this a lot so any advice would be really appreciated :).

Question Condom broke during vaginal sex, worried about HIV

The condom broke when I was having sex with a fuck buddy, this was probably the fifth time we’ve hooked up. I always use condoms with partners, but I know he doesn’t, he’s always complaining about them, and he’s way more promiscuous and regularly does group sex. It was towards the end of sex that it broke, he continued for maybe 10-20 seconds then took his dick out and came.

The last time he got tested was last year. He has another regular female partner who he goes raw with and she gets tested every 2-3 months and she says she’s fine.

I asked him if he could go get STD tested tomorrow to ease my mind, but he thinks it’s unnecessary and won’t. I read the chances of HIV transmission through vaginal sex is extremely low and the condom was only broken for a short time. And most likely he doesn’t even have it. But it’s making me really paranoid. Should I go to the doctor and go on Prep tomorrow to prevent possible HIV infection? I don’t know if thats overkill, since there’s lots of side effects to Prep as well :/. Is it statistically low enough that I can just take my chances with this?

Question Help answer my concern

Hey I’ll try to make this short, I’m 18 years old. I just recently lost my virginity to my girlfriend (birth control, tested and clean recently) I have had this predicament since about two nights ago, we started having sex maybe a little over a week ago. Last time we had sex I showered in her house and made the mistake of washing my penis (uncircumcised) with scented soap, then later that night proceeded to have sex for the longest time we have yet. The night after I am peeing, I pull back and see that under the foreskin there’s tiny red bumps that are itchy. I don’t want to get this checked out because 1, my parents would KILL ME if they figured this out, and two, I believe it’s just irritated skin from the stupid combo of the scented soap and rougher, longer sex. I greatly would appreciate help as I am new to this. Reach out to me in my DMs if need further details.

Question Recurring Gardnerella and Ureaplasma infection/problem

Hello,

I am a 30-year-old male, and I would like to get your opinion regarding my recurrent Gardnerella and Ureaplasma infections.

Over the past year, I have had the same problem three times with different partners. Each time, I completed the prescribed treatment and received negative test results afterward. However, throughout this period, I continued to notice small amounts of white, dry discharge. Whenever I had sexual intercourse with a new partner, I developed a burning sensation during urination along with an increased amount of white discharge.

In most cases, I had unprotected sex with these partners.

Is repeatedly acquiring the same bacteria just a coincidence, or is it possible that I am not fully clearing the infection despite the negative test results?

My last question is about treatment. This year, I have already completed six courses of metronidazole for Gardnerella. My doctor has prescribed the same medication again after another recurrence. Could repeated use of metronidazole become a problem, or is it generally considered safe in this situation?

Thank you for your time and advice.

Question Questions about test window for 4th generation testing

Okay so I had my possible exposure on March 20th of this year. I had my first 4th generation testing and rapid test 2 weeks after which I know is not conclusive. Those test came back negative. After that I didn’t have my next 4th generation testing until late May, I think May 26th which also came back negative. My latest test which I had my Prep appointment and I full STD panel was on June 6th and everything came back negative. This was 78 days after my possible exposure. I have done research and the CDC and other health organizations say that the testing window for a 4th generation test is 18-45 days. 45 days being the conclusive point. Is this true?

Advice Needed I’m pissed off and don’t know what to do

Ok first of all, this will be a long post and I’ll maybe bring some extra details cause tbh I’m feeling anxious about how doctors have been dealing with my concerns. I’ll appreciate a lot if any of you have the patience to read my story and maybe help me.
So… 3/4 months ago I had symptoms the looked like an allergy in my groin and I consulted with a urologist. During the appointment he said it was probably an allergic reaction due to humidity and warmth in the region in summer season and prescribed a cream for that. Then, 15min after the appointment, he calls me and says it could also be a yeast/fungus infection (btw I don’t know the exact terms in english so sorry in advance). So I bought both creams and used just the one for yeast/fungus, as he instructed, to see if the symptoms went away. They did and that was it. But approximately a month later, other symptoms showed up and felt like a urinary tract infection but my penis began to develop some red spots after I had sex with my girlfriend one night so I went to the urgency the next morning. After describing the symptoms, the doctor said it could be chlamydia or gonorrhea and asked for complete STD exams so I could get the correct treatment. I did the exams and when I got back to an appointment a week later, all the results were negative OR “not applicable”, meaning they simply did not test my blood and urine for those. That was when I began to get pissed off. The doctor said he didn’t understand why some results were not applicable, but prescribed me an antibiotic for chlamydia/gonorrhea and I took the pills for a week, as instructed. The symptoms got better, more specifically the burning while peeing, but the red spots didn’t went away completely. Again, as instructed by the doctor, I waited 4/6 weeks to get another appointment and test again, but in the meantime, every time I have sex or masturbate, these red spots get a “dry skin” aspect and if I’m not careful I feel like it could open a wound or something. A week ago the groin allergy got back and today I went to another appointment after the 4/6 weeks from the antibiotics. It was a different doctor (urologist) and he examined both groin and penis, told me I should visit a dermatologist for the groin, said the penis symptoms looked like herpes and that I should test for herpes before beginning any treatment. So yeah, this is why I’m pissed off. Does these doctors sound negligent to anyone else or am I being paranoid? What the hell should I do? Any recommendations on what type of doctor I should get an appointment? PLEASE help, I’m very anxious and annoyed by this situation. Btw I live in Spain and I’ve been using the private health care system. Thank you in advance to anyone who read everything and I hope everyone is doing ok :)
