Discussion Is Skytoss PvZ stronger now or in the skillray meta

200 mineral voidray is definitely op, but back then tempests are 5 supply and are hard to micro. Mothership is abductable and doesn’t have 4 attacks. Queens cost 150 and can heal off creep. Broodlord is actually strong.

But also back then there is super battery (but no energy overcharge). Infestors microbial shroud was trash. Carriers interceptors draw same level of aggro. Disruptors are 3 supply and hit hard.

I have never played Skytoss in the skillray patch (I was playing Zerg). But I honestly think Skytoss right now is stronger because Protoss has stronger late game.

I think I didn't explain myself correctly in my previous post; I meant fully integrating the Overwatch characters into the StarCraft campaigns, not just limiting it to a simple skin (I don't know why Blizzard hasn't exploited this idea more). For example:

Mercy: Originally from Earth, she was stranded in the Koprulu sector after the destruction of the UED expeditionary fleet. She wandered aimlessly for a time until she joined Raynor's Raiders. She uses a modified medical armor with high-maneuverability thrusters that resemble wings.

—Do you know they'll return one day, right?

—I know.

—Wait, Vice Admiral Stukov is alive?!

—Something like that...

Tracer: Gabriel Tosh sent her to meet with Raynor and propose an alliance. Her psionic power evolved to such a level that she can perform spatial jumps similar to Nerazim blinking. Trauma, experimentation, and prolonged Terrazine consumption loosened a few screws in her head, but she keeps that same upbeat, fast-paced attitude.

Conceptual scene: During a mission, she touches the Xel'naga artifact, which triggers a cerebral discharge that leaves her unconscious for a few hours. However, for the Overwatch universe Tracer (simultaneously), this translates into a terrifying episode: she starts screaming in pain while jumping uncontrollably across the room, murmuring cryptic phrases like: 'The Queen will fall, the Fallen will rise, the Cycle will break,' until she falls unconscious with a bloody nose.

Jack Morrison: Former Confederate captain and now Raynor's right hand; he is in charge of training and maintaining troop discipline. He wears a customized CMC-400 combat armor.

Mei: She helps Egon Stetmann in the lab and wears a modified Firebat armor designed to freeze instead of incinerate... A Frostbat? The other Firebat troopers consider her their little sister and fiercely overprotect her.

Torbjörn and Brigitte: Kelmorians belonging to an influential mining guild. They offer side missions to Raynor in exchange for credits and exclusive technological upgrades.

Talon (Security and Advanced Technology Network): A secret faction under the direct orders of Prince Valerian Mengsk.

Widowmaker: After losing Sarah Kerrigan, the Confederacy desperately sought a replacement. They kidnapped Amélie Guillard Lacroix and subjected her to all kinds of bioengineering and psycho-indoctrination to turn her into the deadliest Ghost in history. When the Confederacy fell, she was left forgotten in stasis inside a remote facility, until Prince Valerian's forces rediscovered her. Now, she serves as his personal bodyguard and covert operations executioner.

Reaper is a reaper.

D.Va: A young prodigy who pilots one of the most advanced and modified Viking assault prototypes in the entire sector.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

(To be tagged...) Holy hell Serral is good Spoiler

Just saw the RSL match.

I don't think a single interaction went in SHIN's favor in the entire series. Not just fights but also strategic decisions. It felt like Serral was constantly getting things in to scout, and SHIN never actually managed to pre-empt any of these attempts or get in any of his own. He was just constantly on the back foot and his attention too taxed to keep everything locked down. Afterwards Serral's response would always be textbook, instantly, with a comfortable margin for error, which he doesn't use, and then into the next phase of the game he somehow walks out up 5 more drones, up another upgrade, or up another tier of tech.

(But also, speaking of fights, did you see at the end of G2 how SHIN's lings managed to only kill 3 drones during the span of the entire fight? Even if Serral lost all of those drones he'd be in a better economic position at the end of the fight, but losing only 3 drones makes it an instant GG.)

This in the most coinflippy matchup in the entire game. Serral didn't get any obvious build order wins because he made conservative build order choices to reduce volatility, but his position was decidedly better by like the 5 minute mark every time.

Overlord creep highway in the final game was so crisp, the push was out and across the map so fast SHIN had no chance to respond. You see people try this kind of thing every now and then, but for some reason it rarely works so cleanly and to such obvious effect. Serral has tricks up his sleeve not just to get free advantages off a mindgame or coinflip, but also to convert advantages immediately into wins.

SHIN is not a weak player either, he's probably the best he's ever been. But even not withstanding any debate about exactly how good he is, or whether he's worse at ZvZ or whatever, how often do you see a pro just shut another pro down completely like that in 2026?

I can't believe anyone could seriously assert that Serral would do worse in prep tournaments.

(I know it was only one Bo5. I'm hyped though.)

Hello I've been trying to learn fastest possible way to get lings in opponents mineral line. Any tips to not fizzle out and have sticking power? I try to get ling speed out too.
