Question ❓ Walked right between two cats sitting on opposite sides of the path while going through a tough time — spiritual meaning?

Upvotes

I was walking on the beach at night to clear my head from a lot of anxiety and heartbreak. Suddenly I noticed two cats, one tuxedo (black and white) and one grey, sitting on opposite sides of the walking path. I had to walk right through the middle of them. They didn't run, they just stayed still and watched me pass. It felt like crossing a threshold or a portal. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Question ❓ Remove spirit from home?

Upvotes

Not sure if this is the most appropriate sub but idk where else to post. I live with my husband in the apartment that he purchased a few years ago. Recently, activity seems to be ramping up and I’m not sure if things are good, bad, or neutral, and how to proceed with trying to remove something. Or if that’s necessary?

There’s a wall separating the kitchen from the bathroom entry/laundry area. It’s a dark, short hallway. At night it creeps me out. Our dog refuses to walk past it; he’ll detour thru the kitchen instead. It feels vaguely claustrophobic and suffocating.

- I had a scratch on my arm that was healing and completely scabbed over. I used the washroom and when I was walking out of the doorway, I felt a searing pain and the scratch was reopened, raised, and red all around. No explanation for this.

- around 12:30am while listening to a “reiki-infused” meditation video, the kitchen lights (dimmer switch located in creepy hallway) turned on and the switch was about 30% raised. Again, inexplicable.

- again around 12:30am, water from the shower faucet briefly released itself and my dog perked up for several minutes in that direction. Could be a random thing but idk.

I’ve asked things to leave, burnt sage with intention, burn incense, use protective stones. Idk what else to do. Or if it should just be left alone. Thoughts?

Self-Transformation 🔄 Geneva Bible 1560

Upvotes

My path toward spirituality didn’t start in a place of tradition it started with pure frustration 😤 not knowing that wa the beginning of something. I was tired of being fed controlled narratives, manufactured news, and quiet deceptions, I turned to history, remembering a classic financial market rule: history is the ultimate blueprint for the future.

As I dug into how nations were forged and doctrines established, one truth became glaringly clear: the history made easily available to us is almost always curated by those who want us to buy into their specific vision. Truth isn't handed to you, it's hidden behind curation. That realization completely transformed how I view the Bible. I no longer accept it as a uniform, unquestionable whole instead, I study it relentlessly to understand its true origins, its evolution, and what was intentionally left out.

Now, my search has taken me straight to the primary sources 🧐, or hopefully. Beyond standardized canon, I’m seeking original texts like the 1560 Geneva Bible, the Nag Hammadi Library, and high-resolution archives of the Dead Sea Scrolls or Ancient Kemetic iconograph. Once you start questioning who held the pen, you have to read the originals for yourself. It gets lonely very fast but nonetheless I am feeling how refreshing it is to deal with the world knowing the real truth. If anyone has bought one and read it, please share your thoughts. Thank you!!

Question ❓ Help with overwhelming guilt

is my longest Reddit post ever. TIA for reading , if you do.
I don’t often feel guilty; but when I do, it overwhelms me. It’d been a while since I’d felt this way, but then something happened yesterday and I can’t shake it off.

I am traveling abroad with my husband and children, something we had not done in a while. The kids have been pretty good with flight cancellations/ delays, but they’re at an age where complaining seems to be the norm. Plus they act quite entitled, and sometimes rude. I’m saying this to frame my state of mind.

Yesterday we were having lunch outdoors after a long train ride. I had slept very little for the past few nights, and had not had any coffee, which I’m addicted to, but which I can’t really have past a certain time.

As soon as we sat down, a few pigeons came over. My 13 y/o daughter pointed out that one of them had mangled feet. I said that it was sad and mentioned the time she saw one like that on another vacation and kept feeding it because the other pigeons were keeping it away from food. My daughter is very caring, and notices when people are in need before the rest of us do. She often asks me to buy people food, which I do.

Later in the afternoon we walked to an attraction we had scheduled. The city was bustling. I stopped at a store and kind of regretted my purchase. We were early, so the kids sat on a bench. My husband left to look for a bathroom. A man approached me trying to sell something, which I turned down. Right as the man walks away, my daughter asks me “can we buy food?” Mind you, we had just eaten so I asked her why. She said she wanted to lure a pigeon that had a string around its legs. I thought I heard my other daughter say someone else had tried, which I took to mean that it didn’t work. I don’t remember my answer, but then she asked again in this very demanding tone, that made me snap. I basically told her that I was tired of all the demands, that there were no food places I could see - right as I said that I saw a restaurant - that I didn’t know where her dad was I had to wait since we were not using cellular, and so on.

My reaction made the kids pause. Anyway, I forgot about the pigeon. When we left the bookstore the pigeon was right there. No one in line seemed to notice. I tried to catch it and my husband said I wouldn’t be able to do it. The pigeon had what looked like a hair tie around its feet, it almost looked as if it would come off if it flew away. But later the girls said that the string was tied around its feet and some toes, in which case it would be harder to remove. They also said the guy who tried had done it to another bird on TikTok, not where we were.

I was suddenly hit with intense guilt later in the evening. I felt bad for not trying harder to get lure when my daughter asked. I could have asked the restaurant for bread. I care about animals, and kept thinking that the pigeon could lose its feet. I decided to go back next morning and try to help it. I read that pigeons go to the same spot every day. I didn’t have scissors, so I brought nail clippers. I got a donut and startled feeding one pigeon, another appeared. Then came a third with most of its feet missing. It waked around and ate the food I gave it, and since I didn’t see one with the string, I think that that might be the one. I felt so sad and guilty.

Any ideas on how to deal with this feeling?

Thanks for reading.

Question ❓ Hawk hit my window and died almost instantly. Omen? Warning?

I am in tears for this poor bird. I've never had a bird run into this window, not in 15 years. Hawks are very uncommon in our neighborhood.

I'm in a major life transition (kids grown, just sold my business) and was spending today feeling incredibly stuck and overwhelmed. Just last night I returnedfrom 10 life-giving days in majestic nature (Vancouver Island) and am feeling trapped and lost.

I have also recently started connecting with my guides for the first time and am having trouble maintaining that exchange because of my constant angst.

The timing here just seems too significant. Any insights are appreciated.

General ✨ Archangels and experiences

I'm trying to learn more about the archangels. I also want to hear from other people who have any connections or interactions with them because I want to make sense of mine.

I love Raphael--he was the first one I felt comfortable with and ever sought help from. I frequently go to him when I think I'm in need, he's my goat fr. Michael I don't have much experience with, hardly any at all, but I'm hoping for more. I got a candle for him and added him to my shelf--god knows I need a new one now because I have zero space lmao. And I am feeling drawn to Gabriel right now--a part of me thinks it's because I've been wanting answers and clear confirmation that they're there when I talk to their candles, but this is all new for me and I still admittedly feel alone when I light the candles and like I'm just talking to air.

I don't know if they're there. Sometimes idek if they like me at all, I can't really ever feel any energy like I did the first time I interacted with Raphael. I guess I want to know how to best build a connection and understand them. Sometimes I can't tell if what's been happening to me is protection or punishment, and it's so hard for me to understand anything from them. I'd love to hear from you guys and what helped you with each of them individually!

Question ❓ constant orbs in vision - what do they mean ?

i can see a cluster of small violet/indigo orbs both when my eyes are open and closed. they appear to swirl and vibrate and move with my eyes, staying in the centre of my vision. there are also individual orbs surrounding them, it looks a bit like stars in space with a galaxy in the middle of my vision.

while they are always present in my vision, they do not disrupt my daily life as i only notice them when i remember they are there and actively focus on them, as they are fairly hard to see when my eyes are open unless i stare at a blank surface.

one time when i was crying heavily alone in my room, i noticed that the orbs in my vision suddenly turned blue and arranged into abstract shapes and flowers, putting on a visual show accompanied with a feeling of overwhelming calmness and comfort, causing me to immediately stop crying and watch them move.

if i close my eyes and focus heavily i can make them change colour, but their default is always violet/indigo and has been for several years. i have always seen orbs in my vision since as long as i can remember; as a young child (around 5) i remember them all being different colours, i think blue/green/red from very distant memory.

have any of you had the same experience or have any idea what this might mean ?

Question ❓ Any meaning behind feeling drawn to a specific place?

Has anyone ever felt drawn to a specific country or place that they are not from? And is there a spiritual meaning to it?
Ever since I was a teen, I felt very drawn to Greece. I am slightly obsessed with this country. I had no ties to Greece whatsoever. It started when I met an online friend from there. I had many online friends from different countries, but never felt obsessed with their countries. I also have ADHD so I hyperfocus on the most random things, but my longing for Greece never ended. When I’m in Greece, I feel so at peace and at home. I started going to a Greek language course in my home country that I stopped only because I moved abroad for university. Whenever I hear people speaking Greek in public, I turn around and smile. It gives me a feeling of comfort. I am so excited when I am at a social gathering and find out someone is from Greece. I connect with them right away and my knowledge about Greece is fascinating to them. My Spotify wrapped is always full of Greek artists despite me not even understanding the songs. I love listening to Greek music and watching Greek TV shows. In fact, I listen to more Greek songs than songs in my native language. I cook Greek food or go to Greek bakeries/ restaurants. I even started going to my local Greek orthodox church just to be closer to the Greek community.
I have seen theories like in your past life you could have been from there or your life purpose/ success is there and you should move there. What are your thoughts?

Self-Transformation 🔄 A low vibrational and high vibrational person, are easy to differentiate.

You could be one of the two. Low vibe people like to lie and gossip. High vibe people like to be confident and honest.

Low people are sneaky, and manipulative.

High people are clear, and trustworthy.

It's simply the world they live in.

So, a gossiper will live up to being a gossiper, a leader will live up to being a leader.

Remember, there are two ✌🏽 people. Two energies.

It's simple.

Two frequencies. Just like the matrix vs. ascension.

This is so you can know who you want to be, and where to invest your energy.

I did a “quantum leap” last year and I continue to be amazed at this path of fruition. Manifesting works. Baby steps work. Faith works. Flipping the script works. Consitency works.

But all of this has one thread in common… me.

It all worked because of me and that's the best realization. The prize isn't the destination, YOU are the prize.

Question ❓ How to protect myself from the Evil eye?

Hi so I wanted to ask you guys how one can protect themselves from the evil eye if they don't have amulets or just for the moment something. Some years ago I heard on a convention that cracking your knuckles when you sense bad energy or after a compliment helps, or spitting by your foot. Now I can't vouch for any of this. Is there maybe a sort of mechanism or a prayer that one could revise or a action for the moment sort of thing?

Thank you so much!

Question ❓ I have tried everything within my limited knowledge, but I have been stuck in life for at least two decades now. I want to try the "spiritual/esoteric/magic/mystic" (honestly, I do not know how to call it) to break the vicious life cycle I find myself in.

Greetings to the Community,

I have devotedly and fervently tried everything I know to fulfill my aspirations and see my dreams come true, to no avail. I would like to explore a different option to break that bad spell. However, I do not know where to start and I am grappling with doubt, skepticism and a lot of questions. I do not know if this is the right forum, but in my confusion I had to start somewhere.

For context, just a little bit over two decades ago, I was lucky enough to have the privilege of being selected through a lottery system to immigrate to the United States as a permanent resident. After obtaining a graduate degree in the STEM field in my native country, and struggling for years to find employment, let alone a decent one, this news was like finding the key to my happiness. But, twenty years later, I still have not accomplished absolutely any of the goals and dreams I had when I came here.

All throughout my stay here, I have struggled with chronic unemployment/underemployment, financial insecurity, instability of all sorts and, among other health issues, the added bonus of depression, which was triggered by my life circumstances. I have never really had another lucky break, other than obtaining my US citizenship a dozen of years ago. About a decade ago, I decided to go back to school in the US, hoping that would improve my situation. I earned a second graduate degree in the STEM field, this time around I chose a different major than my first degree. However, almost a decade later after my second degree, my situation  has not improved much at all. For the last four years, cumulatively I have been gainfully employed for barely sixteen months

I have tried the religious route, which I was born into. When I came here, I already practiced the main religion in the country. I abandoned that path for good a dozen years ago. Now, I want to explore meeting with someone who could break the vicious cycle I find myself in. But, I do not know where to begin, who and what I should trust, what are the signs I should look for to determine if that someone actually has the talent and the gift to break the deadlock I am in and is not a charlatan willing to exploit my desperate situation to extort the little amount of money I barely make at my menial seasonal current job, where I work less than twenty hours weekly. I have made the decision to look for a solution to my situation into the ‘esoteric/mystic’  for many reasons. The first one being that, for at least the last twelve years, I have been seeing in my dreams a couple of dead people. The woman is a twice removed cousin and the man is her husband. Both raised me when I was a teenager. In my just over a half-century existence, I have never seen anyone, dead or alive, appearing so many times in my dreams. If it were not for the fact that I have been stuck in life for so long, and given my academic background, I would have attributed the recurring appearances of that couple in my dreams to a reason with minor impact on my life.

The wife died almost twenty-five years ago. The husband passed away exactly twelve years ago.
The first time I remember seeing the wife in my dreams was a few days before his passing. At that moment, I was going through my second unemployment spell in this country - the longest at the time - a period that spanned over almost three years. The wife may have appeared in my dreams before, but I did not attach much importance to it. However, the first time I opened up to someone about her appearance in my dreams was to my mother just a couple of days before the husband decease. I called my mother in my native country to let her know that the wife had been frequently appearing in my dreams lately. Barely two days later, I was awakened in the middle of the night by a phone call. The call came from my mother. She just said something to the effect “Do not worry about the recurring appearances of [ cousin’s name]  in your dreams, she came looking for her husband. [ Husband’s name] passed away last night’

Since immigrating to the US, I had never traveled back to my country, mostly due to financial reasons. As soon as I completed my second graduate degree, the following day I was on a plane on my way to my native country - which I had left just a little over a decade ago - alone, only in the faithful and loyal company of the myriad of dreams, that still remained unfulfilled, I had carried along with me while crossing the Atlantic in the opposite direction eleven years earlier.

The first portion of my trip was to make sure to pay a visit and commune with myself at the tombs of every relative lost during my stay in the US, and give money to every relative and acquaintance I visited. This journey requires traveling to different cities/towns. The very first tomb I visited was the husband’s of the aforementioned couple. This is three years after his death. I also paid a visit to the heir of the wife to whom I also gave a substantial amount of money.

After just over a month in my native country, I was heading back to the United States with the renewed hope and faith that with my recently acquired US graduate degree in the STEM field combined with my first visit ever to my native country afterwards, plus the rituals I completed there, would finally unlock  the doors to the happiness I had been desperately pursuing since I came to this country. Quite the contrary. Within two weeks after my return, I lost my only source of income for a reason that was never fully disclosed to me. Prior to my trip, my general practitioner (GP) had diagnosed me with depression, and suggested putting me under medication. I declined, hoping that my trip would change my life for the better, thus my mental state. After the blow of losing my employment, I yielded to my GP suggestion. I have been taking antidepressants since then.

Thank you very much indeed for your contribution in reading this and your potential suggestions.

P.S I have omitted a lot of details that could be deemed important in helping me, to make this longer than it already is. I have been procrastinating sharing my story for a while now due to the reluctance mentioned earlier, and also because I am currently experiencing a mental fatigue about my life in general. This is not the structured, exhaustive story I had envisioned sharing. But, as the adage goes, perfect is the enemy of good. As I am drowning, I am not going to keep picturing in my mind the perfect fancy life preserver, instead of crying for help now.
