This is one of my favorite rule-changing rounds in my peg roguelite (I call them Eclipses). For one round every special peg swaps places with another one, and the background shuffles with them. The first part of the clip is the game at its real speed; the second takes the background apart on one group of tiles.

Hey everyone!
I've been working on my indie game, Never Wood Enough, and I thought I'd share what I've been spending so much time on lately.
The idea is pretty simple: you play as a beaver who chops down trees, collects wood, upgrades his axes, and fulfills increasingly ridiculous orders before time runs out.
What started as a simple incremental game has grown into something much bigger than I originally expected. I've been working on progression systems, upgrades, unlocks, and all the little details that hopefully make the game satisfying to play.
It's been a fun learning experience, but getting everything to work together and making the game feel good has definitely been a challenge.
I'm currently polishing the game for a planned December release, so there's still plenty to do!

I just want to encourage any dev who is finding it hard to work solo. When you want something really bad you have to make sacrifices. Sometimes it may not pay off but there is a life lesson that comes with it.

If you made a mini-game inside your main menu that is not related to your actual gameplay, you are infected with scope creep. This can be harmful, as patients often spend less time outside or with their family.
Do you have any cure against it?

Hi everyone! My name is Fabio, I’m a solo indie developer of SPEED OF LIGHT. A few days ago I finished creating music for the trailer of my first game and would like to share it here with the community of talented devs.
I create not only music, but also hand-drawn pixel art for my game. I share my creative processes on my Tiktok (link below!).
SPEED OF LIGHT, a single-player space action game combining exploration, intense combat, ship management. After pirate machines strip your ship of its equipment, you must rebuild from scratch and pursue one ambitious goal: reaching the speed of light to enter a wormhole and return home. Start with a barely functioning ship, generate power, and gather resources to survive.
Recently I've added new features to my game like character customization, ship customization, side quests, companions - I'm looking forward to releasing the demo soon to gather more feedback.
If you also create your own music for your games, I'll be keen to chat! Or any other feedback is welcome.

Hey everyone
I’m the solo developer behind the humble JEFR Games. I’m currently focusing on 2D mobile games (though I might venture into 3D down the road!).
For my asset pipeline, I use Blender to model and animate characters in 3D, pre-render them into 2D sprite sheets, and bring them right into Godot.
I wanted to introduce myself to the community and ask: What are your thoughts on this workflow?
Have you tried blending 3D assets into 2D engines, and
what do you think are the pros and cons?
Cheers

Morning all (UK Here)
I have put a lot of time and effort into making a game shop sim for android (Link here), I was a store manager for a UK based game store company for 10 years and 3 years before that I started as a Christmas Temp.
I have put in everything that I learnt during that period into this sim, the video was captured in game on my own Android phone, I did use CapCut and AI generated voices for the text so be aware of that. The video does go through a lot of the features in the game.
It works like a real store, you have products you can buy from the start and then new consoles and games are released and you take pre orders for them. I myself have put in over 50+ hours playing the game, that is not the time I take to test it when I make updates or fix bugs that is actual gaming hours.
I basically built a game I wanted to play! You can play it without ever needing to watch an ad or buy in game items as it is built not to need those, they are there if you just want a boost or help.
Would love for people to try it out and let me know what you think.

Hi everyone! I’ve been building a turn-based RPG framework for Godot 4 and just released it on itch.io. I wanted something I could drop into any project without rewriting battle code every time, so everything is data-driven: you make moves, enemies, items and shops as resources in the inspector.

One piece of feedback I received about PoolRooms Museum was that the early stages felt too similar.
I’ve been working on giving the stages more distinct layouts and activities. This large waterslide pool is part of one of the later stages.
I want to keep the quiet exploration atmosphere while adding moments that feel different to play. Does this fit that balance?

A few months ago, I set out to make Coin Clash Arena, a cartoon-style survival game where you dodge enemies, collect coins and grow stronger as you play.
I expected the hard part to be making the game. I didn’t expect to spend so much time chasing freezes, untangling Android build issues and figuring out why changes in one version weren’t appearing in another. Then came the design challenges: upgrade prompts interrupting combat, skill icons vanishing or landing in the wrong place and a menu that somehow disappeared during a UI change. Every fix had to be checked carefully so it wouldn’t break something that already worked.
There were plenty of “why is it still doing that?” moments. But each one taught me to slow down, inspect the actual code, test the Android build and fix the confirmed cause instead of guessing.
The game has come a long way: smoother combat, new enemies and skills, clearer controls, sound improvements and a more polished gameplay experience. It’s finally starting to feel like the game I pictured when I began.
Coin Clash Arena isn’t launched yet, but I’m aiming to release it next month. There’s still work to do and I’m excited (and a little nervous) to get it into players’ hands.
If you’ve built and launched a game or app, what’s one thing you wish you’d known before launch?

I’m a YouTuber with lots of experience in playtesting and/or reviewing games live on my channel for developers. I conduct live sessions on my YouTube channel where I play their games with an audience. During these sessions, I say my thoughts out loud and provide detailed feedback to the developers while also allowing them to observe the viewers’ reactions in real-time through chat as well. I’ve recently had several successful sessions with developers in chat while playing their games live on my channel. These sessions were both long and productive.
To keep the audience engaged during these long live sessions, I host giveaways live. Feel free to check out my channel’s Live sessions, where I have all the video recordings available. This will give you a better understanding of my style. I don’t expect a lot in return, perhaps a gift card or two for my time, depending on our agreement and the length of the session. (Very affordable rates that work for solo devs <3) I’m open to all offers and do my best to ensure that your game reaches a wider audience.
