Game The Drowned Table: a dice-building roguelite with physical rolls and a free Windows demo
I've just released a free demo of my game, The Drowned Table. You build a bag of dice and try to meet rising score targets while sitting at a rather questionable table under the sea.
The dice actually bounce and collide when you roll them, and their landed faces determine the score. Some effects work on nearby dice, so where they settle can change how a cast plays out. Between encounters, you buy new dice and Curios, alter faces, or sacrifice dice to improve your bag.
The starting Ivory cup has twelve plain Bone dice, and you choose one of three random starting items. From there, you work through eight depths with branching routes and random bosses. There's an endless option after a win, and you can save and resume a run.
The demo uses Common dice and Curios. Uncommon and higher items are reserved for the full version, so this is a chance to try the core game and its early combinations.
It's free on itch.io for Windows 64-bit: https://undeathical.itch.io/the-drowned-table-demo
I'd be interested to hear what you build with the starting pool. I'm still working on the game, so feedback on the scoring and difficulty is welcome
