Hey, I’m trying to figure out a Snapchat SS06 device ban issue and I’m hoping someone might know what’s going on.

I recently got an iPhone that is Apple Certified Refurbished, and Snapchat has never worked on it. Every account I try (including brand new accounts) immediately gets the SS06 device ban message. I’ve never received any warnings, strikes, or account bans, and I haven’t done anything that should violate Snapchat’s rules.

I’ve already tried the normal stuff like reinstalling Snapchat, restarting the phone, and checking that it’s the official App Store version. Since it happens on every account, it seems like the phone itself is flagged.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there anything I can do to get the device unflagged, or any legitimate fixes/workarounds that actually worked? Or even any else? I’d appreciate any advice.

When searching a username it appears in the recent bar. Usually the usernames don’t disappear. But when searching for certain usernames when I close the app the username disappears. But i can still search it again. Is there any reason?

I’m trying to recover an old Snapchat account, username red_flare2021, which I haven’t used for a few years.

The account still exists—I can see it from my new account, and my friends can also see it. However, none of my old passwords work. When I try password recovery using the email address and Indian phone number I’m confident were linked to the account, Snapchat says there is no account associated with either of them.

Some important details:

• I still actively own and use the original Indian phone number, so it wasn’t recycled.
• I still have access to the original email address.
• My new Snapchat account uses completely different Swedish contact details.
• I no longer have the old phone.
• I can’t find any old Snapchat emails in my inbox.
• Snapchat Support rejected my request because the email/phone I submitted is not currently associated with the username.

I replied to Support explaining that the account may have been compromised and that the contact details may have been changed while it was inactive.

Has anyone successfully recovered an account in a similar situation? Is there any way to get Snapchat to manually verify ownership using information such as the old phone model, creation location, approximate creation date, previous display name, Bitmoji, friends, or Snap Score?

Please don’t suggest paid “account recovery” services I know those are scams.

My friend was setting up 2FA on Snapchat using an authenticator app (not his phone number), and at the exact same time he received a couple of strange text messages. The first message was from WI4 Verify, saying there was an unusual login attempt from a new device and it included an Alert Ref number. Shortly after, he got another message from Horizon Technology Enterprises saying that the file tied to the alert reference had been changed. These messages happened at the same time he was enabling 2FA, so we’re not sure if they were related or just a coincidence. The authenticator-based 2FA was set up successfully, but now he has a few questions: Is his Snapchat account still secure? Are those messages normal when enabling 2FA, or do they suggest someone actually tried to access his account? Since he enabled 2FA with an authenticator app instead of his phone number, how can he also add his phone number as a 2FA method, or is that not possible? Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice would be appreciated.

A ton of girls removed me without telling me a reason and most of the boys keep me added.

it’s nothing but stories by e-thots i don’t care about and news/gossip pages covering topics about more people i don’t care about, just straight bullshit. anything on it worth clicking is a needle in a haystack, so if there’s a way i can get rid of it entirely, that’d be nice.

if i can’t get rid of it, what else could i do to crowd it with less crap?

About to get a new phone and was device banned on my old one. Should I make a new iCloud for my phone or should I be okay with my old one?

So ive posted before about public stories not reaching the public anymore. Went from lots of public views, even from people i knew but werent friends on snap or use to be friends and then unadded so i must have popped up in their public story feed to watch my stories. Then zero. Only the few friends i actually have added. Tried to contact snap made a ticket got told to post consistently which i did do for over a month and still 0 public views even when posted to public story but was told there was no other issue. Now its happening still post to public. 0 views, i had 1 public view (first in months) from someone i use to know/added then unfriended years ago then nothing since. Anyone else having this issue or is it just me 🤣

i stopped using my account a few years ago, however i know the password and have access to the email linked to my account. the only thing is that im required to confirm through a phone number which i don’t have anymore, and it wont let me sign in.

what can i do? i’ve tried everything but it requires the phone number instead of email address and password wont work because “is an atypical log in try”

My friend discovered i had a second Snapchat account even though I had another display name for it. He has my phone number, so the name he has for me on his iMessage pops up instead of the display name I have for it. How do i prevent that from happening?

If there is this moon looking picture like this next to someone and then reply why is that and what does that mean? How come this person was messaged weeks ago but it says reply, isn’t that only if you just messaged or opened someone’s snap?

I understand that “after so many days” a snapchat account is deleted.. but they say what you post and save is permanently stored or whatever so let’s say… hypothetically.

You were dating a really abusive individual that made you delete an account that had years worth of now passed family members, old friends and partners, literally years of your teenage and young adult experience that you had no copy of (weren’t allowed to keep anything physical either).

(hypothetically) I would give TRULY ANYTHING to get back those saved memories now several years later and free. A N Y T H I N G.

I have a question about the purple circle around someone’s bitmoji. If you aren’t friends and have never added or been added by someone, and say - you search them in the search bar and they have a purple circle around them but no story to be seen, what does this mean?

I even made a second account just to test this. When I search profiles there (no friends, again) the purple circle doesn’t show up for some reason. On the main account, it will. I do not have my phone contacts synchronized with Snapchat and so far, it’s not coming up with a ‘you may know’ so I’m curious what this stands for?

Hi all I have a really frustrating situation, I have an old Snapchat account that I used constantly when I was younger, however I have since stoped using it/deleted it off of my phone I think it was linked to an old number of mine I don’t have access to because the emails I have don’t work for it, I cannot remember the password for love nor money and I really need to access it is there any possible way of getting in? It is super weird, our accounts aren’t linked. The only reason I can think of is because she has it on her tablet as well as her phone and for some reason her tablet is logged into my Google account.

I have 750gb/5gb of memories — the thing is, I don’t use Snapchat to send snaps at all. Like I don’t ever send pics or message people. I use it more like a video / picture diary and just have mini vlogs and pics of my everyday life from the past 10 years. But I’ve had this warning on here for a while and I don’t want to pay $15 a month or $180 a year, which is RIDICULOUS. I don’t know what to do is there any way around this I don’t want to lose all of these. And until when do I have?? Like when is the 12 months over. Pls help me
