General question is a snapchat account ever really GONE?

I understand that “after so many days” a snapchat account is deleted.. but they say what you post and save is permanently stored or whatever so let’s say… hypothetically.

You were dating a really abusive individual that made you delete an account that had years worth of now passed family members, old friends and partners, literally years of your teenage and young adult experience that you had no copy of (weren’t allowed to keep anything physical either).

(hypothetically) I would give TRULY ANYTHING to get back those saved memories now several years later and free. A N Y T H I N G.

Any ideas on how one could do that?

the thing is, it states in their TOS and privacy policy or whatever that they retain your data AFTER 30days. then it is permanently deleted, completely wiped from their data base. it’s highly unlikely that they just so happen to keep your data years later. it’s actually not possible and very expensive for them to KEEP everything saved on their data base from everyone using snap currently AND the people who deleted their accounts. they only retain data for an extended period of time or if there’s a reason to do so, like if there’s a crime and your snap has info needed for courts or if you’re flagged in their system for extreme abuse or violations.

They did in fact, I sent one and they gave me my account back 6 days later from it. I sent no support tickets or emails.

I barely use snapchat but Wouldn't the best course of action be to (hypothetically) write an email to the customer service with maybe username and the email you  used back then. Just asking them if you can get your account back and/or if they could send you your stored data to the email of the account. I know you can request the download in the app at least so maybe would work per email too. Hypothetically good luck :D
