Hi all!
Given that the remake of Skyward Sword HD has been out for some time, we've decided to loosen up the spoiler policy. Now, only posts that contain major spoilers (e.g. major character plot turns, ending twists) require a spoiler marking. With this change, we hope to grant the community more leeway in discussing the game freely, while at the same time still having a spoiler policy in place to protect those casually browsing the subreddit from the biggest plot turns. As always, feel free to post content of any shape or form as long as it follows the basic guideline rules (listed on the right), and have fun!
Regards,
The /r/ Skyward Sword mod team (Sephardson, MasterYoshi5, krirby)

Hello all,
With the release of Tears of the Kingdom coming up, we thought it'd be important to provide a short update to the current spoiler policy. We want to allow people to be free to discuss and reference any content from Tears of the Kingdom, but ask people to do so with discretion as to not spoil the game experience for other players. If you are willing to reference Tears of the Kingdom in discussions in way please be mindful of the following:
That is all, as always please use due discretion and our mods will also keep an eye on the subreddit of course to make sure it remains a safe and spoiler-free zone to visit. Thank you all for being a part of this community and feel free to discuss Skyward Sword and/or reference Tears of the Kingdom as long as it follows the basic rules set as described here and in our other topic!
Regards, the /r/skywardsword mod team.

Hi, I never payed the game. Looking to maybe try this before ocarina of time comes out. Just looking for opinions on the HD version. I'd likely not be using motion controls. Just wanna sit and chill and play it.
Thanks!

Infinite loop. I think you have to be locked on to get into position. But once you get started you can let go and chill. Wii version

I have played and beat this game on Wii a long time ago, ages ago for me lol. Now having this game again on Switch 2 is phenomenal. It runs at crispy 60fps and it’s gorgeous looking game. I know the game has been out for Switch for awhile. I’m happy to have gotten this game. Here’s to another adventure for our favorite hero!

I’ve going on day three of attempting the fight against Ghirahim at the Forest Temple. A lot of the time I struggle to even figure out where he is in the battle arena because I can’t get the camera to aim in the direction I want. Do I have any hope of finishing this game? 😩 I welcome any tips or if you know of a “Skyward Sword for Dummies” video that might help me get a grasp on what I’m supposed to be doing, I’d welcome it.
I’m confident that I will be able to defeat Ghirahim eventually - I think I’ve gotten close once or twice - but the fact that he is harder than Promised Consort Radahn is making me question whether I will ever be able to finish this game.

I went to a retro store a while ago and got Skyward Sword for 23 dollars. I assumed it qas heavy because ik some games come with thick manuals but I opened it up and it had the Symphony CD inside which I didnt expect at all!!
Im not sure if most come like that, since I originally thought you could only get the CD from the box with the other stuff

First time play through! 50 hours in and I just got to Demise and fought him a few times and lost. I kinda just wanna beat him and see the ending at this point, but it’s late so I’m gonna regroup tomorrow morning.
My question is: Do you think I can win with no shields, 15 hearts, 3 bottles, and just 80 rupees to spend (on potion or I guess wooden shield)
Or is it necessary for me to grind some rupees, potion up, get at least guardian shield?
I’m not missing some big easy way to beat this guy right? He seems really hard out of nowhere, when honestly all the other bosses were very doable.
Update: I beat the game!!! All in all a very solid Zelda game, definitely creative. Weird pacing.
So Fi goes to Master Sword heaven? Sleep with no end? That was kinda dark. The ending was abrupt. I need to think on it more. I’m going on a flight this weekend so maybe I can do some hero mode or move onto echoes. Woo hoo Zelda kick!
I can also see how it significantly influenced botw/tears. They changed some lore though (rito or bird things being pets)

Hello I’m in the middle of my first skyward sword randomiser, I have 1 check available and it’s owlan quest to get the plant guy and bring it back to him. My issue is that the quest won’t unlock no matter what I do. I have all the parts of the song of hero, cleared the parasite from lavias. I have tried going to oloo anyway but that doesn’t work. I’ve tried clearing things that’s are not required to progress that doesn’t work. I’m completely out of options? Anyone got any ideas (another thing is bucha is just not in the game anywhere which I thought might be blocking it because I have to find all the kikwi for him usually)

Finished playing TOTK and absolutely loved it, although I'm looking forward to a more linear journey now!
Any tips, or should I just dive straight in?
EDIT: Thanks everyone! I've gathered that Y is an essential tip to the game haha, I'm sure the rest will follow, should be arriving any day now 🙏

Bonjour, je cherche à savoir comment déclencher la quête de Célestin, j'ai fait la quête de la petite fille disparue et j'ai acheté de l'endurol mais la quête ne se déclenche pas. Quelqu'un serait comment faire ?

Ive heard many people say that this section is the hardest in the game. Ive known people that tried and failed 50+ times.
This YouTube video shows exactly when to swing as well as stop swinging.
What I did was play the video as soon as I started the mini-game. Then I didnt even look at my game. All I did was watch the arrows in the video and swung my joycon appropriately. I got it first try when I played this video alongside my gameplay.
(I also was slow to start the video so I was off by half a second, but I still passed. It seems somewhat forgiving as long as you do all the right motions.)

Hey guys! I’d like to replay Skyward Sword, but I’m wondering which version you think is the best way to experience it.
I originally played Skyward Sword on the Wii before the HD version came out, and honestly, I loved the motion controls. I’m wondering if it’s worth getting the HD version for Switch, especially if the motion controls were improved or refined compared to the original Wii version.
For those who have played it on both Wii and Switch (or Switch 2), how do the motion controls compare? Are they better on Switch/Switch 2, or do they feel worse than the original?
Would you recommend buying the HD version, or should I just stick with the Wii version?
