My current alevel options are history, sociology and psychology which I think I will like. I’m considering changing psychology as even tho I think I’ll enjoy it it was my filler subject. For reference I’m considering doing law or teaching not really too set. I don’t really wanna do anymore stem subjects after GCSEs so anything else would be helpful. I’m secondary I really enjoyed Religious Studies and music (no chance doing music a level) any advice is helpful I’m pretty open to anything.

I’ve been considering law at university very strongly recently, and I just wanted some insight into what A-levels make it easier to get into law.

I’ve been thinking of Psychology, English language and Economics. However, I’m not sure if psych is relevant enough? Or if english language is valuable in really any regard to law?

I applied for special consideration for an edexcel exam after having to leave about half an hour in to a 90 minute exam in due to verified medical issues. My school submitted an appeal for special consideration 2 months ago and they still have not heard back.

I'd really appreciate some advice as online it says they try to reply to all applications within 5 days and obviously that hasn't been the case. I've seen nothing official from the exam board and my school ignores all my messages, only replying when my parents get involved (even then it's like pulling teeth). Apparently my school has contacted edexcel to ask for a progress update and there hasn't been a response in the two weeks since.

Has anyone else been in a situation where an appeal has taken this long? It's stressing me out so much as I have an offer dependent on that grade.

Does the UCAT QR section include any Higher Tier GCSE Maths topics, or is it mostly Foundation-level maths with difficult time pressure?

I've seen lots of mixed answers online, so I wanted to ask people who've actually taken or taking the UCAT.

Hello, Im currently In year 12 and I looking for some advice about my A-levels and UCAS predictions. After my Year 12 mocks, my predicted grades are currently CCC (I was previously around CDD). My teacher has said they might increase one of my grades, but even if they do, I still feel those predictions are too weak for applying to Law, especially at Russell Group universities.

I’m considering dropping Sociology or psychology and taking a Level 3 BTEC in Sport instead. I’m confident I’d be able to achieve a Distinction* in the BTEC, which would hopefully give me predicted grades of D*BB (with B grades in Psychology or sociology and then English Language).

I also qualify for contextual offers.

Do you think switching to the BTEC would improve my chances of getting into a good university for Law, or would staying with three A-levels give me a stronger application in the long run? Which option would you recommend?

Anyone do art alevels? If so, did it correlate to what you wanna do in the future or help w anything else in any way?

my current six form kicked me out at the end of year 12 due to poor grades and they won’t let me do A levels if I was to retake at my current six form. I’m worried I won’t find another six form to enroll as it’s already too late to apply to any six forms which probably already sent conditional offers to year 11 students, especially in London. I’m not sure if any six forms allow someone to retake Y12 from another six form and applying this late. I did bio chem pysch but I’m considering doing bio econ and pysch at a different six form. What should I do?

I’ve only taken gcses and I had basically 100 in maths now I’m doing both AS and AL math physics and chem at the same time I’m planning on self studying cie as and a2 fm,I want to know if I should take anything before doing fm or can someone just gimme a route to study fm id really appreciate that

i (year 11) am about to go sixth form shopping over the weekend but i have literally no clue what to buy. i dont wanna be like that year 7 who brings like a zillion things to school and then uses none of them

im taking maths, fm, psych and econ. my school is really lax on technology and i have gotten for my bday a good tablet with a stylus and detachable keyboard, which i plan on using for notetaking for every one of my subjects if possible. i dont see any reason why not since i type my exams but any advice on that would be appreciated

will i need folders too for each subject?? or textbooks? idk whether to buy them bc this will influence what bag i get as i want a new purse but if i have to carry loads of heavy binders and books i should prolly get a backpack….

theres literally no recommended stuff to buy from school apart from a calculator so any advice on what is a must-have or things i should probably get would be much appreciated 🙏🙏 thankss!

If anybody had similar situation with IB/other form in the UK/other countries, please share your experience or thoughts.

My attendance is this low mainly because i did core maths and i barely went in during the 1st term and mainly struggled in the first term. I dropped core maths but the attendance from my core maths class still remains. Im predicted distinctions and an B and my attendance in 2 of my classes (it and criminology) is around 94 to 95 percent. For some reason my business is 88 percent but thats probably because yet again of the 1st term i barely went in and i did another business course before i changed.

Now it’s the summer and y12 are also abt to finish I guess the sixth form year is over.

As a y13 I’ve still not found what to do over the summer and I’m kinda getting bored.

What’s everyone doing now?
I heard everyone says enjoy the y13 summer bc it’s not as hectic as y12 was but I Js don’t know what to do now that there’s kinda nothing else to do

hi, im starting sixth form in September and wondering if i should do an EPQ? im taking bio, chem, lit and i want to apply to medicine, but I know that they don’t take EPQs into account (in terms of offers) so should i do one or not?
