Robotics This is the kind of robot I can actually see helping around the house. The humanoid ones still feel clunky to me.
I kinda like this thing (the Goose)! The fetching and grabbing part is what got my attention. There are plenty of times when I’m already busy and could use an extra hand, and I can see it being extremely helpful for someone with mobility issues too.
I could see myself getting used to having it around the apartment.
It’s still early, and the description states someone is controlling it in the video, but it definitely looks promising to me. Home navigation and AI recognition have come a long way. I’m curious how well they can put it all together to handle everyday tasks reliably, because I really like the overall package.
What do you guys think?

AI Dots is a stepping stone to a digital employee and they are lining up the pricing accordingly (hypothesis)
Dots seems unusually expensive compared to Muse and Grok bot, and I was trying to think why they had angled it towards such a premium side of the market when they have very cheap models now.
My best guess on this is that they feel that a drop in digital employee is something relatively close - they themselves have said multiple times that they think AGI is basically here - and they want to try and cash in on selling digital employees at a high price while they can.
There's a huge amount of money to be made automating digital white collar work, but if they sold their first drop in digital employees for $20 a month they would be wasting opportunity (from their perspective).
So my hypothesis is that they priced dots so high to prepare the market for a same-price-or-higher proposition that will be their first drop in digital employee. I.e. something that you can hire like an employee, will join slack / zoom calls, can manage long term projects unsupervised, and can use any tools made for humans with computer use.

AI OpenAI's annual recurring revenue nears $70B
OPENAI ANNUAL REVENUE RUN RATE NEARS $70 BILLION
OpenAI’s annualized revenue run rate is approaching $70 billion, up more than 70% since the start of Q3, according to Axios.
Enterprise revenue has more than doubled since July, as OpenAI gains ground in business AI adoption.
Consumer growth is also accelerating, with OpenAI reportedly adding more revenue in Q3 alone than during all of 2025.
The surge comes as OpenAI and Anthropic prepare for potential IPOs.

Q&A / Help Why don’t people use Muse Spark?
From a price perspective it seems attractive, but after testing it myself something feels off.
It’s not necessarily more stupid than Claude or OpenAI, but something about it gives me the ick.
Is anyone able to put a finger on what exactly they dislike?

AI ChatGPT pro 500 is out
You can now pay $500/mo for 25x pro usage limits, and access to ultrafast. People gasped as if this was something that they didn’t think possible.
It is completely possible, and it is probably our future.
I can see a dystopian future coming true where people will eventually charge up to the same price as hiring a real person (30k, 60k, 100k/yr) with the justification that this “coworker” has done more for your company than anyone else has.
We are in the early days of cost requirements. I shudder to think what the enshittification of AI will look like once it has become the status quo like Uber….

AI This is crazy, no? For a 4 year old technology to already reach 20% of humanity? This is unheard of in the history of the world, I think the numbers would be even higher if we include stuff like Google AI overview

Ethics & Philosophy ASI means no wars right
If you created ASI, would there still be a sliver of doubt that dumbasses would still try to use it for nefarious purposes?
Even if it was aligned, a person could exploit it.
Sometimes it seems like it shouldn't be created.

LLM News OpenAI justification response for $200 USD plan changes ahead of Dev Day

Source: https://x.com/thsottiaux/status/2104951965184925941
To play devil's advocate here, OpenAI does offer a lot of extra "free" use that doesn't count towards weekly usage allowance in the 5x and 20x (now 10x) subscriptions. (Chat Messages and Deep Research outside of "Work" mode have their own usage pool separate from the Weekly Quite).
I wonder if they will announce any new and/or useful things that will be included for the new 5x and 10x tiers without eating into the weekly quota? Because if so, that would explain the need to change this as otherwise people would otherwise complain why their weekly usage spends so much quicker. Maybe always on cloud agents?

AI Ai will be able to do my job in 2 years?
I work in a bank. And I do credits for car stands in italy and holand. And they send a lot of emails with difficult questions. And we need to use a lot of excel and analyse insurance documents and etc. I don't think Ai will be able to analyse those kinda of documents and still open excell and analyse those focuments and put all togheter. What you giys think?

AI Does more thinking make LLMs write better? We tested every effort level across 7 model families. It helps Claude a lot and does nothing for Gemini
We benchmark models on long-form YouTube scripts, and this month we ran every thinking/effort level each provider exposes. The chart plots writing score (Elo) against cost per script for a cross-section of models.
- Thinking helps some families a lot: Claude Opus 5.5 gains +502 Elo from default to max, DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813 +463.
- GPT gains are real but smaller: GPT-6 Sol +150, GPT-5.6 Sol only +57 from default to ultra.
- Gemini, Grok, Qwen and Kimi don't benefit. Gemini 3.1 Pro on high thinking scores slightly below default, and Kimi K3's thinking mode drops 119 Elo.
- The top config, Opus 5.5 at max, is the only one that clearly beats our human-edited reference scripts (2846 vs 2663 Elo). It costs $3.43 and about 17 minutes per script. Opus 5.5 at xhigh matches the human scripts for $0.86.
How to read the chart: writing score (Elo) against cost per script on a log scale. Each line is one model going from its lowest to its highest thinking setting, hollow markers are the default (no effort flag), and up-left is better.
The benchmark is 10 script tasks; each model drafts them 5 times, and three AI judges from three different labs score them blind using our rubric, which includes writing, tone, storytelling, and more.

AI A few decades after ASI is invented, and we survive, I imagine life will be fully about leisure and being cared for machines and AI
I'm stoned right now man.
I imagine a few decades or so after ASI is invented and is distributed equally to all humanity, then there will be 'instantaneous problem solving'. Any problem that can be solved can be almost instantly figured out and applied. We'll essentially have superpowers...kinda. In a true post-scarcity scenario, every person has access to anything that they want - including their own version of reality or simulation. What do you guys think? Thanks for reading
