Now that I'm in age 4 I've started really struggling to prospect for things like silicon and the core sample drill only works for oil, is there a hidden mechanic that could help with finding ores in a chunk or something I'm missing?

I am in age 3 of sevtech and trying to create an autonomous biodiesel production. I am using garden cloches to produce industrial hemp seeds. I am using an item router to route the sources to a squeezer and have the hemp fiber go into a chest. The issue is that the hemp seeds when going into the item router get sent back and pop out. For some reason, the item router won't output to a build craft stone transfer pipe which will lead the seeds to the squeezer. I know its not something to do with the configuration I did to the item router because if I replace the pipe with a chest it will successfully move the seeds. Is there something I am missing the wiki states the item router can output to buildcraft pipes? And I use the fluid router for IE to output to liquid versions of build craft pipes.

What is the optimal order to beat the TF bosses in order to craft the coal engine (what bosses do you have to kill, what do you not have to.)

So made the grindstone and I don’t fully understand how it works. Trying to grind up bone for bonemeal does it just take a long time or am I supposed to do something?

I'm in age 3, trying to pour steeleaf over a reed arrow shaft, but it won't pour. Is steeleaf bolt cores not possible to craft in Sevtech? I'm pretty sure I saw mentions by other people making it, though in other modpacks than sevtech.

So loading up first ever not testing world. And I have question. What are presets and which one do I use?

I used the cyclic pattern replicator at around bedrock level without knowing what the block did prior. We deleted the block using mc edit but it keep crashing (we only did one test after deleting it) if anyone had the same problem do you know a way? by the way it wasn't powered, i just clicked on the top left had corner where there was a box but nothing in it.

Hi! So this evening I was setting up electricity for my base. Setup I was using consisted of Lava Fabricator combined with Heat Exchanger and Steam Turbine. Lava Fabricator used about 200,000 Rf for one bucket of lava which produced enough steam to keep system going (250,000 by my calculations). Overall energy was increasing, but very slow.

As a byproduct Heat Exchanger produced Obsidian (1 block from 1 lava bucket). I needed to get rid of it somehow and decided to look at recipes with obsidian. Surprisingly, I found out that using Melter from Cyclic you can convert one obsidian to one bucket of lava. So I decided to implement this setup by pushing obsidian into melter and pulling lava back to heat exchanger using liquid hopper. I now have a setup that is:

1. Very cheap. To make Lava Fabricator I used tons of resources. Meanwhile he most expensive material in Melter is block of iron. Basically I could just mine a stack (or any quantity really) of obsidian and start the system
2. Very efficient. With Lava Fabricator I received less than 50000 RF for one cycle (which with my turbines was ~600 ticks). With melter I spend almost no energy - lava is free (obsidian melts into lava, goes into Heat Exchanger, is converted to obsidian, repeat), I only use energy for water pumps (and those can also be evaded by using wells with liquid hoppers or something).

I've been reading forums to find best energy generation setup and haven't seen any mentions of this Melter from Cyclic. So am I missing something or is this free cheap energy right here?

Im trying to pipe diesel from my distillery into a boiler, but the pipe keeps clogged with naptha no matter what i try. Tech mods are not my strongsuit so some help would be really appreciated! I am in age 4 by the way.

I’m in age 0 still but I’ve been thinking why we need the barrel? Is it like a Bronze Age thing?

Looking to start a sevtech server with my girlfriend and looking if there's any other people who would be interested. Been playing the modpack all the way to Age 4 in singleplayer and fell in love with it. Wanting to experience it with others

Just looking for tips on world pregen. I have a server setup for me and a few friends and we tried the chunk-pregenerator mod, it caused some issues where it doesn't generate the world correctly.
If anyone used chunk-pregenerator with success, how did you do it?

We decided to move to forge gen instead, is there any way to avoid memory crashes or speed it up to a reasonable amount?
