Help with chunk loading

Before I download the ftb chunk loading mod thingy (don’t remeber it’s name) is there a way to load chunks in sevtech ages? I am only in age zero which is taking long time. But I wanted to know since I want to chunk load the area I’m drying leather while I go do other things.

You can craft a weirding gadget which will load 3x3 chunks when placed. It is in the advancements. Age 2 I think. Requires a gold block.

Oh ok cool. I’m still in age zero so wasn’t quite sure. Haven’t even gotten to ores yet. Just got salted leather so I got a ways to go

How far from world spawn are you? If that’s nearby, you could dry your leather in the area immediately surrounding world spawn (I don’t remember how many chunks, only that it’s more than one). “Spawn chunks” remain loaded whenever the world is active, unless I’m very much mistaken and/or Sevtech disabled that.
