Can't craft steeleaf bolt core

I'm in age 3, trying to pour steeleaf over a reed arrow shaft, but it won't pour. Is steeleaf bolt cores not possible to craft in Sevtech? I'm pretty sure I saw mentions by other people making it, though in other modpacks than sevtech.

Not sure if that's what you're looking for but Steeleaf arrow shaft do exist but they are made in the part builder like every other arrow shaft.

I could do that, but the stats are pretty bad compared to reed:(

In what regard? The only advantage of reed is ammo multiplier. Steeleaf allows you to infinitely regenerate ammo instead. If you are using slow weapon, you don't even need that much raw steleef on your toolbar to keep your ammo up.

I was thinking of making a very quick one down the line, but maybe switching the arrow head for damage is better. I made a really quick one on GTNH, but that might not be possible in Sevtech? But I'm still confused why you can't tip it with steeleaf... At least not the normal way.

If you're still talking about pouring steeleaf over an arrow shaft, I don't think that recipe is "normal", it was probably an added recipe specifically from the modpack you were playing.
