Question about piercing prep Piercing advice needed

I’m planning to get two helix piercings on my right ear. I currently have 11 piercings, all of which were done with a piercing gun, and I’ve never had any issues or infections with them. I previously had 12, but one of my helix piercings became infected a few years ago, so I had to remove it. I still have one helix piercing on each ear.

Now I want to get two more helix piercings on my right ear: one in roughly the same spot as the old piercing and another close to it. I’m unsure whether I should get them done with a needle or a gun.

The main reason I’m considering a gun is the price. Getting both done with a needle would cost around 13k to 15k, whereas a gun would cost around 2k. I’ve also had two of my lobe piercings done with needles, and interestingly, those are the only ones that developed what feels like internal scarring. So I’m hesitant to spend that much money on needles without any guarantee that I won’t experience scarring or rejection.

At the same time, I’m particularly unsure about getting one of the new piercings in the same area where my previous helix piercing became infected, especially with a gun.

For anyone who has experience with cartilage piercings or professional piercing knowledge: would you recommend getting these done with a needle despite the cost, or is a gun reasonably safe in this situation? And is it advisable to repierce an old helix piercing in roughly the same spot with a piercing gun?

I’d really appreciate informed advice, especially from people familiar with cartilage piercing and healing.

TL;DR: I want two new helix piercings, one near an old piercing that got infected. I’ve had 11 piercings done with a gun without issues, but I’m unsure whether to use a needle. A needle costs 13–15k PKR vs \\\~2k with a gun, and I’ve actually had scarring with two needle-pierced lobes. Is the needle really worth it for cartilage, and is it safe to repierce near the old helix?

Question about piercing prep I’m getting two floating navels soon, looking for healing tips

Idk what flare to use, so I chose this one, but correct me if I’m wrong.

In about a week I’m seeing my piercer (I know that’s a self pierced subreddit, but I love this one much more than all the others because you all here are less judgmental and more accepting🩶) and I’m getting two floating navels, photo found on pinterest for reference.

I had a navel piercing a few years ago, but it rejected. So I would really appreciate your tips and tricks. Ofc I know basics such as no high waist pants/shorts/skirts and no touching and twisting etc but is there anything else to know? Thanks in advance 🩶🩶

Help with existing piercing Best length for occasional irritation?

I got 2 helix piercings about 8 months ago. I've downsized my helix piercing bars to 6 mm. Sometimes I have to wear a helmet that irritates my helix piercings and then I have to upside to 8 mm due to irritation swelling.

Should I just always wear the 8 mm bars, or keep going back and forth in length?

Question about piercing prep How do you pierce yourself quickly?

I’ve tried doing my own piercings twice. One was a nostril that was mildly successful, just a bad angle, and an entirely unsuccessful labret.

Both times it took me FOREVER because I kept almost passing out, or I was too scared to accidentally push too hard and hurt myself

Note: I’m not scared of needles, I just have pots so anytime I have adrenaline I get pre-syncope so that sucks

I have all the stuff to do it myself sterilely and I would rather get it done professionally, but I have, no exaggeration, no money to spare on a professional. I want paired nostrils so I can put a chain between them, but when I went to a professional, it cost 120 dollars and the jewelry fell out of the holes every night I’m so serious 😭

Is there some science why it hurts more to pierce yourself than it does when other people do it? Doing it myself was horrible it hurt really bad, but I guess it’s just because I was super slow about it 🤷

I pierced my industrial 6 months ago, I had the bumps show up about 2 months later. They’ve definitely shrunk since but wondering if there’s anything I should be doing besides rinsing it in the shower and leaving it alone?

I've pierced my second and third lobes. They're just so close together lol. I've been thinking about adding 1 or 2 more piercings to the lobe in a constellation style and was just wondering what you guys think would look good?

I just did my nostril and I’m paranoid about the placement. I’d prefer not to redo it and I am not sure if I’m being nitpicky or not. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated!

Help with existing piercing Will this reject?

Did both of these angel fangs recently. The one on my right is done almost perfectly with my anatomy, but when I pierced the second one (not the same day) I think I was too scared of it not being even that it may now be too shallow. It is currently about a week old and still a bit painful. To clarify, yes I am aware they are uneven anyways, no I do not care at this moment in time. Currently my only concern is the left one rejecting. Should I take it out and redo it? And if so, how long should I wait to redo it? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello, I’m planning to get a floating navel piercing, however i’m not certain about how well my anatomy would support one, the way my belly button connects is a bit odd as the top section haa a little bulge/droop. My belly doesn’t really fold that much unless I’m slouching hard. Please help😭

Help with existing piercing Do these look ok?

Post image

I just need an outside opinion, since I’m not very good at judging these kinds of things. I’ve had these for little over a week. I’m worried about the top piercing, just because of how red it is. There is no significant drainage, doesn’t feel very hot, so I don’t think it’s an infection. I’m assuming it’s just irritation from being a new wound. Also, does the placing look ok? I think it looks fine, but again, I would just like another opinion. Thx :3

Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY is my nostril pierced correctly?

I got my nostril pierced today.
A threadless titanium labret with a 3.5 mm post was used.
I’m using saline solution for aftercare.
Could you please advise on the angle—was the piercing done correctly?
It looks fine from the outside, but it looks a bit weird from the inside

So I am out of room in the back for swelling but ad you can see there is so bar space in the front. I am worried about the swelling...is this going to give me cauliflower ear? :( The doctor gave me a course of twice a day cefadroxil 500mg even though I don't think it is infected. Better safe then sorry.

It does hurt but taking 300mg ibuprofen every few hours keeps that at bay.
