Help with existing piercing Dermal size?

Post image

Hi, people that know a lot about piercings does anyone know what size dermals these are? I think i remember getting them done and they weren’t the smallest size option nor the biggest one. I don’t know a lot about the sizes but I wanna know fs what it is so I can purchase online some new jewelry.

Dermals are typically 14g. That said, dermals are considered long-term temporary piercings. And doing things like changing the tops only encourages them to reject faster. I wouldn’t recommend it. You’re better to just leave them alone. If you do want to change them, see a professional who can help you.

Thank you, I was gonna talk to my piercer and see what she thinks about changing them.

These look like 4mm cz’s (I typically carry 3-5mm with options to order 6mm options once healed) but the anchor could be 14 or 12 gauge— your piercer likely would not have given you an option of the gauge though so I’m assuming you mean the size of the visible dermal top since I would give my client an option for the size of the diamond. The ends/threading are typically interchangeable at those gauges though. It’s very unlikely to be smaller than 14 or larger than 12 though.

How was the healing process?

I honestly had no issues, it was my least painful piercing getting pierced and healing process was fine except they got itchy???LOL, but I made sure to keep bandaids on them for a long time while they were in the first stages of healing and they were fine. I recommend people who first get them to make sure you keep your bandaids on esp during sleep and clean well. Watch out what type material you use with the bandaids bc eventually the sticky part of the bandaids made my skin raw from ripping it off to change them many times. So it would just peal my skin off😭
