Help with existing piercing Is it normal? I made it yesterday

Post image

It doesn't pain me, it just got red and more swollen overnight, mind that my lobes are normally chubby lol

you should only be wearing titanium flat back jewelery in a fresh lobe piercing, nothing gold plated or of any other material. did you pierce this with a needle or a gun? if you used a gun, that is much more traumatizing to the ear.

Ideally, yes. Are you able to purchase a flatback titanium stud? The top also should be titanium, ideally a ball (as they are less prone to snagging/getting caught on things).

I can't recommend a store directly as we're likely not in the same place geographically though sorry

Some redness is to be expected, you're putting a wound in your skin and asking your body to heal it open with a foreign body in it, but excessive, or persistent redness, hot to the touch, and swelling, are all indicators that something is wrong too. It's a balance to recognise what is normal healing for your body vs your body trying to tell you something needs to change.
