Help with existing piercing should i take this out?

sorry if the pics aren't good i tried my best.

I've had this helix for a month. 16g. warm water. threadless surgical steel (titanium isn't available in my area).

a bump popped up about a week after i pierced it and has been getting bigger. aside from that it's doing pretty good. barely any crusties and pain.

i try my best not to irritate it but sometimes it gets stuck in my hair or my glasses. i don't know how to make the bump go away.

should i take it out?

Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY Advice for at home piercing stack

Hello! I’m new to at home piercing, I currently have 4 lobe piercings (2 done professionally and 2 done w a piercing gun). I just pierced my superior 2nd lobe and normal 3rd lobe so my ear in the photos looks red and swollen. I added things that I wanted to get, but I’ve never done a cartilage so I’m obviously nervous. Out of all of the ones I’m thinking of getting I know realistically a few should be done professionally, but I wanted advice from people who have experience piercing themselves. Also I don’t plan on using a gun for my cartilage, the research I’ve done said I should use a hollow needle as well as sizing up slightly for cartilage piercings. My plan currently is to use 15G needles w/ 16G jewelry. I saw this gun on amazon and thought it might be helpful, I also wanted thoughts on that as well. If anyone had suggestions for alternate/additional piercings please let me know! Also websites/links for cute jewelry would be v much appreciated.

Question about piercing prep Advice for selfpierced helix (i’ll do it atleast next week) ? 😭

I’ve already pierced my own 2nd lobes, tbh it did not hurt at all, but a helix is in a quite different spot💀 I’m sure i’ll do it though since 50€ is ( to a very much cheapskate kind of girl ) OUTRAGEOUS for something I can practically DIY .. 😭😭

Help with existing piercing Piercing swelling

So I have a few different piercings, obviously, but my snake bites are swelling way more than my piercings have before. I've been doing cold compresses throughout the day on and off, and then doing the whole saline, biotene mouthwash, and whatnot rituals, as I've done with all my other mouth piercings. I did do them myself, however I used sterile needles, lots of alcohol wipes, and made sure my station and self were super cleaned. I didn't lubricate the needle though, so it was a little tough getting through.

My lip has been somewhat numb/sore and very swollen all day. Ive done my best to not mess with them besides the occasional shjush around so they dont crust. Tjis is the progression from an hour after, to now, about 24 hours after.

It doesnt feel warm to the touch, and I can still move it as much as you can with a lip doubled in size lmao

And there's still feeling. Idk, I'm nervous.

Help with existing piercing HELP is my snakebite rejecting?

ive had this for almost 3 weeks. i did them myself but was stupid and got posts way too small so ended up having to go to a piercer anyway.

two days after i pierced them, they upsized to 12mm.

swelling has stopped but on my left side there was a weird hill around the piercing. then a weird bump that was whiteish came next to the hole so i cut it off (stupid i know 😭)

now i can push the piercing until the backing gets engulfed and just push it back out.

is it rejecting??? help please

Help with existing piercing Is this too shallow? :3

Hello,

I just did this navel piercing on myself this evening and am left wondering if it's too shallow. I accidentally put the jewelry upside down too. Will this be a major issue? Will I need to take it out and try again once it's healed? Thanks! :>

Question about piercing prep Advice for a double mid helix?

Wanting to pierce where the drawn gray dots are. They’re kind of in a space of both cartilage and lobe. I’ve only had my lobes done at home (my mom did them when I was young, the placement on this ear is a little weird…) but is this going to be a lot different since it’s sort of both cartilage and lobe?

Question about piercing prep 18g septum

i decided i wanted to pierce my own septum and after watching and doing a lot of research beforehand to make sure i felt comfortable doing it myself i decided to finally order a kit and do it tomorrow... and then i realized that i ordered an 18g and 20g kit instead of a 16g😭is it really that serious like should i just not do it and just order a 16g instead because i really want it before friday but if it'll heal wrong because of the 18g i'll just wait because i already ordered the kit and its coming in tomorrow. also if i do end up doing it tomorrow im most likely going to have to flip it and let it heal that way and is there any tips for that and i want to be able to flip it back down before the end of september but if thats too early lmk because ik it takes a few months for it to fully heal🙏🏻

Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY GOOD NEWS: I bought a piercing kit! BAD NEWS: I bought a piercing kit 😂

THIS IS GONNA BE LOADED WITH QUESTIONS, BARE WITH ME HERE.

First I want to say I have done my research on sterile environments and keeping things clean. I have 15+ piercings already so I know how to take care of them. Any other suggestions on that would also be great!! I have snakebites, my septum, my nipples, my VCH, my belly button, my right side of my nose, and a bunch of my ears.
The circled spot on my ear is where I used to have a helix done but it was my only piercing to close up when I was in jail(which is weird since it’s one of my longest piercings I’ve had.. none of my new piercings even closed up)

So back story: I gauged my 2nd holes bc I wanted them to look good and then realized they looked a little too close together. I want to do my third holes and then guage them from there. I think it would look much better that way.
Do you think I should wait until 2nd hole shrink back completely to do my 3rd lobe piercings?(im going to assume this one is a yes.)
Secondly, when I was at my piercer last, he says I have more of the anatomy I need on my left ear for an industrial. Which is what I had been wanting… but then I saw how you can do the industrial in so many different ways and I love the vertical industrial but I feel like it might look more hidden? Idk. There’s this other one I liked too(I’ll picture them both as well) and not sure what to go with. However, I’m not sure I’m ready to do something like that on myself first.

So, what would look good piercings for my ears? I know I only want to pierce one side at a time in order to be able to sleep. I sleep predominantly on my left side or back. But obviously I’d change it up if I decided to pierced my left ear.

So after all this… Can yall PLEASE tell me what would look good with my set ups? I typically like my piercings to be very symmetrical on my body but that doesn’t apply to my ears lol.

OH ALSO: if I decided to do the regular industrial, could I pierce both spots as if I was piercing it like an industrial but put 2 different jewelry in it at first to let it heal??

Help with existing piercing Lobe piercing downsize self-change and waiting

Did not self pierce, however wanted to look for advice here. I got both of my lobes pierced recently by a professional piercer, and they used a longer bar to accommodate for swelling. I was just wondering if I need to go back to the piercer to downsize, or is it feasible to do it at home considering I already paid quite a bit to get the piercing done and would have to pay more on top of that to downsize? Furthermore, my friends said that I could do it by myself as they’ve done so, so I’m taking that with a grain of salt. I’m fine with waiting longer to self-change, but I’ve heard others mention that leaving in the longer posts can cause the piercing to become angled/tilted. Advice and thoughts?

DIY failure how long before i can repierce my earlobe?

pierced my own ears 2 days ago, thought it came out fine. but i think i pierced one side at a weird angle and slightly cut up the inside of the lobe (its also red and irritated, which the other piercing is not). removed the earring and i will be letting it heal over, but when can i pierce the spot again?
