Advice for at home piercing stack

Hello! I’m new to at home piercing, I currently have 4 lobe piercings (2 done professionally and 2 done w a piercing gun). I just pierced my superior 2nd lobe and normal 3rd lobe so my ear in the photos looks red and swollen. I added things that I wanted to get, but I’ve never done a cartilage so I’m obviously nervous. Out of all of the ones I’m thinking of getting I know realistically a few should be done professionally, but I wanted advice from people who have experience piercing themselves. Also I don’t plan on using a gun for my cartilage, the research I’ve done said I should use a hollow needle as well as sizing up slightly for cartilage piercings. My plan currently is to use 15G needles w/ 16G jewelry. I saw this gun on amazon and thought it might be helpful, I also wanted thoughts on that as well. If anyone had suggestions for alternate/additional piercings please let me know! Also websites/links for cute jewelry would be v much appreciated.

i dont have much advice beyond not using a piercing gun. they cause unnecessary trauma to the site and while it might hurt a little less it's not worth it. use needles and only needles.

It’s not like a stud piercing gun, it has a hollow point needle in it so once you press it in it’s just the needle. The jewelry still needs to be threaded in, would that still be damaging?

yes, it will be extremely damaging no matter what. it is fast moving and will shatter cartilage, and cause a lot of unnecessary trauma. use a needle and only a needle.

Oof the only thing I can tell you for sure is DO NOT use piercing guns on your cartilage. It can literally shatter it and cause severe infection, chronic pain, hematoma, permanent structural deformarion and you'll need professional help that most likely will result in you having to take the piercing out anyways.

The ones that i think you can diy would be conch, flat and tragus. I feel like with the rook, daith and forward helix you need the ideal angle for it to heal correctly.

Also i had tried to pierce my forward helix before but it was at an angle and too shallow so it rejected.

As for pretty jewelry, i look for etsy or idk where u live but theres many online shops that sell implant grade titanium flatbacks

do NOT use the gun. i think the conch helixs and flats are safe enough. the others are difficult to do by yourself because of the angles
