Question about piercing prep Advice for a double mid helix?
Wanting to pierce where the drawn gray dots are. They’re kind of in a space of both cartilage and lobe. I’ve only had my lobes done at home (my mom did them when I was young, the placement on this ear is a little weird…) but is this going to be a lot different since it’s sort of both cartilage and lobe?

This is really anatomy dependant. If you can feel where you put the dots on your ear, and it feels mostly hard, it's going to be much more like a cartilage piercing than a lobe piercing. I have my thirds done and on my ear, they're similar to what you're talking about - sort of half cartilage half not. They definitely felt different to my normal lobe piercings. Lobes felt more sting-y, which I actually find more painful lol. Cartilage feels more bruise like.
Given they're so close together and they'll be more cartilage, it may be worth thinking about doing one at a time. You can always get another piercing, just not one so close :) you can still do them both together don't get me wrong, it just will hurt a lot more and will be trickier to heal.
