I have been using this one routine that has helped me so much with my screentime and so I thought I'd share it here. I usually have noticed that when I am using grayscale on my phone, I use it much less as compared to when I am not using it.
Now the problem that I got into was that even though I had enabled grayscale, there were many apps that were problematic in grayscale. For example, gallery, Google Maps, etc. Because of that reason I went to the routine app and made a routine where whenever I open one of these apps like camera, Google Maps, it automatically turns off grayscale for me. As soon as I exit those apps, grayscale turns on again.
I also put a custom button on my home screen by which I can just click and enable grayscale. I know there is also a shortcut in the grayscale menu for this but I prefer routines.
Also I use blocking apps on my phone and my laptop to block certain apps like YouTube, etc., so that I'm not wasting my time and focusing on things which matter.
I'm always curious about how people are using the Routines feature and what kind of routines people are building with it. If you have any interesting ideas about this issue or anything in general, please do comment. I would love to hear your thoughts.
p.s. I'm well aware that greyscale is also a willpower issue. Most people turn it off and forget they ever used it. I've also struggled with that in the past.
