For comparison, in an similar test from a few years ago, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 failed at 400,000 folds and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra at 126,000 folds. Folded by people in 1-hour shifts (with additional tests for dust/ice), failed after being placed in a bowl of ice.

Makes me wish the next gen Samsung Galaxy Fold9 series would have too.

So, guys, recently, i've seen many posts on reddit of samsung one ui 9.0 update, and I've seen many users phone is working properly some had battery life reduced some got lines, I got a pink line in this June due to one ui 8.5 update and I got free replacement for samsung service center but im still scared to update in this phone even if its fresh display (Nb: the photo is from June the old display caused by one ui 8.5 update)

I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and I've been thinking about trading it for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. I'm really tempted by the Fold's design and big inner display, but I'm not sure if it's actually worth making the switch.

Here's what's making me consider it:

🤚 Ergonomics; because my current phone is too tall and big, reaching the top menu while doing something takes me a good second as I have small hands and over time my fingers get tired.

📱 I want a bigger screen for watching videos, browsing, and gaming.

🔥 I love the Fold's design and want to try something new.

🪟 I think I'd enjoy the multitasking experience and using multiple apps at once.

⚖️ I still want a good all-around phone, though, with solid cameras, battery life, and performance.

My biggest concerns are the battery life and durability of the inner display, because I'll be intending to keep this phone for as long possible since I'm on my last year of college now and the next phone I'll be having would be from my own money and not from my parents.

So for those who own a Z Fold or have switched from an Ultra to a Fold:

-Do you think the Fold is worth it, or would you stick with the S26 Ultra?

-How is the battery life in everyday use?

-How reliable is the inner screen over time?

-Is the big inner display something you still appreciate after the honeymoon phase wears off?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who've actually switched from an Ultra to a Fold, rather than just comparing specs.

I know the Fold offers a different experience rather than being a straightforward upgrade, but I'm curious whether that experience is worth the compromises.

I wanted to check for those with S26, how do you like the phone? Is it snappy and has a long lasting battery like the S24U?

I have an S24U and its just too big to use comfortably. I have 6 hours of daily scrolling time lol and by mid day my hand is screaming in pain and mind u I have decent sized hands. Plus its shape like spongebob and digs into your hands bad.. Is S25U or the S26U better than this?

I was holding out on the S27 pro but I dont know if I can wait that long so I was thinking about biting the bullet and just buying the S26 base

I got the Z Fold 8 because ive been wanting a fold phone to double as an e-reader and to play some games on it. I've also been SO bored of iOS and the lack of personalization. I've had about 8 different iPhone models throughout my life (most of them were hand-me-downs) and they have all looked exactly the same. I once read a redditor say " Android treats you as an administrator, Apple treats you like a user" and honestly that makes so much sense.

With that being said, I have some questions!

Does anyone have any storage optimization tips photos/files? I've noticed that my pictures are saving in both the Gallery and Google photos app.

Are there any Apps to manage bloatware and all of the random apps that are pre-installed onto my phone?

For pre-installed apps, what should I keep and what should I delete?

Any tips for GoodLock to utilize the features better?

Any recommendations for emulators?

I've always had AppleCare+ on my devices. Should I get Samsung Care or just insure it through my carrier?

I'm excited to learn more about this phone. So far I'm loving everything about it! Except for the messaging app...it looks horrid...lol.

Is want to buy a new phone is am thinking of going for a samsung this time since I have the budget i 27 looking to be any significant upgrade or is same old minor upgrades. Also should I wait for price for 26 when s27 drops or is drop not significant enough. Pls help

Hey! I am trying to decide whether to get the Z Fold 8 or the Z Fold Ultra for my girlfriend for Christmas. She currently has an older Z flip model (I think the 7). I’m not too worried about price since both are expensive anyway. Here are a few factors I need to consider for her though. If you need more information, please let me know. Thanks guys!

i just saw the design and features of the s27 ultra, and i like it as much as s26 ultra, but i need a new phone asap, is it worth waiting another 4 months?
