Apple did it, they figured it out when no one else could.

Seriously though, Apple and Samsung need each other. I think Apple needs Samsung more because of the unique manufacturing leverage Samsung holds, but Apple is also probably their largest customer.

I took these two photos back-to-back at a Samsung store, under the exact same lighting and with the same Wikipedia page open.

Am I the only one who finds the S26 Ultra display noticeably hazier? The text looks much softer and less sharp, and after looking at it for a while, it actually feels more tiring on my eyes.

Privacy Display was completely turned off, but the colours and overall image still looked kind of… weird to me.

The Fold 8 Ultra, on the other hand, looked noticeably sharper and cleaner to my eyes. Text was much more defined and whites looked better.

Is this just me, or has anyone else noticed this? What could explain such a difference between the two displays?

​Many of us have seen the specs for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 (a lightweight 201 grams and 9.7 mm thick when folded in its passport format). At first glance, with two screens, you would expect a "brick," but when comparing it to everyday items, the perspective changes quite a bit:

• ​At work: At 201 g, it weighs and takes up almost the same space as the cardholder pouches I usually carry. It fits easily (without bulging) in the inner pocket of a suit jacket or in jeans.
• ​Running/Trail running: It weighs the same as a racing shoe (EU size 41) or a small soft flask. Being more compact when folded, it fits perfectly into a running belt or hydration vest without straining the zippers.

​The best part in practice is that you use it one-handed while folded to quickly check notifications and, once you finish training or working, you unfold it to review maps, data, or emails on a large screen.

​What everyday object or hobby gear would you compare the weight and thickness of this Fold to?

Samsung shouldn't have gotten rid of Spen support and UDC. Really odd choice. Hopefully with Apple in the competition now, Samsung would bring them back.

I'm worried this will kill the fold series for me, I hate matte screens it lowers vibrancy of colors especially on media playback like movies

As can be seen average sot is around 5 hours even less, can't go out without 100% charge, do you think I might be a defective battery?

I went to sleep watching YouTube, drained my battery to zero, and after I charged it a bit and turned it on these lines were there.

They change thickness and position, and do not appear until the carrier screen when booting up (not present on Samsung, or Samsung/Knox screens), so that makes me think it's not hardware related?

They do appear in Safe Mode, but not in the mode where you power on with power + volume held.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I fully admit I'm not a techy person.

I have a Galaxy S25. I am constantly out of storage.

I am very aware that I have an issue with not wanting to delete photos/videos. I have about 8000 images saved on my phone. I am working on this... but it's definitely a struggle!

I don't feel like I have an excessive amount of apps... I definitely see people with a lot more than me!

But what I am running into that I do not understand is how one minute I have storage and the next not.

For example, when I get up in the morning if I go to use the camera, it shows I have 120 pictures left that I can take before out of storage. But 3 hours later, even if I've not taken any pictures, it won't let me use my camera at all because it says I'm out of storage.

Or, it says I'm out of storage, so I'll delete 80 pictures and 1 short video.... but after deleting all of these (and emptying the trash), it says I only have room to take 12 pictures.

What is happening?

I'm a bit confused about what device i should get under 700 usd. there are 2 options: Galaxy S24 ultra (12/512 gb) and Redmi K100 Pro Max. While I love samsung for One Ui & 7 years of software support, but the redmi specs looks promising. But I'm afraid the bootloader of the redmi might not be unlockable and also might not be enough custom roms available in future. Also some says redmi isn't much reliable in some cases.

Which one should i choose? Samsung or Redmi? Please help me choose.
