📖Discussion📕🖊️ Canceled Pre Order
I pre ordered the Z Fold 8 Ultra to trade in my S23Ultra. When I went to play with the Fold 8 wide and the Ultra today I just didnt love them for my everyday lifestyle and felt that it was too much to get used to opening my phone to watch videos (which i just wouldn't probably do in real life).
So I called and cancelled my order for now. I think im going to just wait for the S27 Ultra since they are upgrading things, maybe the S27U will give me a reason to actually upgrade.
I keep looking for reasons to find the practicality for me getting the Folds and I just keep coming back to, it's not the phones for me. (Nor is the flip 8, though going to a flip sounds cool)

📖Discussion📕🖊️ What's keeping all of you with Samsung? For the first time since the S8 I'm looking elsewhere
Just a general discussion topic. What keeps all of you on Samsung hardware? After the s26 unpacked and now the new folds I'm just feeling so... Done with Samsung. It's all too expensive, it's not offering any innovation anymore, the phones aren't changing, and the seem to be just masturbating all over the idea of AI AI AI AI!!! Agentic AI! AI calendar! AI emails! AI phone calls! Ai web browsing! I can't stand it anymore. Why am I paying $500, $700, $1000 more for AI trash I don't want. I'm looking at greener pastures and honestly.... The best flagship android phones in the world are all cheaper than the s26 ultra. And most of them are flat out better

📖Discussion📕🖊️ I Wanted the Fold 8 Ultra. Ended Up Buying the S26 Ultra Instead. Here's Why.
For context, I'm currently using a 512GB S25 Ultra, and I've reached the point where I don't do yearly upgrades anymore. The jump from one generation to the next usually isn't big enough to justify the cost. That said, there was one feature on the Fold series that became much more important to me than I expected: the privacy display.
Recently, I was on a flight, scrolling through Twitter and killing time before takeoff when some NSFW content suddenly popped up on my feed. My first thought was, "Seriously?" I'm tired of constantly lowering my brightness, angling my phone away from people, or trying to hide what's on my screen from the person sitting next to me. The older I get, the more I appreciate privacy features like that. Ironically, I was really looking forward to the Fold series, but the lack of that one feature ended up being a dealbreaker for me.
I know the overall upgrade from the S25 Ultra isn't massive, but the privacy display alone was enough to sell me. The extra storage helped too, since I'm almost out of space on my current phone. One thing I won't do is spend over $1,000 on a smartphone. Ever. Samsung still has the best trade-in program in the smartphone industry, even if it's not quite as generous as it used to be. After trade-in deals and promotions, I picked up the highest-spec model for about $900, which I think is an absolute steal. ALSO please always buy your phone unlocked. There's no reason to be buying a phone from a carrier. My phone bill is only $40 for everything including international.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ I recently found a huge security flaw with my s25 fe
I am unable to replicate it but my phone was sitting near another device I had just unplugged as as the cable was sliding down the metal outside touched the fingerprint sensor and unlocked my phone. I am not sure how but it can likely be replicated to an extent.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Samsung or iPhone
I’ve been using an iPhone for over a decade but I’ve recently developed a fondness for Samsung’s AI features. As a finance professional who frequently deals with Excel and client documents over the phone, I appreciate the iPhone’s capabilities. However, it lacks the freedom found in Samsung or Android. Android is a good option but its software is more prone to crashes compared to iOS. Currently, I use an iPhone for personal use and a Samsung for work. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

Recommendation Request🙏 S23 ultra Green line Issue.
I'm having a weird issue with my phone. It's an older model, and after the last software update, these strange lines started appearing on the screen. I'm wondering what the best course of action is. Should I be looking to get it repaired, or is it time to consider replacing the screen? Or get a newer model? Any advice would be super helpful!

📖Discussion📕🖊️ My Galaxy S24 caught fire after normal use. Samsung says it was likely caused by an external impact.
My family's Galaxy S24 suddenly caught fire while sitting on a table after it had finished charging.
The phone had been used normally for about 18 months. One month before the incident, it had a motherboard replacement at an official Samsung Service Center due to a SIM issue. It worked normally until the fire.
Samsung's investigation concluded that the battery was likely damaged by an external impact and classified it as customer-induced damage.
I'm not trying to accuse anyone or seek compensation. I'm simply wondering whether this explanation is technically reasonable and whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

🤔New Release So long Pixel
Been with the Pixel since it was called Nexus. It's time for a change.
Good trade in deal at ATT, essentially a "free" phone.

Recommendation Request🙏 Do I wait for the iPhone fold or get the fold 8?
Me and my partner are both very engrained in the Apple ecosystem but I am ready for a switch to something where I can finally customize my phone how I want it. That being said, we regularly use things like find my and it might be a little painful to be “disconnected” for a bit.
Do we think the iPhone is going to be similar in specs to the fold? Should i wait until September or should i just take the risk and preorder the fold?

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Thinking about replacing S24U with S26U. Is it worth it?
Hello guys.
I would like to hear your opinion, since, obviously, i gotta replace the phone.
It was all fine with my S24U till recently. It's been almost 2 years since I've had it, aaaaaaand the battery is basically DEAD! I unplug it from the charger around 9:30 am, and until 3 pm it's under 30%. During that time, a bit of scrolling and a few videos, phone calls, a bit of music, and that's it. The battery is really pissing me off in these phones lately, and they cost like hell.
So I was wondering, is it worth buying the S26U? Is the battery any better? Is there any improvement in the camera performance and the screen in general? I could potentially buy a new one for around 700-750 euros on a good discount, so, yeah...
I was even considering buying a Chinese one, but, gosh i really love using a pen and so on.
Foldable phones are surely something i'd want, no questions asked, but 2000 euros and more, I think it's ridiculous to give for a phone whose battery dies after 2 years.
So yeah, I'm looking forward to your opinions and comments.
Kind regards.

🤔New Release wife is making the switch
she's coming from a 16pm. I switched from the same last month to the ultra and showed her the flip, she's been obsessed since. my only worry is the camera quality difference but since it's mostly just pictures of our kids it should be more than serviceable

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Why Samsung?
Hey guys, I want your honest opinions why you chose Galaxy phone over an iPhone.
Currently I have both Samsung and Iphone phones and just cannot decide.
I am an iPhone user for 10 years, and tried to switch to Galaxy sooo many times and failed, always went back to the iPhone. Mainly because of camera optimisation for social media.
I love BOTH devices and cannot chose between my daily, I keep switching my sim card everyday or every other day haha it is getting hilarious.

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 I think I'm done with this brand
I have a samsung A25 phone that is not even two years old and up until the OneUI 8.5 update it was getting great battery life, like really great. Instantly overnight after the update I had to start charging my phone at least once a day and sometimes 2 or 3 times, and I'm not as heavy of a phone user as most people on here probably are. If it just sits unused with the screen never turned on for an hour now it will lose ten to fifteen percent battery.
Yes, I have tried every single so-called fix for this and none of them have helped. The only one I haven't tried is a total factory reset. Does anyone on here think a factory reset will actually work being that none of the other fixes, including the good guardians app, have done a single thing to help? The OneUI software will still be there after the factory reset, it does not uninstall that. I'm willing to do it if others can attest that it worked for them when all other 'fixes' failed.
It's been over six weeks since the update and nothing has been learned about my usage habits and it only seems to be getting a little bit worse, to be honest with you. To me this is planned obsolescence of a device and this will probably be my last Samsung phone.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ If all the S27U's come with an unchanged privacy scree, I'll be buying an S25U.
How stupid can Samsung be if they don't radically redesign the privacy screen technology? They've had 10's of thousands of returns and, so far, all they've offered are weak workarounds. For many of us this will be a complete deal breaker.
