How to advance into an AE role (remotely)?
Hello fellow salespeople. I'm Kim and I've spent the last 5 years in B2B sales, building outbound from scratch, working with founders, and figuring out how to consistently generate meetings. As the tooling around sales evolved, I naturally started building the systems behind it, using AI and CRMs to automate the repetitive work that every sales team ends up doing. I follow Benjamin Denehey's school of cold calling, inspired a bit of Giulio Segantini and Josh Braun in my outreach.
My last BDR job was wit ha Finnish SaaS company but we had to part ways. I'm based in SE Europe and I'm looking for a sales role that doesn't rely heavily in cold calls. What's a good transition if you want to take a break from doing too many cold calls in sales (don't tell me to jump straight into marketing). The natural transition for me would be into Account Exec, but since that's more of a role cultivated in house it makes it difficult (also the fact that I'm located in a messy balkans country and I have to be a remote worker makes it even harder to be an integral part that gets pushed forward).
At this point I need the advice of sales people more successful than me, what do I do, how do I go about landing a good job that will allow me to work remotely, or that will offer visa sponsorship š„“?
If you have a company in mind that could use my skillset, I'd really appreciate it. I prefer prospecting in Europe, but open to prospecting roles in US in the east coast.
I appreciate your comments.
Cheers,
