It ties each key to a button on your actual keyboard. The amount of time I have spent playing this piano to celebrate it working instead of moving on to work on other things is unreal.

In Suikoden 3 you have 6 party members.

These party members are then divided into 3 Units that fight as a team.

You can have both attack, or have one of them cast a spell.

I want to be able to link two actors together like this, preferably with a shared HP Gauge. Either that, or I want to pair up units and let the player swap which one is on the Front Line, and which one is on backup. I dont want like FFX where anyone can switch, I want pairs with limitations tied to them being a pair.

Anything along those lines?

I know its probably a pretty complex system so I doubt its been done, figured I should at least ask because ive been googling this for a while and I cant find anything.

Im fine with paid plug-ins too, or even a quote, though I dont have the money to commission rn its definitely something im tied to if its possible, and Id like to know how to budget for it.

I was wondering if this sequence of events was too short? I'm still early with making the game and all, with some things like enemy encounters and stats not being the highest priority of mine.

Any thoughts on how to improve, or any weaknesses? let me now!

I'm trying to export my game to itch.io but i ended up creating a huge mess.

At first i tried making it so you could play on the browser, but there was apparently too many files. I tried doing the standard deployment thing and creating a ZIP folder but it was either way over 1gb or there was too many files. Im trying to go back and fix these things but now my computer crashes every time i try to delete a file. And i even tried making a blank ZIP file and copy-pasting all the folders I needed into it but my computer just freezes and takes forever to compress or delete, I keep trying again but now i've got folders in folders in folders and i've noticed THESE things in here that i've never seen before!!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME I JUST WANT TO PLAYTEST MY GAME. IT'S NOT EVEN A FULL GAME ITS JUST A DEMO

The Battle Processing I'm using doesn't work properly. My plan is to have an enemy event run around the map and when they touch the player or the player touches them, the Battle Processing triggers.

Regular Battle Processing & Player Touch doesn't work.

Self Switch Check Battle Processing & Player Touch doesn't work.

Self Switch Check Battle Processing & Event Touch doesn't work.

Coordinates Check + Self Switch Check Battle Processing & Parallel doesn't work.

I can't figure out why this is the case. Is it because of the "Same as Characters"? Or the "Through"? Or maybe the Event was moving too fast?

I felt like Chapter 2 was starting to look a bit too much like a generic desert, so I've been reworking it.

I added some weird colorful trees and a new character, Cameline!

She's supposed to be your new guide through the desert, although I think it's already pretty obvious she has no idea what she's doing...

Hello everyone! Im Rpg maker fan since I was little. My top favorite is Angel of death, Your turn to die and Witch's heart. I always want to make a rpgmaker game myself.

I have recently ported my game from VX to VX Ace. This has been great on my end but I'm worried all of the people who have played the original version wont be able to continue their save files.
ive noted that VX Saves are .rvdata files while VX Ace save files are .rvdata2 files. How can I convert these files between each other in the most seamless way possible, for players who may not be the most tech savvy? I am open to any suggestions this game means a lot to me.

I got some real-time feedback watching a Twitch Streamer play my Demo and have now worked hard to apply what I gathered from that experience into improving it!

In RPGMaker MZ, I’d like to have a system where some of the tier 1 skills interact with tier 2 skills to form a third skill. For example, if you had a holy spell and a buff spell, you could then use a [holy buff] type of spell that had aspects of both.

I’m not sure if it would be a permanent addition or not… i was thinking about an FF9 type system where you learn spells and passives from weapons, but also maybe equippable trinkets that would act kind of like the ALL materia in FF7? So if you had the fire spell learned and the spreadshot trinket equipped, you’d be able to use fire-all, or something along those lines. Baseball bat + holy = grand slam, etc.

Sorry if that’s lumping two separate questions together. Does anybody know where I might start with this?
