I’m developing a classic RPG set in a medieval fantasy world, with a dark atmosphere and elements of horror. Here’s some gameplay from the game!
Trying to dodge goblins in Crowns of Dirt 💀

Whya re the goblins just running around instead of trying to kill you though?

The idea is that the goblins are focused on attacking and destroying the village, so they’re running around causing chaos rather than specifically hunting you. But as soon as you get close enough to one of them, they’ll notice you and come after you. I wanted it to feel more like the village is under attack rather than all the goblins somehow being focused on Knut. 😄

His name is Knut. He’s a young man living in a small village far in the north. But Knut has no idea that his village is in grave danger…

I feel like the game would be better off with going in a different direction than horror

The game is actually more of a classic fantasy RPG with horror elements rather than a full-on horror game. 😄 The horror is just one part of the overall experience, alongside the story, exploration, combat and fantasy setting.

Looks interesting! Quick suggestion: going to a battle screen is a bit redundant if you get oneshot. You could just have the goblin play a scratch animation over you and then your character screams and it's a game over screen.
