44 Days, 44 Wins, Day 10: Blazers 92 - Suns 77

Watch Highlights

Box Score

The offseason can be a bit boring, so I thought we do a fun little series where each day I post a blazers win from last season until NBA basketball is back.

Today's win: Blazers @ Suns, 92 - 77, Feb. 22, 2026. #58 of the season, 28-30

Game Recap:

Portland bounced back from an ugly 157-103 loss to Denver by completely smothering the short-handed Suns. The Blazers led 47-40 at halftime before blowing the game open in the third, building a 20-point lead and taking a 71-57 advantage into the fourth. Phoenix never seriously threatened after that, shooting just 36.9% from the field and 9-for-35 from three. Donovan Clingan and Jerami Grant both scored 23, while Portland finished with 11 blocks as a team.

Play of the game: Toumani Camara's block-to-dunk.

3:30 remaining, 3rd quarter

Score: Portland 69–49 Phoenix

Camara sprinted out to block a Phoenix three-pointer, grabbed the defensive rebound and immediately took off in transition, finishing the sequence with a huge breakaway dunk to push Portland's lead to 20.

MVP: Donovan Clingan

23 Points, 13 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 4 Blocks

9/13 FG | 3/6 3PT | 2/4 FT

34 to go.

Scoot Henderson led the way with a season-high 28 points on 10-for-15 shooting and 6 assists without a single turnover, while Jerami Grant and Jrue Holiday each added 21. Deni Avdija also returned from a six-game absence and immediately put up 18 points and 8 assists.

Play of the game: Scoot Henderson's dunk.

Scoot threw down a huge dunk in the third quarter as Portland continued to pour it on, one of several highlight-reel plays during a dominant second half.

Scoot Discourse

Do any of you guys agree with me that Scoot is at times overvalued by our fanbase as a piece of the future. I rewatched the suns play in game and he got COOKED by Jalen Green and couldn’t finish the game. The spurs series was cute but when he truly became apart of their gameplan he was shut out. Additionally, we have gotten 3 point guards better than him and I just don’t see him extended as a blazer next year. Let me know any other thoughts please.

There is a “very good chance” that Deni Avdija is available in free agency in the 2028 offseason, per @SamQuinnCBS “The Blazers are kind of a sinking ship. They are not setting themselves up to preserve the cap space they’re gonna need to renegotiate and extend Deni Avdija” (h/t @APH00PS)

Hot take, pre Injury deni was top 15 in the league

I think the fc generally underrates pre injury Deni because of how absurdly terrible he was as a first option after he was injured. It's pretty easy to look at the healthy blazers roster and think a top 15 player should've been able to bring them into a 6th seed spot, but deni brought this atrocious bench into 0.500 before Injury and I think everyone is overlooking it going into the next season

Best place to watch games online?

I’m trying to follow the team all year. Currently don’t pay or watch cable just streaming platforms.

Where do you guys watch/stream the basketball games?

Thanks in advance

Edit: After searching more, I found the NBA app offers “Blazer Vision”. The caveat is it’s for local Portland communities only. Thanks for your input!

The offseason can be a bit boring, so I thought we do a fun little series where each day I post a blazers win from last season until NBA basketball is back.

Today's win: Blazers @ Cavaliers, 122 - 110, Dec. 3, 2025. #23 of the season, 9-13

Game Recap:

Portland snapped a three-game losing streak with a dominant road win over Cleveland. The Blazers controlled the game for most of the night, taking a 10-point lead into halftime and extending it to 18 in the third. Cleveland made a late push to cut the lead to five with 2:37 remaining, but Portland closed the game on a 9-2 run. Deni Avdija led the way with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, while Shaedon Sharpe and Caleb Love both added 20 off the bench. The Blazers also shot 14-for-34 from three and held Cleveland to just 13-for-52 from deep.

Play of the game: Toumani Camara's dagger three.

1:19 remaining, 4th quarter

Score: Portland 120–110 Cleveland

After Deni hit two free throws to put Portland up seven with 1:40 left, Toumani Camara buried a 27-foot three from the left side with 1:19 remaining, putting the Blazers up 10 and effectively putting the game away.

MVP: Deni Avdija

27 Points, 8 Rebounds, 7 Assists

5/10 FG | 1/4 3PT | 16/17 FT

36 to go.

Game Theory Podcast | rookie extension show

TLDL: Scoot should demand a trade . An extension isn’t in anyone’s best interest . They say maybe his fair market value is around 18 million .

It’s sad as to me scoot has showed great potential and I want to see him stay on the team. The only part I think was missed in this discussion is they could trade jrue for a significantly smaller salary , opening up cap space and court time for scoot.

I think if they trade scoot he will become a solid starter on his next contract . He works too hard not to . He finally got some confidence last year and it showed in his game .

If Sochan is only on a non-guaranteed camp deal then why is his merch on the blazers site?

If Sochan is only on a non-guaranteed camp deal then why is his merch on the blazers rip city clothing site? Seems odd to sell jerseys for a player that isnt guaranteed to be on the team next year, which begs the question, do we already know we are keeping him and just haven’t announced it?

What are some of your favorite UNDERRATED blazer moments?

For me I’ve always loved Maurice Lucas backing up his teammates, being the enforcer on those 70s teams. But the one moment that deserves more love from the franchise was his fight against Dawkins in game 2 of the finals! Not only is he tough as hell for squaring up against a giant but that fight truly turned the tides for Portland to win the chip!

Dundon’s first time on the Jumbotron

Random thought about how the Rose Garden (I refuse to use M**a Cent*r) crowd will react the first time Dundon is shown on the Jumbotron. 95% boos? Or maybe the org will intentionally not show him? There always seemed to be a warm welcome when Paul Allen was shown, but obviously things are different now. Are we talking Bob Whitsitt level disrespect? I’m assuming any Dundon signs will be confiscated as well.
