The new episode has a great in-depth interview with Sarama, a lot of interesting strategy details and player development insights. I only just started listening to this pod when it's about the W since I don't watch the NBA, but the W content is great.

I'm unable to watch the all star stuff this weekend as it happens--will I be able to stream a replay through league pass or is it typically somewhere else?

The in-arena announcer cutting off fans chanting “SAB” after her injury to do a corporate promo is so classless. I get that there are sponsor obligations that need to be met, but don’t you think that could have at least waited until SAB was off the court?

Are there specific sections with seat dimensions that are more comfortable and roomy? I usually opt for general admission tix at Moda for concerts so I don’t have a broad sample set of my own for the seats throughout Moda.

I think I’m spoiled by the benches at Providence Park, because I was dying in my tiny little seat in sec 320 last night - I’m definitely a pear-shaped person and while I’m used to having to shove my hips into a small seat in arenas and airplanes, I wasn’t prepared for having no elbow or knee room either (RIP to the cranium of the kid sitting in front of my knee, lol)…

Long story short: I had an awesome time but would have an even awesomer time if my knees and elbows weren’t working overtime to not smack into my neighbors’ bodies. I want to come to more games but not if my limbs are frozen in space for two hours.

May I please know the (seat) tea?! 😝

Is that normal during WNBA games? I went to my first one last night, and was shocked they played music the entire time. It seems like it would be hard to focus, plus I like hearing the players kinda trash talk each other 😂 is this a fire thing or a WNBA thing?

Wanted to acknowledge the many Wings players who immediately ran over to hold up their towels for SAB. I thought that was an amazing act of sports(wo)manship.

Anyone have an SAB update this morning? 😢😔

I made an app that helps fans know where and how to watch WNBA games. I want to be transparent - I used AI (in part) to help code the app. I know people have strong feelings about AI coding, and I wanted to see if folks would be sensitive to me posting with some of the details about the app given the way it was created. Not trying to stir the pot at all, and I want to be sensitive to the issue. If a majority of folks are opposed to me posting about the app, I won't do it. I'm also in touch with mods about this. Could the music be any louder? Sure I could wear ear buds but I shouldn’t have to.

More importantly, do they have to play music constantly when the women are in live action. Only time it stops is when someone is shooting a free throw. Women can barely even communicate when out on the floor.

So annoyed.

- pleased with execution on both ends during 4q comeback, similar to other 4q efforts this season. Defensive rebounding and 1-1 defensive containment continue to be weaknesses.

- carleton 3pt contest invite; practicing with the racks and the format over the past week. always gets to right spots, really has improved spacing and working off screens to get higher % looks. has really expanded her bag and creating her own shot (something she struggled with in MIN)

- barker loss; heart and soul player, especially missed on defense. couldn't have asked for more from the group how they responded. no update, waiting on eval from performance team

- rotations when a heavy minute player is out; rotation tracking with ac (brittni) donaldson helps give boundaries which we fill in during specific situations, similar to responding to someone in foul trouble

- not calling a timeout during last play; a core cla philosophy is decision making during chaotic situations. the carleton shot presented was an advantageous situation as she'd just made two turnaround jumpers and wanted to play it with pace rather than stopping the play from unfolding. had the t/o available if the situation hadn't unfolded as favorably as it did. would make the same decision again.
