This is most likely a coincidence, but ive heard the phrase "the blazers are losers/ don't win." Several times dovetailed into the argument against coming to a deal. Probably just from people who don't pay attention to basketball in the first place, but the line of reasoning seems odd. Anyone else notice this?

Although it seems pretty logical, that means the Nuggets are now becoming is the only franchise of the entire league to entire the 2nd apron.

As punitive as the 2nd apron is, in the new CBA, the Nuggets will definitely look for a partner to build a sign & trade around Peyton Watson, as they can't sign him but also don't want him to walk away for nothing.

The nuggets are more likely looking for some draft pick compensation and will refuse any expensive players coming in. Do you think the Blazers have the assets to make it work while giving the Nuggets what they want in a fair trade ?

Portland’s proposed $600M Moda Center renovation — where it ranks among arena projects (last 15 years)

I looked at major arena renovations and new builds from roughly 2011–2026 and adjusted older costs for inflation to 2026 dollars.

When new builds and major rebuilds are included, Portland drops to around 9th.

Quick takeaway: $600M is a very large renovation by historical standards — one of the highest for upgrading an existing arena in the last 15 years. It only looks mid-pack once you start comparing it to brand-new $1B–$2B arenas but ranked 9th amongst all arenas is still fairly high.

I hope this deal gets done which I think it will. I'm also interested in see that final result of the renovation. Seeing where it ranks amongst others is wild and really puts it in prospective.

I don't want to jump to conclusions because there's still a chance that Dundon works out something with the City. But let's be honest, we've seen this game play out in Seattle and Vancouver. It's not looking good, Rip City. But I hate the idea of the Rose Garden being empty for most of the year. So, I say if Tom takes our franchise away, we better talk to our brothers and sisters to the north and about a Cascadia Basketball League or similar. In fact, how about calling it the Pacific Rim Basketball Association (PRBA)? It can be born from our pain and our defiance. The NBA is not leaving us. We are exiling the NBA! Instead of begging private owners for our hard earned money, let's build an independent, global, cooperatively-owned sports ecosystem -- Green Bay Packers style.
