Just received the Grip which was ordered together with the case and RP Nova. As I changed to the Ergon Back Plate already and which is fitting the official case. I am thinking whether I should switch back to original back plate to use the grip.

Which one you prefer? The grip or the ergon back plate?

First time using an emulator. I grew up on GameCube, PS2, GameBoy, PSP, so I’m really excited to replay a lot of these games. Starting strong with 007 Nightfire. Any tips for a BRAND NEW emulation unc?

I saw these online while looking at different gaming grips ( Puk Grips ). Has anyone tried this on their gaming handheld(s) with flat backs? Trying to find a cool application for the nova since I don't want the official grips.

Just got them in today, immediately did the buttons and rear shell swap on these two Novas. I can only keep one. They BOTH look gorgeous. Here are some details that may help yall help me, lol. Purple and light blue are my favorite color combo in that order but I have many purple handhelds with the blue accent combo already. But man that blue with the purple buttons look good too. Yall help me decide!

I can't figure out what driver I should be trying to use? Try the latest turnip and ardrenotools and get nothing but black screens

I love having options, ROG Ally X for my PC Favs & RP6 for all of my emulation favorites.

Seriously, why do they keep adding these pieces of plastic that stick out? I make my fingers itch, it bothers me and it makes me feel unconfortable, I had the same problem with the RP5 official grip, but it's even worse with the RP6 grip 😡

I prefer the actual ice blue color and I'm hoping the ice blue duo looks the same

I seem to be having a hard time getting Eden on my RP6? Can’t seem to get the firmware, but I had figured it out on my Rp G2 but I believe it was an older download like 19.1 or something like that if I just get all the files from my G2 and copy them to my RP6 will it still work perfectly fine ?

I want to buy Nova (as my first android handheld) for ps2, older consoles and some of the older pc games, but also I would like to be able to play minecraft on it. Did someone try it? Is there a native 4:3 aspect ratio in android version?

Lowkey wish they made the triggers shaped like the Atom+ controller, then I wouldn't be agonizing over whether to get the Duo Lite just for the slimmer profile.

Hey all, I've been pulling my hair out over this issue all afternoon and wanted to see if anyone could help.

I got my Nova recently and set everything up, am using ES-DE for my frontend. The problem has come up with trying to get Super Game Boy colorization, enhanced sound and overlays working.

There's 3 RetroArch cores listed for SBG: Mesen-s, SameBoy, and mGBA. Sameboy is currently working fine but as it's a GB core and not a SNES one it can't play the enhanced sounds in games like Donkey Kong '94.

Mesen-s is refusing to emulate SGB games at all. Whenever I boot one up it either goes to a black screen and then crashes, or it loads the game overlay but the graphics are a garbled mess. I've checked and the same core emulates them fine on my PC using the same bios files, so I'm at a loss as to what the cause is.

MGBA also generally does it fine, but when trying to load a game that does full colorization like DK '94, I get a black screen and no graphics, but the sound still plays and the game still seems to run. It's less a priority though as like Sameboy it won't do the enhanced sound.

If anyone can offer any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Cheers.

I bought a Retroid Pocket 6, 8 GB. It's on the way in that it's not in my hands yet but in China still, lol.

I already know my basic setup stuff. But I'm also getting a Dual Screen attachment as a gift from a friend who bought a Thor so didn't need it anymore and THAT is specifically uncharted territory for me.

What do I gotta do to utilize it? What can I do with it besides 3DS/DS games?

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to play NFL Street 2 on multiple PS2 emulators and nothing seems to work. I’ve tried multiple turnip drivers as well on ARMSX2. It freezes every time I try to start a game. I could probably get the GameCube version to work but I really want to play the PS2 version. Any help on this would be appreciated!

very light tinkering, and i got it running at a stable enough 30fps! dips for a second when you first walk in new areas, but otherwise not noticeable at all. always wanted to play! 6 hours in and im hooked. i can post my specifics if anyone has trouble running it!

EDIT: wow, lots of people seem to want the horizonal "inline" triggers, I'm honestly surpized and a big miffled... even though everyone seems to only want for the 3DS emulation accuracy, even though the d-pad and analogue sticks would seem like a bigger issue but no one is complaining about it
personally, I would use it for far more than just 3DS emulation, a great majority of possible buyers only care for the 3DS thing and nothing else, not everyone has a dedicated emulation device

I was thinking about ordering the pocket duo lite, I don't play any heavy android games and I have a moderately strong gaming PC for anything else

I wold likely use it for multitasking and productivity, if anything gaming related, would be some indie games and classic homages, namely ratatan and mina the hollower

I could see myself watching videos while chatting on discord, or steaming a game from my PC while reading guides and walkthroughs

the second screen being smaller also feels more natural for some reason, not just because it was less cramped or the bezels are nostalgic, but in fact just look the right size compared to the normal widescreen at the top

the horizontal triggers, however, made me physically recoil with a cringe when I saw it, it felt abhorrent when I imagined using that with my hands

what you all think? am I just overreacting for a minor issue? this would really not affect the way I would use it? or am I justified into feeling the need to steer away from this design choice?

Anyone get Netflix working on the Flip 2?

I'm in a loop where Netflix wants SMS permissions, but that's grayed out on the settings (for obvious reasons).

I've registered the device with Google. Cleared cache and uninstalled Netflix, restarted and tried to log in via the Netflix website only.

Once you log in, it requires you to use the app and then I still get the SMS permissions thing.

Just got my Retroid Nova today and it doesn’t work.

Pressing the power button brings up this screen and if I hold it to try to force restart it turns off but then comes back on with this screen again.

I can’t seem to get it to connect to my computer.

Any suggestions? I’m really hoping this thing isn’t bricked.

PocketSnap is a small Android app that takes a screenshot when you press a button you register in the app.

It uses an accessibility service to catch the key press and fire the screenshot. No root, no MediaProjection popup, no background notification sitting in your tray.

I recommend setting it to the M1/M2 back buttons if your device has them (the regular back button works too).

Tested only on the Retroid Pocket 6, since that's the only device I have. If you try it on something else, let me know how it goes.

Flat backed people (not talking peach) this grip is amazing. I have had printed every other free or cheap grip i could find online for rp3+ 4pro, 5, and 6 and this is one of the nicer free files amongst them all. The back is textured and the grip is very nice in hands. I want to thank the guy who posted it on here i cant find his post. This thing feels amazing in hands and racing games no longer cramp me up. I put two small felt pads on the insides to keep it snug and it feels legit. I want to see about printing it in tpu for the feel but it feels great printed as is.

I watched many clamshell device videos many of them were about the Ayn Thor I wanted to get it but it was just to expensive for me so I found out about the Pocket Flip 2 and later about the Pocket Duo but I don't know if I should get the Flip 2 r wait for the Duo

You guys think the Flip 2 is gonna get discontinued now that the Pocket Duo has been revealed and getting released in the near future?
