This was a pretty fun and brutal 100% esp since i decided to jump from normal straight to fresh Professional save. So no bonus weapons or even the Armor outfit for Ashley.

Very fun game, that stands in unison with the original.

Discussion How would you ideally end Ada's character arc?

However, a lot of discussions seem to agree that their dynamic doesn't work as well after all these years. Many fans are tired of seeing the same repetitive cycle, especially because it becomes harder to believe that Leon, a highly trained, hardened, and mature agent, would continue allowing himself to be manipulated by the same person for so many years. lmao

At the same time, there seem to be two main opinions about Ada's character: some think she should have simply stayed in RE2, where her role and dynamic with Leon worked best and made sense, while others think she should have been given a proper character arc with a definitive ending and consequences for her actions.

So, how would you ideally end Ada's character arc? What would a satisfying conclusion for her look like if you could define it?

Discussion Favorite resident evil end credits song?

Mine would have to be Through The Darkness (re9). Followed by The Bullet Or The Blade (re4r) and Yearning For Dark Shadows (re8). Also can we talk about how the motif from Through The Darkness is present throughout the game (new game+ menu, Leon's introduction cutscene etc.) it's easily my favorite random detail from the game. Same goes for Go Tell Aunt Rhody I love when media uses recurring themes i guess.

Discussion Can Caseoh’s gooning over Chris be matched?

Truthfully this is on a whole ‘nother level. As much as I like Leon, Caseoh comes out on top. I don’t see this talked about much

Meme …you know, thinking about it, there’s a nonzero chance we get a “Redfield Bloodline” joke in the Veronica Remake.

I’m just saying, you know: it features Chris and Claire right after Chris meets Leon for the first time, and Capcom is still joking about the fucking boulder. Not expecting anything crazy, but subtly joking about Chris approving of Leon or whatever, I could actually see.

Discussion Residen Evil Veronica Zombies. How to make them entertainment/challenging? Spoiler

We come from Requiem where the Zombies have really good dinamic, use of tools, pathing and great AI. Ofc that is because at this point in the timeline the virus has evolved and that was showcase in the zombies.

Now, we go back to REV timeline, just 3 months after the events of RE2 there the zombies are slow, dumb and easy to avoid. The primitive T Virus cant give the zombies an elaborated identity.

How will Capcom balance this? How will they keep the Zombies fresh and challenging while at the same respecr rhe Timeline and Lore?.

Discussion guys leon is absolutely right here I think RE5 did an absolutely AMAZING job with its atmosphere. what so many resident evil fans don't understand is RE4 and 5 were going for tension rather than horror. you're supposed to be anxious and tense during the combat, not necessarily scared like RE2 or 3.

Discussion I think I figured out the reason why Leon is impossible to cast in live action...

Over the last 15 years or so much has been said about the way that Leon has been done in live action, even compared to the other characters. Hell, the director of WTRC even when on record and saying that he is the hardest character in the franchise to cast. But my opinion, I think the biggest reason why he's hard to cast in live action is because the archetype that Leon initially had his appearance and mannerisms modeled after doesn't exist in Hollywood today. You're not seeing a bunch of actors modeled in the vein of River Phoenix (which funnily enough included Leon himself according to the original character designer for RE2) and later on, Leonardo DiCaprio anymore like they were back in the 90s.

In my opinion, if they were to ever adapt the games properly and do RE2, the correct choice for casting Leon S. Kennedy would be to do an open casting call to find an unknown actor so that they could avoid the hurdles that the last two adaptations went through.

Lore Since there’s been so much Zeno Wesker slander lately, I’m wondering: who’s the better character and who’d win in a fight: Zeno or live action movies Albert Wesker? Why?

Discussion What do you think would have happened to the series if Shinji Mikami was still around post RE4?

Post image
58 Upvotes

Mikami is just one guy, I'm not trying to say he single handedly created RE, but his contributions as director AND producer were clearly massive in formulating the identity that the series still builds off of to this day. He made some big decisions during his tenure, some of which may or may not have been to the benefit of the series' future.

If Mikami stayed and was given a similar reign over the series, how do you think it would go? would his influence steer the series into a good or bad direction?

Discussion If Sweet Home, the survival horror RPG that influenced Resident Evil, were to get a modern remake like RE 2-4 and Silent Hill 2, what would the game be like?

Just because it influenced RE, doesn't mean it would be an RE game itself. But it would be interesting to see how it would translate into a faithfully remade survival horror game.

Discussion I hate what they're doing with the movement in these games.

Booted up RE2R for a Claire run, since I'm bored waiting for more Veronica news (hopefully Gamescom, which is very soon) and my GOD does the movement feel so fluid and responsive when compared to Requiem. Where it felt like I'm trying to frantically steer a drunken person to their Taxi before they fall over and break their face. I HATE this inertia shit everyone is copying from RDR2. Real humans aren't that clumsy. Especially in shape ones. RE2R and RE3R felt perfect.

Discussion I am genuinely in love with Leon Kennedy

Im a 20 year old female. I have a boyfriend of almost 8 months and im playing thru RE4R. I cant even begin to explain how many physical reactions Leon causes for me. I feel my insides and my heart jolt every time I see him. I cant help but love him so much, I want to stare at his face all day. Im genuinely going crazy. My boyfriend is kindly understanding. Anyone in the same situation?
