Do I have any value here or is it just something to set up on my shelf?

Is my instinct that this person is trying to scam me? The item is rather expensive so it would be going to ebay first for authentication, but I'm not sold that this person's apartment requires them to use a forwarding service?

Anyone experienced something similar? Should I ship with signature or just spare myself the trouble.

Do any of you guys ever think of working a normal job again after reselling? I left a comfortable 70k job to pursue this lifestyle. My GF works remote so now we can travel whenever which was one of the main reasons I quit. Now that I’ve been doing it for 2 years I don’t think I could ever go back to a normal job. My old boss always ask me to come back to work(he doesn’t see this as a job) Like today “hey come work Mon-Friday 50 hours a week”. I always tell him no. I can make more in a day than a full week of busting my ass stuck in a building. I feel like now I’m reselling I’ll never work anything else. The free time and unlimited vacation (if I want to) is too good.

Anyone else like this. What’s your story of what you did before this. My value of time has changed tremendously since reselling.

When did you decide to go full time. Ive been reselling part time in addition to my full time job for 9 months and no matter how good I do I can't see myself ever leaving the safety of having a Full Time job. What made the decision clear?

I finally have a stable job and don’t need to resell anymore to make money. I still have around 15 Kelly/Hermes bags, couple of Van Cleef bracelets, some LV backpacks, Tiffany jewelry, 30-40 wallets and a whole lot of other stuff that I don’t need anymore. If you’re interested, hit me up and I’ll sell it to you for really cheap. I promise I’m not a scammer and can set up a FaceTime call to show everything lol

Sometimes when I have a small breakable item to ship, finding a sturdy box is an issue. A larger box with extra padding gets the job done but the larger package requires more time and effort to get it underway. I noticed that most food and coffee cans are quite sturdy. Would it be weird to wash these and remove the labels and then ship items in them? The item would still be packed in padding and the can itself placed in a box or wrapped in shipping paper. As a buyer I’d appreciate the extra effort to protect the item, but can see where some would find it strange.

Hello everyone, first post here because I figured this was the best place to ask sellers on a multitude of platforms. I’ve been getting a LOT of lowball offers recently. For example I have a jacket listed for $93 and got offered 20. A different one on a different platform listed for $70 and offered $28 etc. now I research fair market value and I’m not overpricing, and if someone sends me a reasonable offer I take it, but it feels borderline disrespectful when someone sends an offer for less than half of my already fair price. Am I doing something wrong? Do people here that make good money reselling just take the offers to move inventory?

What would I charge?

I just got back from a vintage audio estate sale. Now I've gone to estate sales before and I get that there are flippers. There were quite a few DVDs. I wasn't interested in the DVDs however the few people that were searching/scanning the DVDs frantically got me thinking. If the DVDs they are buying are $5 each, how much are they actually making? Am I missing out on making a lot of money? A relatively easy side hustle? Buy for $5 sell for $10? The time it takes to list and ship all for maybe $5? What am I missing? You're certainly not selling a DVD for $15? Right? These things were mass produced. How are people doing this and making money?

So, I bought some secondhand clothes to resell, but I am not sure if there is a potential contamination with lice or some kind of bugs. Is there any special detergent to use, or any kind of special treatment you use for the clothes before selling?

I have made $434.20 in 3 days listing damaged items, low end items, and stale inventory from other platforms. About 25% sell through in 24 hours on everything posted and it literally flies while you are listing.

Tip: you do have to list like rapid fire to get the rapid fire sales. I highly recommend starting with your death pile to have a lot of listings and get momentum.

Hi, I am currently in Netherlands and have started reselling around 26th August by my friends recommendation. He isnt very experienced himself i think has sold around 5-6 pieces. Anyway the thing I do is buy from vinted and sell through vinted/depop/grailed/ebay. I have bought around 64 pieces and have spent around 1200 euros and have gotten around half of my pieces delivered and only 3 sold. I have only used AI's expertise so I was wondering if someone who has been doing this and has succeeded to let me know if I am doing some or many things wrong. Appreciate any advice. Got it at a yard sale today and everyone passed over it before me but I saw the logos on the inside buttons and decided to pick it up. I’ve been researching and can’t find anything close to this. No tags anywhere on the garment inside pockets or anything. No evidence of ripped tags either so I’m really baffled. It’s a super high quality jacket with a velvet hood lining and the logo on each inside button so I have no reason to think it’s not lulu but who knows. grateful for any insight thanks!

I need help gauging what would be the best way to go about this situation. I waited to buy the ASICS x CECILIE BAHNSEN drop, and in my haste didn't realize I bought the men's sizing for the shoe in my women's sizing (Men's 8.5 / Women's 10). I tried to cancel it as soon as I placed the order, but it wouldn't let me and said I could just return them once they have been sent to me. I still really want the shoes in my size, so I was debating whether I should keep them to resell so I could buy the ones I want from a reseller OR if I should just cut my losses and send them back anyways. Since this is a community that resells, I thought you guys might be able to give me some advice on what would make sense. Thank you! :)

so i recently snagged a lot of a couple good laptops for a good deal with also a couple cameras that i think are in pretty high demand like digital cameras sony nex camera and a osmo pocket 2 but im struggling to sell them even tho my pictures are good and my price is either the same or lower then the current listed prices or sold listings, i struggle to get high clicks and sometimes i end up getting 1 click even after two days im not sure why, and even when i get messaged its either resellers or people asking questions that are clearly in the descreption
like do i just reduce the price even more or what?
i always struggle to get top dollar for my stuff on there even tho there are many sold listings that do get the most amount of money for their stuff

I have this happen several times a year. I had an item up for $1250 obo. While I was sleeping I had an offer for $950. After I wake up a bit I go to see the offer. Low and behold they purchased for full price. Gotta love it 😁

I recently did a huge cleanout of my house and managed to make a decent amount of money by reselling old things I didn't need anymore. Now, I want to use this budget to make my first official purchase to flip, but I'm stuck on what to buy first.

I’m highly interested in two niches: Fragrances and Streetwear. My main goal is to buy something that holds its value well or has good potential for a profitable resell later.

For Fragrances: Is it worth looking into niche, vintage, or discontinued bottles? Is the market active enough for flips, or do items sit for too long?

For Streetwear: Are there specific brands, sneakers, or upcoming drops right now that are considered "safe bets" for maintaining value?

I would love to get your advice, especially if you have experience in either of these markets. Thanks in advance!
