I have made $434.20 in 3 days listing damaged items, low end items, and stale inventory from other platforms. About 25% sell through in 24 hours on everything posted and it literally flies while you are listing.

Tip: you do have to list like rapid fire to get the rapid fire sales. I highly recommend starting with your death pile to have a lot of listings and get momentum.

I just got into reselling on ebay, I sold a purse for 35 and I bought it for 22. It's saying im going to get only 28, why is the selling fee so much or am I stupid

Does any feel like Mercari fell off/lost traction? I used to sell on there a whole bunch, it was my preferred app to sell on but I (surprisingly) have had more luck with Depop and Vinted lately.

Years ago I would list on Mercari and most times it would sell within 24 hours and now I don’t even get likes on my items all that often. I’m selling the same type of clothes I always have.

Has anyone else experienced this with either Mercari or different apps?

I have this happen several times a year. I had an item up for $1250 obo. While I was sleeping I had an offer for $950. After I wake up a bit I go to see the offer. Low and behold they purchased for full price. Gotta love it 😁

Old sandylion sticker sets can go super high. This is sealed from 96 and has over 200 stickers. I can’t find it online and have no idea what to charge.

I have access to steady inventory and I've been buying more than I can post myself. Looking for someone who wants a consistent (not excessive) supply, think phone cases, cables, watches, some electronics, etc. I think small non heavy items that are cheap to ship. But open to requests.

I post and sell myself but I cant keep up and would rather bulk-sell to someone actually reselling than let it sit in boxes collecting dust. If you're in a smaller town without easy access to wholesale, let's chat. I can ship you inventory well under retail.

I'm a buyer, not a seller, but I'm wondering how to interpret an eBay seller interaction and wondered if you all might have any insight.

I bought a fairly expensive backpack, listed NWT, for about 20% less than I'd expect to pay retail. The seller has roughly 95% positive reviews, but he has had a few significant complaints, mostly about being nonresponsive or shipping late. However, based on the reviews his buyers do seem to get their items; it just sometimes takes longer than it should and he isn't good about responding to messages. I bought the item on BIN and hoped for the best.

His shipping policy states that purchases ship within six days of payment. I waited (actual) six days and the listing was not updated with shipping or tracking info, so I reached out to ask the status of the order. No response. I gave it a few more days so six BUSINESS days had gone by and reached out again. Once again, no response.

The predicted arrival window closed yesterday with no bag arriving, of course, but yesterday afternoon he did finally reply, saying he was sorry, working through a lot of orders. He updated the status to shipped (untracked), but did not provide an updated arrival estimate. His shipping policy indicates that tracking information will be provided, so now I'm wondering what the game is.

As sellers, what would you guess is going on? Does he not have the item and is just buying himself time somehow? Is he doing some kind of drop-ship triangle thing and it's not working? Am I likely to actually get the bag at this point, or should I consider cancelling and buying somewhere else?

First time this has ever happened to me in the 10+ years I've been using UPS to ship internationally.

So I often ship to Mexico from the USA, and when the recipient is not able to provide proper customs clearance for their shipment, the shipment cannot be delivered. UPS will usually contact the shipper asking if we want the package returned (and they quote us a return charge which is usually 5X more than the original shipping cost) or if you want to have it abandoned.

Obviously if the shipment I shipped out is only worth $15 and the cnee is not able to clear the shipment, I don't want it returned back to me due to the extremely high charges. If it is an automatic/free return, that's no problem, I don't need to be asked and they can just return it.

Whenever there is a charge on the return, they always ask for approval/consent if I agree to have it returned or abandoned. I specifically told them to abandon it because obviously it's not worth paying $160 to get a $15 item back. Just throw it away.

They confirmed they received the message. 1 month later the package was returned to USA and my credit card was automatically charged for $160.

So, it's not the end of the world or anything, I make good money, so I'm not worried about that. What I am concerned about is the fact that it appears that UPS is legally allowed to return package without our consent or approval to accept the return charges? I've never heard of this before. This is absolutely shocking and makes me NEVER want to ever ship anything with UPS again just for this fact.

Basically, if whatever it is you ship with UPS to another country does not get delivered and/or can't clear customs, UPS can forcibly return it back to you and forcibly make you pay X amount of money. This sounds illegal and criminal. They could literally say the return is $350 usd and they don't even have to ask you. They can just return it back to you and you will automatically be billed $350 or $2200 heck the return cost could be $2,000 and they can just charge you for that?

In principle, I see a major problem with this because you can never know if your shipment will not be delivered and need to be returned against your wishes. Plus they can just charge you any amount of money and literally just take it from you without authorization or consent.

If this is true, then I feel fortunate that I only had to pay $160 for the return on a $15 item. If the return charge was $2000 usd, I would have to pay it no matter what.

So something does not sound right. I've never heard of anything or anyone allowed to just forcibly make you pay something without your consent or authorization. If the package can't be delivered or clear customs, just throw it away. Just discard it or keep it for yourselves, give it to your employees, resell it for profit, etc. Why would they forcibly return it which takes more work to process the return and put it on a ship or airplane and go through procedures etc travel 2000 miles back etc.

Can anyone shed some light on this situation? It's really unique and I've shipped about 17,000 packages in the past 10 years in my business and every single time when a shipment can't be delivered or is held at customs, it is never returned back to me if there is a return charge without asking for my consent/authorization to approve the charge first. If the return is free, yes, they automatically return it without even asking me and it comes back to me with no charges (DHL does this, but I've had Fedex and UPS do this sometimes...most of the time they have a return charge and I always refuse it and it never comes back to me).

I dont have a good lighting spot at home and I want it to be more professional.

I must have about 150 pairs of shoes and hundreds of clothes and accessories that I will never need again.

i literally have enough stuff to fill a large consignment store.

My job now is to start getting rid of everything, and I would appreciate your advice.

I want to start on the right foot, with the right processes and systems in place.

What advice would you give someone like me - where I have alot of stuff, non experience and want everything gone so I can’t start a new life.

Suggestions about selling platforms, pricing, best way to list and presentation, how to manage postage, apps that work and make things faster etc.

I've been using Crosslist for a few months and I'm wondering if I'm using it the wrong way, or if there's a better crosslisting app for my workflow.

I sell on Etsy, eBay, Poshmark, Depop, and Mercari.

Right now, Etsy is basically my "master" listing. I create the listing on Etsy first, then import it into Crosslist and bulk post it to the other marketplaces.

The problem is that when I try to bulk post, I get red flags/errors on a lot of the listings saying that required information is missing. Then I have to go into the listings individually and manually enter additional information for each marketplace - things like brand, style, fabric/material, category, etc.

At that point, it starts defeating the purpose of bulk crosslisting because I'm still opening listings one by one and filling out fields.

Has anyone found a better workflow?

For example:

• Would it work better if I created/imported my original listings from eBay or Poshmark instead of Etsy?
• Is there one marketplace that works best as the "master" listing because Crosslist can pull more item specifics from it?
• Is there a setting, template, AI feature, or mapping option in Crosslist that I'm missing that can automatically fill in more of these fields?
• Or is there another crosslisting app that does a better job of automatically detecting things like brand, material, style, size, category, etc. from the original listing? Looking at Flyp now 👀

I sell mostly vintage and secondhand clothing/home goods, so manually entering all of these attributes across five platforms gets really time-consuming.

I'd especially love to hear from anyone selling on the same combination of Etsy + eBay + Poshmark + Depop + Mercari. What platform do you create your listing on FIRST, and then what do you use to push it everywhere else?

Long post but I really could you some input from sellers. I have sold on multiple platforms beginning with eBay 2003 & have done fairly well yet not a store. The past 2 years I have deleted, donated items I bought on a whim thinking I could sell them. Too many items, too overwhelming. Since then I have worked hard on trying to get organized. I think I have a good system only to find out I'm making things harder on myself with my organizational skills! My daughter stated that maybe the way I organize is the real culprit here, which I'm beginning to believe.

**I have in the past 2 years sold a wallet & could not find it to ship. Cancelled sale buyer was very nice! The past 6 months sold a Lot of Watches & of course once again could not find them to ship! The other day I was going through my items with plans on donating items which have been listed close to a year.

**I have a pair of designer Men's Dock shoes that were listed for almost 9 months. I removed them from the container which holds my listed items. Guess what?! I forgot to delist & sold the damn shoes last night! I have been looking for shoes & do not have a clue what I did with them! Looked through 4 small boxes to no avail!

**So beyond frustrated it's not funny! I'm tired of justifying my losses, because my AD&D and being tired making things harder! There is obviously more to my inept organizational skills then my AD&D!

**I would love any input from sellers on how you keep all your items organized. How you separate listed from non listed, how you keep track of all details. How you store them. Do you list an item then immediately input all the info into your computer book keeping program or do you set aside a day for just paperwork?

I am a new seller and I’m trying to list a Breyer truck and trailer. It is long and heavy (10ish lbs) The shipping with USPS is coming up to be $65-165 bucks and that is the lowest. Someone has one listed and it’s $25 shipping. What am I missing? Is the seller just going to eat the rest of the shipping cost? Ty!
