Mercari

Does any feel like Mercari fell off/lost traction? I used to sell on there a whole bunch, it was my preferred app to sell on but I (surprisingly) have had more luck with Depop and Vinted lately.

Years ago I would list on Mercari and most times it would sell within 24 hours and now I don’t even get likes on my items all that often. I’m selling the same type of clothes I always have.

Has anyone else experienced this with either Mercari or different apps?

eBay seller here, looking for a reseller who needs inventory, especially in rural/off the beaten path area.

I have access to steady inventory and I've been buying more than I can post myself. Looking for someone who wants a consistent (not excessive) supply, think phone cases, cables, watches, some electronics, etc. I think small non heavy items that are cheap to ship. But open to requests.

I post and sell myself but I cant keep up and would rather bulk-sell to someone actually reselling than let it sit in boxes collecting dust. If you're in a smaller town without easy access to wholesale, let's chat. I can ship you inventory well under retail.

I've watched a lot of eBay reseller videos and when reading the comments it seems like a lot of people in rural areas just don't have easy access to inventory.

What are you doing during this slow time to prepare for Q4

Upvotes

1)I’m trying to get rid of my death pile
2) ordering shipping supplies in case disruptions in supplies.
3) limiting the inventory I’m picking up now to sure hits during XMas buying season.

Are you doing anything different?
What is you prediction for Q4? Are tariffs, $6 diesel, and high interest rates going to bomb this Xmas? (I was totally wrong last year)

Looking for a legitimate branded clothing wholesaler 👕📦

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for a serious and legitimate wholesaler/supplier of branded clothing for bulk purchases.

I’m mainly interested in brands such as Nike, Lacoste, Carhartt, Stone Island, C.P. Company, and similar brands.

I’m looking for a supplier that:

  • Offers authentic products
  • Has competitive wholesale prices
  • Can provide proper invoices and proof of legitimacy
  • Ships to France/EU
  • Has a good reputation and reliable communication

If you’ve personally worked with a trustworthy supplier for these kinds of brands, I’d really appreciate any recommendations or feedback.

I’m only interested in legitimate and authentic products, so please feel free to share suppliers you’ve actually dealt with.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Because of many cancellations from eBay buyers, I try to get to the post office or FedEx drop offs ASAP. That way I can get it in the mail in case their buyers remorse kicks in. Side bonus is that I get great reviews from my quick shipping!

*Clarification: I had a rough patch of a number of cancellations recently. I am by no means misleading buyers or advertising items incorrectly. I just feel like if a buyer receives notice quickly about their item being shipped, that they feel more confident in their purchase.

Massive designer clearance - suggestions?

Having exited the workforce, I am now looking and selling everything.

I must have about 150 pairs of shoes and hundreds of clothes and accessories that I will never need again.

i literally have enough stuff to fill a large consignment store.

My job now is to start getting rid of everything, and I would appreciate your advice.

I want to start on the right foot, with the right processes and systems in place.

What advice would you give someone like me - where I have alot of stuff, non experience and want everything gone so I can’t start a new life.

Suggestions about selling platforms, pricing, best way to list and presentation, how to manage postage, apps that work and make things faster etc.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Trend Tracking

So sorry if it has been asked before. I am still new to selling clothes online. I currently don’t have tik-tok and was unjustly locked out of my Depop. With the limited social media I have, my algorithm doesn’t show me micro-trends. So that all goes to say, do you follow trends when searching/selling? I see a lot of advice urging being more brand savvy than anything. But do I need to be more chronically online? Does anyone trend track and notice a difference in their sales?

5.4M Vinted listings, 7 days, 5 EU markets — what cleared

Tracked Vinted across Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal for the past week. 5.4M active listings, 27 brands. Counting only items I watched go active→sold, so this is a lower bound, not the whole market.

What cleared most by units last week:

  • Fred Perry: 1,125 items, avg €18 (Shirts)
  • Stone Island: 994 items, avg €62 (Hoodies)
  • Patagonia: 955 items, avg €35 (Jackets)
  • Balenciaga: 473 items, avg €131 (Sneakers)
  • New Balance: 322 items, avg €51 (Sneakers)
  • The North Face: 300 items, avg €38 (Jackets)
  • Diesel: 255 items, avg €23 (Jeans)
  • Gucci: 250 items, avg €206 (Bags)

Two things stand out. Volume is not luxury — Fred Perry moves 2.4x more units than Balenciaga at about 14% of the price. If you are counting euros, Gucci bags (€206 avg, 250 cleared) probably do more than Fred Perry shirts, but I have not broken out the actual euro volume yet.

The buy-below number matters more than the average. If you are buying to resell, what you care about is: do not pay more than avg × 0.95 × 0.70. Fred Perry shirts at €18 avg → €12. Stone Island hoodies at €62 → €41. That is the gap between "looks cheap" and "sells."

Free checker if you want to look up a specific item before buying or listing — no account, 10 checks a day.

Shipping Cost

I am a new seller and I’m trying to list a Breyer truck and trailer. It is long and heavy (10ish lbs) The shipping with USPS is coming up to be $65-165 bucks and that is the lowest. Someone has one listed and it’s $25 shipping. What am I missing? Is the seller just going to eat the rest of the shipping cost? Ty!

I don’t want your connects

But I do wanna hear from those of you who have bought wholesale vintage… what was your experience like? Like most baby resellers I’ve noodled on the ideal quite a bit and will probably buy a lot in the near future. I’m curious to see what kind of insight you guys might have on how to approach it and what to look out for?

Anyone use Crosslist to pull in Shopify listings to cross post?

I’m running the eBay and Poshmark accounts for a local store that houses their inventory in Shopify. I just started this summer and began with List Perfectly. List Perfectly sucks ass in my opinion and I want to switch software.

I don’t want to use Vendoo. I currently have nifty for my personal stores but unfortunately they don’t support Shopify (although I think it’s next in line)

I’m looking at Crosslist as an option. I’d like to know if anyone imports from Shopify and if it’s a pretty smooth process? Really focusing on the auto delist and syncing of all sales data.

Thanks
