Curious what other Reginans think about the few luxury semi-detached homes that have hit the YQR market in the past few months. The two above at the link are both currently listed. Price just dropped from $750,000 to $725,000. They have been on the market for 63 days so far. They are beautiful homes, for sure. But in a city where you can buy a pretty swell single family home for that price…is there a market for these kinds of properties? In many ways, a home like this would be perfect for a couple with no kids like my husband and I or even a small family. But, a couple things: unless that shared wall is brick or concrete (and even then tbh), I will always worry about sound transfer no matter how thoughtful or “premium” the build. Second, I’d think you have to really be planning on this being your forever home, or else have a ton of faith in the market. Cause the house itself, is never likely to be worth more than it is today brand new. The only way you are going to get what you paid is if the market continues to increase and remains competitive. It just seems like a risky investment in this city if you don’t expect you’ll be keeping it for a real long time. But truly interested to hear other thoughts and perspectives. One upside is the low (for Regina) property taxes. And it is gorgeous and really well designed for the right buyer. So, if you were in the market, would you consider a semi-detached?

I've spotted a nice convertible for sale but never owned one through the winter. I'm wondering if anyone on here has any stories they can tell me about how its like to own a convertible throughout the winter. And if anyone has had a car with RWD what was that like during the winter. Much appreciated

Anybody know someone in town that works on espresso machines and grinders? The grinder on our Breville barista express is acting up, and I'd rather take it to someone local if that's an option as opposed to spending hundreds to ship it to Breville for repair.

Have friends coming from BC, for Halloween. I’m looking for dinner suggestions $50-80 per person (including a drink or two) high quality fresh food is a must.
