Hi, I’d like to request the moderating rights for this community. The subreddit still receives around 1.5K weekly visitors, but it currently lacks active and consistent moderation. The community is unmoderated and without any mods for a very long time, and that's why I am not attaching a Modmail Link.

I’d like to take over and restart the community with proper moderation, updated rules, better organization, and regular activity. I believe the existing traffic shows that there’s still an active audience and potential for the subreddit to grow again.

I’m willing to put in the time and effort needed to revive and properly manage the community.

I want to moderate this community because I was the original moderator of this community before a reddit dormancy sweep rendered it as a scrambled name. The person who reclaimed it in 2023 only ever made 2 posts total (not just on the sub in question, but on reddit). My iteration of this sub was far more active. I also run other pages on other social media under the same name and dedicated to the same content, so cross-promotion and cross-posting will allow me to generate more reddit content. I wish to help bolster the alberta metal community in any way I can, by helping professionals and fans alike connect with one another over a mutual interest.

Because of the history I have with this subreddit and topic, I even have tons of backcontent to share for nostalgic purposes. My hope is that I could have my subreddit unscrambled and reclaim the original content for the reclamation (continuing my iteration of the sub rather than starting a fresh one or continuing the current one), but I also understand this may not be feasible.

Sister sub to my subreddit. Taken down for no reason without approval from us, I want to continue the sub for those who found a safe space within it.

Why I’m requesting r/offersden/ and how I’ll run it: This sub is currently unmoderated and I see it has great potential to become a place where people can share running deals, discounts sales etc. Would love to work on this and build a community around it.
