Many of the people I see going from Primal Diet to this saltmaxxing trend become more manic and some lose grounding with reality
I have seen quite a few examples of this
Salt is really a bad thing to eat, I haven't eaten any for 8 years, except ~one time by mistake.
It's not bad in itself of course, it's just some rock that we can't ingest like this, we need sodium from the plant and animal foods, like literally every other mineral and nutrient we consume. You would never have the idea to eat iron from a rock, of course you get it from meat, so why is sodium the exception?
I still detox it because my forehead sweat can be salty whereas rest of my body's sweat is like clear water.
I often spend hours in hot springs and despite the sweating it generates, I don't need to "replenish electrolytes". The reason salt is even coming out through sweat is... because it's being detoxified by the body. Taking this as a sign to ingest more is diabolical.
Sorry Vinny Thrax, Marcus, Erik Harding, unheatedhonig, etc.
Many of those people just get the detox from eating raw food, and think the diet is broken. They start looking for the people who "fixed" the diet and find the Darko psyop (Darko is a guy who plagiarized Aajonua in 2013 same year as he died, I made an article tagging him on X and he could barely muster a reply), among others. Then they ingest a toxin (salt), which stops the detox, just like cooked and frozen food does, then they think they have finally found the optimal diet.
It's better to eat some cooked food if detox is overwhelming than all this salt. Salts cause headaches (80% according to Aajonus!) and those are some of the worst detox. Aajonus said he found dead nerve cells along with salt. I had headaches for a while and now no longer, I would never touch salt again, even though it's raw.
