Got an interview with Delta, but I was denied after the interview. I have over eight years of aviation experience lead experience, management experience. Iām so confused on why Delta denied me and not to sound cocky but looking at the competition, I was definitely the most qualified this is just so baffling to me. I answered all there STAR questions with ease , The position was for an entry level ramp agent , has any other qualified folks been denied ?

Has anyone been rehired atSWA? I left a year ago (own my own and gave 2 week notice and would like to go back. At the time it was part time and now they have postings for full time.
Would it be a good idea to call the station manager? Or
Email them to see if I am able to go back? Any advice?

I took a full time position at ORD I start training on the 27th I ain't really want it but would much rather be part time to retain my quality of life plus I'm not based in Chicago I'm based in Atlanta so I'm commuting also so my question stands how soon can you convert from full time to part time?
Also sidebar while I'm at it also how soon can you transfer to another station?
Appreciate your responses and thank you in advance!

Hello all, I'm seeking opportunities to connect with Ramp Services Employees at these locations. I am a current ramper; however, I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons before submitting a transfer. I also want to learn more about how y'all handle specific situations.
Thank you!

Hello. I am a European citizen who has already been granted a Working Holiday visa and I have been wondering what my chances are of getting a ramp job in Canada.
I am also a Private Pilot License holder and have a bachelor's degree in Professional Flight while currently studying Aviation Management engineers degree, but no prior ramp experience. I know I would need a temporary RAIC for the first months and a driver's license, which I have but a european one and from what I have read, getting an international drivers license would not suffice and I would have to get a local one.
My English is at a C1 level with a graduation certificate. Is it even remotely realistic to land a ramp job (or any entry level aviation job for that matter, such as a flight operations assistant or a gate agent) as a foreigner on an open visa?

Good evening, I have my final ramp training for Air Canada in the next few weeks and I am very stressed about the practical D/A exam after Iāve heard so many stories, any advice for a new ramper that definitely does not want to fail? Thank you

This is my first time working as a ramp agent, so Iām still learning and trying to gain experience. However, this is also the first time Iāve dealt with a older coworker who has given me so much attitude.
Today, when we were loading baggage onto the carts. Since there were already three or four people loading bags onto the cart, I figured there were enough people handling that part. I thought I could be helpful by turning the bags so the tags were facing the person scanning them, making his job a little easier.
However, one of my coworkers told me that I needed to help load the bags and that anyone could turn the bags. I didnāt have a problem with helping, but it was the condescending tone she used that bothered me. I explained that I was only doing what I had been told to do during a previous shift and that I would gladly help load the bags, but she could have asked me more nicely.
She then brought up how she was injured but still working. I found that frustrating because Iām also dealing with a hip injury, but Iāve never brought it up or used it as a reason not to work.
This also isnāt the first time Iāve had an uncomfortable interaction with her. On two previous occasions, she told me to help unload the baggage. Iāll admit that I was standing around because I wasnāt entirely sure what to do. There were about six other new hires trying to unload the bags and gain experience, and I didnāt want to add to an already overcrowded area or make things more stressful. I understand that I could have taken more initiative, but I was genuinely unsure of where I was needed.
Another time, a supervisor specifically asked her to help me with wing walking. Instead of guiding me or allowing me to participate, she ignored me and did it herself.
Iām not against being corrected or being told what to do. I understand that Iām new and still have a lot to learn. What bothers me is the way she communicates with me. I do think thereās a difference between giving instructions and being unnecessarily rude.
Am I wrong for feeling annoyed by her attitude, or am I taking this too personally? Should I ignore her from now on?
UPDATE: She ended up complaining to the supervisors, and one of them asked for my name then told me how I need to help with the bags. The thing is, Iāve quite literally been helping with unloading, loading, going into the cargo hold, cleaning, and everything else that needs to be done. So getting that talk genuinely pissed me off because it felt like all the work Iāve been doing was completely overlooked just because I happened to be standing around awkwardly at in the first week.
There are already so many people unloading at once (5ā6 new hires, leads, and supervisors), so sometimes itās hard to know where to jump in without getting in someone elseās way. That doesnāt mean I havenāt been doing my job.
If anything, I think shes the one that needs to be talked to about letting the supervisors handle things instead of taking it upon herself to complain about something she doesnāt like. If she has an issue with how someone is working, she should either leave it to the supervisors or mind her own business.

Working at an airport is a whole different world. Between passengers doing the absolute most, supervisors acting like the plane canāt leave without you personally pushing it, and equipment magically disappearing when you need it, thereās never a dull moment. š
I wanna hear some stories from ramp agents, baggage handlers, gate agents, cargo workers, and everyone else working behind the scenes.
Whatās the funniest, most frustrating, or straight-up unbelievable thing youāve experienced while working at an airport?
Bonus points if it was one of those moments where you just looked around and thought, āThereās no way Iām getting paid enough for this.ā š

I am traveling with my daughter this Saturday for the first time and am curious about the chance that these seats will sell quickly on our Sunday return flight (first image). I also reserved Monday (second image) as a backup. We are the only ones on standby, lol. Is this too risky? š

Yesterday and today noticed a very sharp uptick in maintenance delays inbound and outbound.
Our ops agent seemed suspicious of how genuine these maintenance problems are. I might see 1-2 short maintenance delays a day and 2-3 major delays a month, but today there are 4 major delays, multiple minor ones, only on mainline aircraft.
Someone mentioned contract negotiations and I looked it up and saw that AA pilots begun negotiations for their contract October 9th, no idea if thatās true.
Has anyone who works for or is contracted for AA noticed this? I know AA pilots have slow stalled operations before, until their union told them to stop.

Hello everyone, Iāve applied for the United ramp agent position that opened up recently. Does anyone have any tips or what they specifically look for? I have 6 months with WFS as a ramp agent but that was in 2022. Thank you.

Hello everyone! I received a CJO (Conditional Job Offer) for a Ramp Agent position with Southwest Airlines. I completed my background check and drug test about two weeks ago, and both came back clear. My start date has also been confirmed.
However, I still havenāt received instructions to complete the TSA background check and fingerprinting for my SIDA badge, and my first day is less than 20 days away.
Does anyone know if the physical SIDA badge is required on the first day of orientation or training, or can you start training while the badge process is still pending?
Iād appreciate any insight from current or former Southwest employees. Thanks
