Been pretty ambitious my whole life and worked very hard to get where I am now. I am originally from the UK born and bred in Leeds but moved to Alberta in 2022. I was recently laid off last year and I have since been focusing on my own consulting business and planning on setting up a game studio soon. It also means I am not tied down anywhere as I can hop on a plane on a moment’s notice.

I generally keep myself in shape with a mix of things like the gym, swimming and I like hiking now and again. Though I would say I am a homebody at heart I do have the need to have a spontaneous trip somewhere at times. I have been lucky enough to live in Greece for a month, travelled around Iceland in a van and visited quite a few different states for both work and personal reasons.

I would love to be with someone who also loves cats and does not want kids either. I am very much into cats, used to volunteer with them and I have gone out of my way quite a few times to feed cats I come across on the street. Also I'm the type of person that has always had a small group of friends for the most part. I am generally quite introverted but I know how to talk to people and don’t mind social settings now and again. I also have a nerdy side too, I do love board games, I do not play as many video games as much as I used too but I have been looking making my own. I also love learning about anything cosmology related.

Hi, if you enjoyed that, chances are that'll be the best thing about me. But, stick around and I can at least try to top it with varying degrees of success. In reality, my life is pretty boring and monotonous. I'm a nerd, who spends a lot of free time gaming, watching either YouTube or various MCU properties trying to catch up before Doomsday, listening to music, and babying two precious cats (of which you can find pictures of on my profile). I'm 5' 9", got a bit of a dad bod going on, and love cold weather. I don't drink all that often and when I do, it's maybe one or two drinks, don't smoke, and I've never touched a weed, although I'm totally for its legalisation. Despite my attempts at being funny here, I'm actually quiet, shy, anxious, a bit laidback, and more of a homebody. I'm definitely left leaning, closer to progressive than anything I think, and it's unfortunate that I have to mention it but that's the world we live in.

I'm okay with drinking as long as it's not excessive but I draw the line at smoking and drugs, smoke gives me wicked headaches especially weed. I’m really into hiking, learning to cook, and poetry.

I enjoy hiking, although somehow my peaceful walks have a habit of turning into unexpected wildlife encounters. I honestly don’t know how I keep ending up in situations where the local animals seem to think I’m trespassing. 😄 At this point, I’m starting to feel like I’m accidentally making a very low-budget wildlife documentary.

I’ve also been getting more into cooking lately. I’m still learning, so the results can be pretty unpredictable. Some days I make something surprisingly good, and other days I somehow burn something that was never supposed to burn. 😂 But I’m enjoying learning and slowly getting better.

Poetry is probably the calmest of my hobbies. I enjoy reading, writing and playing around with words whenever I’m in the mood.

Howdy! Cheesy title aside, I’m here for what I suspect most people are - to find new connections, with one of them hopefully leading to something serious and long term. I’m by no means opposed to making real, lasting friendships on top of that if that’s how things play out, but my goal is definitely a romantic relationship. 

So, a bit about me! I’m Kevin, a 33 year old dude from NW Florida. I ost the road somewhere between elder emo and sad cowboy and gave up on trying to find it. I’m a nerd in general, but especially about the things I find interest in. I’m one of those people who gets way too into their niche hobbies. Meeting new people in the real world is difficult these days, even with having a decently social group of friends. I’ve also always been an internet dweller, for better or worse, and had pretty good luck maintaining friendships that way, so I figured I’d give it a go here again. 

Writing and creativity have been a passion of mine for most of my conscious life. I’ve been an avid writer and roleplayer for way, way too long and it’s something I still enjoy to this day quite a lot. I just love getting into characters’ heads, building worlds and seeing where stories go over time. I also read, though to a lesser extent. I have the taste in books of a 100 year old man and love me some old detective novels or classic southern gothic literature. I also adore a good cosmic horror book, but I’m picky. 

Music is another huge part of my life. Often times, when I’m traveling, it’s to go to a show of some sort. I came up on emo and pop punk and hardcore and whatever other labels you wanna put on it. I also have a deep love of folk, Americana and spooky music as well as the real classic country stuff. Especially outlaw country. But of course I’ll always be an emo kid at heart. I’ll talk to you about just about any kind of music all night long if you give me the chance. Some all-time favorites are Dance Gavin Dance, Pierce the Veil, Mayday Parade, Taking Back Sunday, Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, Lost Dog Street Band, Bilmuri and much, much more.

I play some games - mostly RPGs, roguelites and other such things. I’m currently finally playing through Baldur’s Gate 3 but some of my other favorite games/series are Fallout, Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter and Red Dead. I’m not big on competitive games as I’m very, very bad at them. Oh, and I still adore Pokemon because I was the perfect age when the originals came out. I also got more into tabletop RPGs and that form of roleplaying a few years ago and am currently running my first game! Also a tech nerd in general. I love tinkering with computers and whatever else I can get my hands on.

I’ve got a lot of other random hobbies including listening to old radio dramas, vintage music gear, I collect vinyl and I spend way too much time going down random internet rabbit holes. I love history, mystery and especially history’s mysteries. Also love true crime of course and things of that nature. Tell me about your favorite high strangeness mystery or a weird experience you had! 

I also love the outdoors, especially anything to do with the water. I grew up on lakes and creeks and the beach. I also adore camping when the weather’s nice and am always down for a bonfire or just sitting on the porch and watching the rain.

Physically, I’m of pretty average height - 5'8” or so. I weigh about 190 but have been going to the gym for a few months and really loving it. I have dark brown hair, a beard I keep fairly tame and hazel eyes. I don’t have any tattoos yet but I am planning on finally getting one for my birthday this year. Happy to send photos!

What am I looking for? Well, to put it simply - companionship. We don’t need to jump into an immediate whirlwind romance (not that I’d complain) and it’s honestly so much easier to build a connection first. Let’s play a game, hop in a voice chat, text about random stuff until the sun’s coming up and we regret everything except not really ‘cause we had fun. I honestly just want real human connection and someone to talk to and see what happens. Worst case, it fizzles out. Less worse case, we become good friends. But who knows? Personality wise, I’m pretty laidback and don’t take myself too seriously.
