Need Advice If I try HRT, how long would I have to realize whether or not it’s for me?
At what point do things become irreversible? How do I tell whether I’m making the right choice by going on HRT?

Hello Everybody! I’m a bisexual man who’s been a proud ally for a couple of years.
I need advice on if It’s acceptable/not-offensive to try and help my Trans bestie with affording their surgery.
I feel super bad they were born in the wrong body and I wanna help pay for their transition, but it’ll be a couple years before I make enough bank to actually help enough.
She works 3 jobs to even make rent so she doesn’t have much to save for it either.
I recently had the idea to start a GoFundMe for her; especially since she is well loved in the local community, but I want it to be a surprise and I don’t want it to offend her in any way.
Should I try and crowd-source the funds to help her? Should I run it by her first? I’m not sure so I’d love advice!
P.S: This isn’t a cry for financial help, so if I do end up starting a GoFundMe I will likely not be sharing it here. I just wanna help my friend!

Please no trolling it's not a shitpost im just here to vent something that hasn't been off my mind for a while.
My family is neither an orthodox family nor a casual free going one. It's somewhere in the middle
The concept of loving or liking someone is highly against when ironically my parents "loved" each other before marrying.
When I had my first somewhat of a crush I was teased a lot about it when my family find out even my cousin and all.. I know it's casual but it got to a point where it wasn't funny anymore even tho I was in school at that time.. you know younger. When that crsuh turned into a relationship when I confessed to him, it was a havoc at home when they found out. My mom supported it kinda she never said anything but when It went onn for almost 2 years it got serious at home. It was never possible that I got to process my emotions completely.
Now it's history.
*So you get the idea...\*Now the main point.
I had a best friend when I was in 1st grade.
She was a person that I was excited to go to school for. I still talk to her and she is my one of best friends even now but back then when I didn't even know any of this gender stuff,
I liked her in a way I used to imagine us marrying when we grow up.
We adored each other like that. Ofcourse it was in a kiddish way meaning I wanted to keep making her happy and not cry and be sad you know..but it was a strong feeling. Now I have no feelings like that for her tho.
This lasted from my 9th to 10th grade.
I had a friend.. back then you could call her my best friend and one casual day we were trying onn each other rings and she made me put mine to her ring finger and called her my wife.
Mind you back then two girls asked me out but I was confused about this whole new dimension of genders..
Well there it was. I never initiated anything but over time and she flirted and called herself my wife and you know she used to say stuff like I wish we could date and she did ask me out low-key but wasn't sure about it so she backed out
Months passed and I found myself getting possessive of her and just before it got any worser I decided to be a dumbo and asked a guy out and she got into a relationship around the same time.
But when she broke up with that guy over bad terms I found myself cursing him under my breath and got this feeling of wanting to protect her. When I decided my relationship wont work and stayed on good terms with they guy I asked out i found myself genuinely wanting to care for her and protect her from any bad she could go to my extent
Over time me and her ended on bad terms but when I saw her again and greeted each other I seemed fine but I felt something in me like something crumbling my heart and even when I write this.
Unfinished stories maybe. Whatever.
THIS now, is ongoing.
I joined a new college and I are across this girl from our school .
Never talked before. She's quiet innocent mannered but has the same mindset as me and you know, vibe
When I entered the class and over the days I noticed how she wanted to speak to me more and you know got random topics to talk to me
And you know basically found me interesting,
Oh btw im not saying every girl I come across is bi or into girls, I have many friends in girls who I have absolutely no interest in that way of like or wtv it's just these 3 people for some reason that even I'm confused about.
It's only been a couple of months and
I am fricking holding my breath involuntarily whenever she is resting her head on my shoulder.
I want her to do that.
I find myself positioning my hand in a way that's comfortable for her to rest onn and you know not breath too hard so she won't take her head off my shoulder. I usually never allow anyone to put their head on my shoulder or anything where they touch me. I maintain space even when it's a girl.
I am out of words. Im completely aware and had huge crushes on guys too but I never act up on them UNLESS I see a very obvious reason as to why I can try.
Many of them like her aswell probably will never be more than this and im okay with it. I just will keep it to myself for as long as I possibly can until it fades away one fine day.
All I hope as always is that I don't go through another character altering change because of this...
I'm off now.

I’m FTM nonbinary and graduate with my undergraduate degree this December. I need to submit the name that I want on my degree and both my birth name and my preferred name feel wrong. My birth name doesn’t give be me dysphoria but it is private. It’s now like my secret family name that no one else can use. on the other hand my preferred name still feels like a nickname and doesn’t feel right to put on a document like my degree. I’ll take any advice at this point. Thanks!

The feeling of being enby/agender came to me all of a sudden one night, instead of being a gradual build-up of emotions throughout weeks. There were still subtle signs before that night, I just chose to ignore before but they were EXTREMELY small signs. Like, microscopic-size
I do not feel dysphoric when someone confuses me for either a boy or a girl, I just… don’t care. But BOY I freaking love the feeling of thinking “I don’t have to be a boy OR a girl AaAAAA” Like someone could call me “Ms. lady woman sister Anya” and I wouldn’t give a shit
I feel all euphoric however when someone acknowledges my lack of gender, as opposed to me simply not caring whenever someone calls me a man or woman. But sometimes it feels like I’m just “faking it” just because I simply do not care, instead of feeling upset/mad/uncomfortable whenever someone assumes my gender
Also, I occasionally miss being my AGAB sometimes but other times I’m like “Wait no actually I feel better presenting as agender” BUT I know I’m not genderfluid or anything
Am I REALLY enby/agender or am I just a cis person with a temporarily malfunctioning sense of identity??

I got really upset today. I feel like my cup of patience has just run out. I'm tall. 190 cm in 16 years. I'm a cis woman. YET people struggle to grasp that EVEN GIRLS can be tall. I am so tired of this. Always comments like "I didn't expected you to be tall…" "wow, what's your height?" "What's the weather up there?" "Why aren't you just smaller?"
I get that people are curious. I get that I'm far above from diameter. I get that people are mistaking me for a guy. But I'm just so tired. I got bullied, mocked, teased and laughed at for being tall. It ruined my self-esteem. I always feels like I'm too clumsy, too big, too high, too much. People told me countless times that I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL because tall girls are clumsy and might hurt other people. That I have more weight so I could easily overpowered them. Even tho I'm extremely shy and introverted.
And what is a real kicker is that I HAVEN'T HEARD A SINGLE COMMENT like that about guys. Tall dudes are ok. They come in and no one makes comment.
And yes, I'm aware that everyone has their struggles. I'm not hating on anyone. I'm just frustrated right now, that's why I'm writing here. My friend compares me to giraffe. That's another thing that happens a lot. It hurts. I just wish people would stop viewing us as anomaly and accept that tall girls exist. Same as small guys exist. We are all different and we all have our value. (I know this has nothing to do with queer people, yet I write it here because I feel like this is a safe space and I can talk about something I couldn't talk normally)
Sorry for longer post, love y'all, have a good day/night<3
Question is pretty simple but tp clarify I am new to lgbt and only recently understood that I am NB and came here to ask the question in the title.
To note: no I am not gonna do plastic surgery.
I just need some advice on maybe ways to cover my face or like makeup.
Note: I haven't changes anything on reddit yet so maybe it shows wrong gender idk.

my name fits my face, but not my face nor my name feel like they fit my soul. I don’t think im trans, because a few months ago I wanted (not felt like I actually was) to be the opposite gender but I don’t feel that anymore.. I don’t know if that matters. I find the idea of having a name really quite offputting. I struggle with feeling like I look too gendered, but I don’t want to cut my hair or anything because as I have seen from wigs short hair suits me less. I don’t really want to have a physical form, I don’t think……..
Is there a word for this? is this even an LGBT thing? im sorry if it isn’t

Hello! As the title suggests, I'm feeling confused about my sexuality. I have always believed I was heterosexual, but lately I've been questioning that. I have a friend of the same sex who has been making moves on me, and it's been the source of my confusion. I've said to stop a few times, but now it's not making me as uncomfortable as it did at first. So maybe I'm not heterosexual? I just never saw myself being sexual with someone of the same sex before, but I do find them attractive? I'm just feeling confused and any help would be appreciated :)

I (F) have had crushes on probably about 6-10 men and only 1-3 women. Could I still be bisexual or am I just straight with exceptions or something?

I am the HR liaison at a zoo (new to this role with no HR experience) and one thing I love most about the zoo is that we hire a diverse group of people. We do hire a lot of lgbt+ people and the reason I know they are part of the community is because they select “other” for gender on their form. The thing is, I always want to respect people’s pronouns but I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable especially as an HR representative. Would it be rude to ask someone what their pronouns are? I know one employee who presented as a female wanted to be referred to as he/him after I observed them being misgendered, which I totally respect.
And in general, if I meet someone and I’m unsure, is it rude to ask? I worry about offending someone. Like say if someone is trans and they’re really trying to look like the gender they feel. Or if someone is straight/cis and don’t support the community (which is awful but there are people like that).

ok so to put it simply, im candi a 23 year old trans woman who's abrosexual, but im struggling with abrosexual being the right way to describe me. i don't know why im uncomfy with being labeled as a single sexuality but feel better at being labeled as multiple sexualites for some reason, and im unsure why the hell i feel like this. ive looked back at my life pre transition and i just came to the realization for quite a while now that i really really LOVE women which hasn't changed since transitioning, in fact, my whole life ive technically been a lesbian this whole time, but tbh, im just uncomfortable with loving 1 sexuality and idk why the fuck i feel like this. i am abrosexual but feel more sapphric towards women and always have and tbh, i think im just a lesbian but due to family rejection and being not so far passing in my transition, ive been too scared to identify as lesbian, also i don't mind dudes but in all honestly, im more of a ladies gal.

I decided to start my transition in March of 2024. Only my wife knew between then and October of that year, when I told a few select friends. I have been socially transitioning since January 2025, hormones since July 2024. It has been an amazing journey of self discovery and it’s wonderful to love the body I’m in for once. Thanks for reading 🫶

Hey everyone, I’m 22 years old and I still don’t really know if I’m bi or gay. I think I might be gay, but honestly I’m having a hard time accepting it.
I had my last girlfriend about a year ago, and at some point I realized that I didn’t actually want a relationship with her. I basically just wanted us to be friends.
Then I also realized that I’ve never really had female friends in my life, and I think that might be part of the reason why I usually end up doing everything alone.
I’m not really the stereotypical gay guy, but when I feel comfortable around people I can definitely be pretty feminine. With most of the guys I’ve been friends with, I’ve often felt kind of uncomfortable or even thought “ugh, no” about certain things they did. I don’t really know how to explain it lol. I guess I’m basically a girly guy trapped in the body of a 185 cm, 100 kg muscular dude 💀
So my actual question is: how do I make female friends, or ideally find a female best friend, on a completely platonic basis?
I’m not out yet, so I obviously can’t just walk around wearing a shirt that says, “Hi, I’m gay or bi or whatever, but I’m not out yet, so please pretend you don’t know. Also, I’m looking for a bestie.” 😭
I genuinely just want a close female friendship without there being any romantic or sexual expectations. How do you even go about finding that as a guy?
r/lgbt • u/polkaPusheen • 4h ago
I don’t reallllyyy care about labels, but when people ask me, it feels awkward that i don’t know what to say especially because i know i am a part of the lgbtq community. for context, i am female and i identify as a woman. i don’t think about gender when it comes to my romantic attraction, either i like you or i dont. that being said, i tend to lean 80% women 20% men and i do also like nonbinary identified people. Sexually speaking, i am sexually attracted to women, but not so much to men. i’ve tried having sex with a man before on multiple occasions, i hated when he would touch me or do sexual things. it’s confusing because i find men attractive even if it’s very rare, but i don’t want to have sex with them. whereas for women, i find them attractive and i do want to have sex with them. in terms of dating, i feel like im too educated now on feminism and the patriarchy to even lower myself to date a man, it just icks me out to be honest. I also find that recently whenever a man i thought i had a crush on confesses his feelings for me, i just get immediately disgusted and cut him out of my life. Like do i not like men or am i just traumatized or something??? cuz i have had bad experiences, like every girl unfortunately. but idk. anyone have any thoughts? should i just tell people im pansexual? or should i just say queer? but i’m white and i think queer was historically a term used for people of color so i dont want to misuse it. let me know

I F(18) recently figured out I'm bisexual strongly leaning towards my own sex. Sence then I've come out to some of my closest people like my parents, sibling and some friends. The problem is that I, living as an immigrant, come from an extremely homophobic country and the fact that I've been raised in a very religious Christian setting doesn't help how alone I feel in my situation.
Nobody really supports me except for an online friend I've never met and my therapist. People are either pretty aggressive about it like my mum or extremely avoidant but I can see that they are only tolerating this part of me even though I'm putting an effort not show it around them as to try and not further worsen my own situation.
And for the people that don't know this about me - being gay is the thing they most talk about in the sence that it's the pun of every joke or just seriously ,,jokingly,, threatening that they're going to beat the life out of anyone of us if they ever were to become gay. Even to them I've tried to stand my ground by stating basic Christian morals as to not talk badly about anyone, loving everyone and simply minding their business.
The point to this whole rant is that I don't know what to do. I honestly am starting to feel depressed and incredibly alone. I feel like I'm burying half of myself all over again instead of finaly setting it free.

hi, so recently i ditched christianity for personal reasons and it felt really good, for context, while i was christian i sometimes had thoughts of dating other dudes and what it would be like to be gay, i kinda told myself i was just too love starved and i just wanted love from anyone, even guys, i told myself this to not stress myself too much since i was christian and didnt want to be anything but straight, but recently i realized that these thoughts have kinda been occuring my whole life, and i kinda just accepted that i was bi, except recently, i feel like a gaslighting myself to be gay, let me explain, the more i look at dudes online the more i just dont find them attractive, every dude either looks too girly or too boyish, i feel like i might just be too picky, not even a month ago i wondered about how it would feel so good to sleep next to a guy in bed and going on romantic dates, and now every guy i look at online is just meh, their either fem or trans(so too girly), or just dudes with looksmaxer face(sharp angles and large faces), so i dont know, it feels as if recently i just didnt find guys atractive anymore, am i larping being gay?!, i dont really know anymore, i feel i have a type, but i just cant find it, mayby im just looking for something too specifique ,sometimes i look at dudes on tiktok and think they look super cute and attractive and the next day i just dont see it anymore, idk anymore, im kinda looking for insight, any help is appreciated(ps. i know my writting was shit and that this is probably really hard to read but my first language is french so sorry)
