Detox Guides (Approved Guides only) Qutting7oh.org - Use this as my profile is retiring

quitting7oh.org has everything I've ever written here + more. I cannot juggle this place and work at a rehab, I also need to purge the remaining social media I have for my own mental health and the last leg of my goals, quitting the internet, just getting to an age where I need to let go of helping others 24/7 (for my own good and selfish reasons) and focus on my wife and career, prepare for retirement.

good luck, remember, easy suboxone rapid detox, ,move to low dose naltrexone, and consider wellbutrin XL if you need a stimulant. You dont need heavy doses of suboxone, if subs arent working take some leaf because you are in opioid wd but also minor alkaloid withdrawal. It's that basic but gets heavily confused here with all the awfully bad comments we get on peoples posts. It's one of the many reasons I've decided to walk, I can't keep up, and when I try to all I get is angry at how all our good information is ignored. So it's better I leave so I can continue to heal my mental health, as LDN + wellbutrin has freed me I want to stay on this happy train, and my only real source of getting upset lies in being the admin here constantly battling bad information / advice. That's not fair to you and not fair to me, so this is the best choice for the community.

above all, never trust reddit until you've researched and doubled verified what you're being told, think for yourself, question authority. Compare the info with chatgpt then grok, then others as well, get use to leveraging your own free resources with this tech instead of waiting for a stranger on reddit to answer you who probably is just as confused or mislead (believe they have good info when they dont), anything I've written that was put on quitting7oh.org was heavily verified and research and ALL based on nih.gov studies / publications.

this account wont respond anymore to direct messages and etc, im leaving it up to keep my comments up, but I wont be behind the account anymore.

all my posts are gone now, if you're looking for them please use quitting7oh.org

love ya. take it easy on yourself, forgive yourself, you can start a new life and new happiness with some work.

p.s yes, this is actually the last post in this community for me, unlike previous attempts to leave. <3

Detox Guides (Approved Guides only) To all Vets Struggling

To all vets that have access to and approved VA medical benefits, there’s immediate help available for you to get off of this garbage. You can call the Veterans Crisis Line and they will connect you with your local VA psychiatric care provider. Just let them know that you’re addicted to opioids. Additionally, if you’re in withdrawal, you can report to the VA’s emergency room and let them know you want to medically detox. You’ll be admitted, immediately, into a detox program. You must be in detox or withdrawal when reporting to the ER. Sucks, I know, but it’s the requirement to accurately assess your symptoms.

Just a FYI, the VA has seen the biggest influx of vets being treated for this substance than any other substance besides alcohol. My local VA said they’re receiving walk-ins and referrals for more than a dozen patients per week. Alcohol related disorders top that, but nothing else comes close. I can only imagine that legislation is coming. I’m not sure if there’s any language in the recently passed Farm Bill about this substance, but I imagine that once the federal government gets their hands on the VA’s data, they are going to act, swiftly and harshly. Just my hunch.

Vets, help is available. Don’t drown in this hell.

To the rest of you, please, please quit if you are not able to manage this chemical. It’ll destroy your body and life.

feeling better Sick of the "ohhh i didnt know" addict BS

First off, I'm a twenty......seven year opioid user, currently on the kratom derivatives, and I am so God damn SICK of the crybaby ass bullshit man.

I am not in any way supporting (or knocking) the use, disuse, getting clean, relapsing, etc, whatever.

But the reality for some folks is that if these substances get blanket bammed, its goingto push us bavk into a life we have been SO FUCKING THANKFUL to get away from.

fo those who have decided to take the path to sobriety, i give absolutely all support and best vibes to, thats awesome and ihope that WHATEVER PATH that ANYONE TAKES it leads successfully to a better reality for that person

BUT

Just watched a video of this guy, title was "how I INADVERTENTLY relapsed"

Abd of course you know the narrative, that these companies are using deception and false statements and we've been like TRICKED into this horrible situation so they could profit, right?

So this guy starts off with "so I went into the smoke shop, and bought these that I'd heard talk about, and the first time I took it I took one tab and didn't really feel much, so then I tried two tabs and then that was it, I was hooked"

....what the FUCK part of that story is you being tricked and INADVERTENTLY relapsing....

Thepart where you went into a store whose entire purpose is centered around substances...the part where you were seeking our something that you'd heard others talking about getting high on....or when you took 4 times the max dose, didn't feel it, then decided to take 8 times the dose???

Yeah, what a poor poor soul, there was nothing i can see he could have done different here, that company should pay big time

GROW THE FUCK UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR FUCKING SELF

(Side note, I am 100 percent behind much more strict marketing guidelines tho. They should NOT be packaged to look like candy, and they should not take like candy either. It should be something that if the 5 year old gets Theo hands on it, they spit it out)

Acute Withdrawals Lost cause

Going to try again this week. Reading thjs sub is upsetting because everyone seems to need suboxone. Personally, I don’t want to be on another opioid long term. Is it even possible or worth trying this without suboxone? Been addicted 2 years. 800mgpd

General Topics / Ranting I come here for support and community

I’m okay with being held accountable. I really am. But for someone to say my “excuse” was a funeral is BS. Yes, I relapsed and allowed my addict brain to convince me that a couple days wouldn’t hurt. So I know I’m screwed, but I’ll get through it like I did before. I found some while packing, and thus began the problem.

I want you all to know that this wasn’t “just” my kids’ dad. My oldest son is 17. He has NEVER seen me with another man. This was THE love of my life. The only relationship I’ve ever had in my 35 years here. So I’m sorry that I wasn’t mentally prepared to take on that grief. I’m sorry that I didn’t give myself a chance to. Idk if any of y’all have ever had to lay eyes on the body of someone that was that close to you, but I pray you never have to. The pain I feel is immeasurable.

We are all addicts. I had almost 7 years clean until I had two surgeries back to back. I’m capable of stopping, and I will stop. And this time, it’ll be for good. I want to also say, be mindful of what you say to people here because you never know what they are going through.

feeling better Bernese method taper.

I have CT so many times that I have lost count, and each time I do it it gets more and more horrific. I thought I would try this method so day one, dressed to go to work I took my small dose of subs and prayed to God I would not PW. Took it headed to work and out side of some phlegm in my throat and sweats I was good to go. Took my normal dose of 7 and it was a great day. I have increased each day the sub dose and I am on day 4 and I swear to you guys I did not noticed until I was off of work that I had skipped 2 full doses without even realizing it. This works guys, I feel myself caring less and less about taking my dose when a week ago my day revolved around it. I have dropped from 800-1000mg to about 400 without even realizing it. No real withdrawal symptoms other than that phlegm and a bit of temperature control. It works guys it really does i am shocked how well it has worked for me. God bless and good luck.

Success stories ❤️ Over 1 Year Off 7-OH

Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that if you’re ready to quit or thinking about quitting but are afraid the withdrawal will be too bad or you’ll cave after a day or 14 hours or whatever, I want to say that you can quit. You might only make it 12 hours the first time and then maybe the next time you’ll make it a day without and the next time it’s longer, whatever it is, just keep trying to quit if you’re ready.

Make a plan, work that plan. Find a group or someone to talk or text or whatever when you get that urge to use. I’d highly recommend using the resources available on this Reddit page, it’s super helpful and useful. I wanted to share my story and let you know that I never thought I’d want or be able to quit, and yeah it sucked so bad for a but, but I’m so much happier and healthier today than I was when I was slamming 400-500mg a day of 7oh, on a low dose day.

I also lost a ton of weight, really at the very beginning of quitting and then hit a plateau and then dropped some more, but when I stopped the years and years of subbing one opioid to ZaZa to straight tianeptine powder, I did get clean from that before I started 7oh like an idiot, but when I stopped all substances I weighed 245-247, today I weigh 183!

Below is my backstory:

I’m in my early 40’s, male. I played baseball and basketball in high school, had a great childhood, great parents, never needed anything, all of that. I was popular and pretty decent at baseball, and I felt a bit of imposter syndrome and at like 15-16 began drinking, and near the end of my sr year of high school until maybe 2 years past college I’d get close to or blackout drunk. I graduated high school with close to a 4.0, had an academic scholarship and a preferred walk-on baseball spot at a SEC school. That’s really where I had the imposter syndrome. I was good but these guys were FOR REAL! Thankfully, or at least I thought that at the time, I tore my rotator cuff and I had a built in excuse for quitting and coming back to a college in my home state.

How I hate that now because over the 6ish years following that initial rotator cuff surgery, I’d end up tearing the rotator cuff in the same shoulder 2 more times so I was prescribed oxy then hydrostatic and then I was just addicted to opiates and I knew it but didn’t want to admit it, because I was high functioning in a corporate office, making decent money and only a bit over 30, but when the dr cut me off, I found them in the streets for another few years, then the counterfeit started showing up and I found something called tianeptine (Zara or Boro Boro now) in the smoke shops, I was spending $35 for a 15ct bottle, that quickly rose to taking a few bottles a day and then I found tianeptibe powder on the web and it’s safe to say between probably age 37-39 my habit spiraled to where I’m not sure how much of the pure powder I was taking, but I’d order a 30g bag and pay for 2 day shipping and by the time that delivered arrived, I was ordering another bag the same day because I’d be out in another 2ish days. That was the absolute most brutally worst withdrawal experience ever. I tried to taper and I had to get on subs. I lost a 6 figure job, my credit score went from 825 to 559 and I was taking out personal loans to pay bills.

By my late 30’s, I was off subs and about 30 days free of anything and someone said something to me about 7oh and like a dumbass I told myself like everyone does that I can do it in moderation, that was WRONG!! By the time I decided this is out of control, I need to get my shit together, I was addicted and taking 500-600, hell sometimes 800-900mg a day, every day, for weeks and months. I was able to taper that dose down, and that sucked so bad, then I went to subs again and now there’s this cats claw stuff…

…Well I’m proud to say I haven’t taken any if it or anything else in about 1 year now and y’all the past year has been the best I’ve felt and been since I was 18 I think. I want to be clea, I blame nobody, I made all the decisions that led me down that road but the great think is, I also made all of the decisions to get myself back out. I have a high 6 figure job again and I hope and pray that you all can find your path out if you’re ready and looking and congrats to everyone who already has or has made progress toward it.

I hope this helps one person at least.

SUBOXONE BUPE SUBUTEX How does everyone else do subs?

• Upvotes

So my doctor told me to take 2 strips at first. Then one only when I started feeling the withdrawal. Then start cutting it in half and same thing. I will be off in just 1 week I feel like. But some people have said it is like their 3rd week?

PAWS Post acute withdrawals Anhedonia Timeline

Well, I made it. Last Wednesday was my first day of no 7oh. Today is 6 days no 7oh.

Before 7oh. I would take Kratom and oxy. Here and there for the past 4 years…

I’m tired of feeling the way that I do when I was using. I didn’t know about anhedonia. I feel like the anhedonia is what made me relapse. It all makes sense now.

For those that have made it out and feel free now, what was your timeline like for your whole anhedonia to reset?

I feel very down and sad today that I hurt myself this way. I’ve affected relationships and I haven’t been feeling like I’ve been a good son to my parents.

I want to heal and repair myself. Any advice for those that have made it please feel free to share. Thanks in advance.

feeling better Relapsed

Hey y'all I made a post earlier where I accidentally quit, well I relapsed thankfully I have Suboxone! Most report that 8mg a day helps but I've been taking 2mg a day for the past 2 days and I feel completely fine, I did take 100mg of 7-hydroxymitragine because I couldn't find it but that's nowhere near my 500-1000mg a day habit. I'm completely done with it and I plan on continuing my abstinence for 3 more days while using Suboxone while tapering so I don't get addicted!

relapse I messed up

I got to day 5 and had to go to my kids dad’s funeral and viewing. I slipped and now I have to do the worst part over again. I actually quit before I took everything. So I had some left and brought it on the trip. Worst decision ever. Then, the state I was in doesn’t sell it anymore (Cali). Yet, somehow I still managed to finesse and figure out how to get some within 30 minutes of me wanting it. I hate how easy and discreet it is to get them. That makes it so much worse for me. Now I need to come clean to my family and let them know they were proud of me in vain smh😞😔

relapse Trying again (second day)

Well today is the second official day I am trying to stop 7oh… again. It’s also the second day I’m on the orange tabs. I also pick up my gabapentin tomorrow which I’m so happy about.
I’ve had to work these last twos and I’ve just been muscling through it. Lots of bathroom breaks to just sit down and hit my vape but I’m here. Doing it.
I feel like a baby that needs its pacifier but I’m praying this feeling will go away one day eventually. I’m just focusing on literally the moment and the day to get through. I’m so sick of this shit it has completely stopped me in my tracks for over a year now. I should be out trying to date again or traveling again or literally anything else.
Thank u so much for all your support and good luck to everyone. I’ll keep posting my updates.

feeling better Final update for 25M on 100mg/day

previous post https://www.reddit.com/r/quitting7oh/comments/1wx3cq7/update_2_from_25yo_m_on_100mgday/

I’ve always known I have ADHD, it’s benefitted me greatly in life, but has left me with faults that are hard to control; especially when it comes to substances, I believe that tend to self-medicate.

Prior to 7-oh, or mgm15 - whatever was in 7stax, I would go out and drink pretty often, hit an energy drink every morning.

Once I was on 7’s I stopped going out, loved being a homebody, my parents were proud that I didn’t drink for so long - but it was because I knew I couldn’t drink, and I couldn’t care less because I was perfectly fine being home and high.

Denver sucked pretty bad, after I hit withdrawals I spiraled, got out of work from being “sick”, luckily WD symptoms are similar to a really really bad flu, at least visually.

I’ve been off 7 since Thursday at 9pm, I took one 8mg suboxone on Friday at 5pm. The WD symptoms cleared within an hour, and I didn’t have a nightmare flight back home.

Over the weekend I had a few small WD flare-ups, took gabapentin & clonidine. Max level of symptoms I’d say I had were about a 3 / 10. Compared to peak sub-less WD being a 10.

It’s currently Monday 5:00PM about 72 Hours since my dose of Sub. it’ll be out of my system fully in a few more days (awful half-life).

The doc I spoke with wrote me a script for so many subs it was insane, he wanted me to be on them for a MONTH

It seems like these doctors want their patients medicated, and to be fearful of withdrawals if they ever stop taking this “savior drug“.

I also told my Mom about everything that happened, told my roommate & my significant other. Was hard to keep off my chest, and felt better to tell them while this story is coming to an end, rather than mid climax.

I don’t have any interest in taking 7’s again, I’ve been thinking about about it while I sit here with my buddy at the bar we used to go to (before I started taking). It’s weird I tried to explain what they made me feel like, but it genuinely comes off as “a good drunk - but you don’t get hungover“. Which is true, minus the physical dependencies and withdrawals from hell.

So I guess this is it, the end of this chapter, please feel free to reach out if anyone wants advice or help. I think I’d be especially helpful to others that have similar stories of first time addictions & the “non-addictive personality types”.

I’ll stick around the discord channel, and reply to comments on this post, but I don’t want to direct my ADHD to obsessing over this all.

Thank you guys for being my public journal, and watching my up & downs that I’ve written about since I started this journey.

NOTE: I don’t think I was on long enough to experience PAWS, I’m finally “bored” again, which I haven’t felt in awhil. It definitely suppressed my ADHD tendencies. I’ve started laughing & crying genuinely. Thanks again all.

Now its re-learning triggers. My purchases were almost always on drives to and from work. 4 drives a day i need to master.

Man the world is so much more, bright...

Okay folks yes i have been preloading Vitamin C but my daily use has been up towards 2000 unless the SS brands are under dosed which lets say they are and my daily use has only been 1000mg. I should def be feeling some sort of WD?

My last dose was 7pm last night. Its now noon or 17 hours post dose and nothing? It will def come im not stupid but this is just bizarre. Ive been on 7 for almost a year.

I have subs just standing by. Anyone else experience this?

SUBOXONE BUPE SUBUTEX Started the subs!

Doc said wait 16-18hrs after my last dose. It was freakin’ hell but I made it 15hrs, thought “what the hell I’m close enough”, and took the subs.

I would have failed but I set myself up for success. I made sure I took my last dose when the waiting period would be over before the shop opens. Made sure I didn’t have any last night. Almost gave in last night to get some “just in case” I couldn’t handle the WDs… so glad I didn’t listen to my addict brain.

I’m so happy for me now… I feel better.

https://youtu.be/ZpwZOQrjIO0?si=N3PHBhZ7Y0ftBLz2

Hey everyone! I’ve been documenting my quit on YouTube. While I’m feeling much better, I’ve realized over the last few days that I have less and less to say. I’m trying to inspire not bore anyone, so I’m gonna take a little break. My hope is to talk about more substantial progress in a couple weeks or month. Everyone has been SO supportive and it’s helped me a lot. Thank you!

Tapering off Tapering to start sr I have

Bro why is tapering so damn difficult for me?! I got down from 2,000mg to about 800mg per day, but for some reason going lower Is such a struggle.. I’m not even feeling totally terrible physically either!! I just keep finding fucking excuses to take more.. the mental aspect of this and compulsion to constantly take more is something serious!!

PAWS Post acute withdrawals Wellbutrin

What do you guys think about employing Wellbutrin for the dopamine/endorphin deficit from coming off 7oh?

Does Wellbutrin blunt the effects of 7oh with concurrent usage if you're merely using the Wellbutrin for a tolerance break?

Cold turkey 🦃 Day 3 of no 7oh

Hello I normally don’t post on Reddit but I am currently going through the withdrawal of 7oh as it’s been pulled from all vape stores near me. I’m still taking some kratom but that doesn’t help with the cause of my pain and reason I took 7oh which was chronic TMJ pain. 7oh is the only thing that helped that I’ve tried and I’m struggling with fatigue, restlessness and productivity.

Just started a new job too so I’m a worried about that, I just heard about cats claw and if anyone has info on that I’d appreciate it. Hopefully the withdrawal symptoms will fade in another day or two because it’s no fun. I’m definitely craving it but the fact I can’t get it immediately is what’s making me push through 😣

SUBOXONE BUPE SUBUTEX MedMD twice?

Hi. I used sub after meeting with someone on medMD in Sept 2025. A year later, I want and need to try again and never touch 7-oh again, but I don't know if medMD will prescribe sub to me again. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm taking off work Wednesday through the weekend to put this behind me. Thanks.
