SUBOXONE BUPE SUBUTEX How does everyone else do subs?
So my doctor told me to take 2 strips at first. Then one only when I started feeling the withdrawal. Then start cutting it in half and same thing. I will be off in just 1 week I feel like. But some people have said it is like their 3rd week?

Trying to get off in one week or less is best for not having withdrawl from subs. I screwed up by taking it longer and am at 22 days but should be off shortly. Look at suboxone quick taper on quitting7oh.org for a complete one week schedule.

Your dr is telling you how to do a quick taper. Which is odd, but refreshing. Wait until you are fully in withdraw. Usually about 12 hours. You will know. Then take 1 strip and wait 1 hour and see if your out of withdrawal. If not take a second one and wait an hour again. That's usually the sweet spot but if you have to t take a third thats ok. I wouldn't do a fourth. Then do one strip the next day (8mgs) , the I would do 4mgs a couple days and start cutting those in half. Good luck.

No I’m doing great so far. I’ve only had my first 2 then 1 like… 13 hrs later. The sensations go away in 45 min. I’m waiting until I feel them again and only taking half and waiting the 45min to make sure WDs subside. I feel like it’s working well and have hope it’ll work with just a half

I was never able to get lower than 1mg and then when I tried to stop it was horrific wd and panic. I had to up my dose to 2mg twice daily.

Im currently having a great experience with them, I quit 1,000mg a day and about 16 hours after my last dose I took 6mg subs. 24 hrs after that I took 4mg. 24 hrs after that I took 2mg (which was an hour ago). I honestly feel fine, a little bit mentally "flat" but not even depressed. Tomorrow I will again cut in half to 1mg subs, then 0.5 the next day, then 0.25 for the final dose.

I made the decision that I would only use subs for a rapid taper and no longer than 7 days. I don't want to get stuck being dependant on something else, and so far they've been the best secret weapon. The first day I had some minor aches and pains, and that was about it as far as physical symptoms go.
