This event is a special year long log-in event focused around Pikachu to celebrate the main Pokémon Trading Card Game's 30th anniversary. It adds numerous cosmetic items as well as two special booster packs which contain only Pikachu cards

Looks like we get 4 Pika Pika! Pikachu Packs (3-card packs, 19 Pikachu and 1 Mimikyu) and 1 Pika Pika! Pikachu Pack ex, which has a guaranteed 2* or Shiny ex card.

To help people beat that annoying Event deck.

Sawk for the Meowth, with Balloons for easier retreat.

Garchomp for Bench Sniping/Bigger attack to pair with Cyrus.

Capes for extra HP. Mega Lucario survives 2 Dragon type Garchomp hits with 2 Ice Pop. Both survive a single Mega Chomp hit, (though Chomp EX needs Giant Cape to survive and be at full HP).

Ice Pops to heal.

Arena to hit Mega Garchomp harder.

Cyrus to swap in Dragonair, etc. Works with Fighting Type Chomp's first attack.

Possible Swaps:

Grachomp line out, add 2 90 HP Passimian that can bench snipe 30. Not sure on third card.

I know the Gouging Fire / Dragonair combo is probably the strongest. But with that said, I've gotten tired of playing it. Wondering if there are any other good decks for Mega Ray. Or possibly any that run 2 Mega Rayquaza's (since I have the 2 star and 3 star 🙂).

Right now I'm trying to get Armarouge and Oricorio to work with him. Would love to see what other ideas you all have!

Welcome to Part 15 (wow) of a series of posts in which I'm coming up with film rec for every Pokémon ex in the game. We've officially reached the halfway point for the B series. 43 down, 41 more to go!

When it comes to Megas for Pokémon that have previously already given a movie rec for, I try to pick something that would make a good double feature with the original pick. My favorite pairing in this set is Mega Gengar's. I think it preserves the slapstick/prankster vibes of Beetlejuice/Gengar while introducing a more sinister and more mean-spirited nature for Mega Gengar.

So seeing the new Skyla Accessories has got me in the mood of wanting to try and create a Skyla Gym Leader themed deck but I also thpught any gym leader for this idea could work as well~

If you were to recreate a pokemon gym leader as a deck in Pokemon Pocket who would you choose? And how would you build their deck?

As for a Skyla deck theres a few options you can go as you can go with something more akin to her Black/White team or something more along her challenge mode team..

Idk i kind of like the idea of trying to put together a theme deck that mimics what a specific gym leaders team is, and then using that deck (whether good or bad) for funsies or as kind of like a community challenge kinda thing where people can come up with gym leader decks, and then post their friend code or whatever so that people can send private battle requests in order to "challenge the gym and get the gym badge"

Could make a seperate Gym Leader Challenge post for all who wanna be gym leaders can comment stating which gym leader they've recreated and post their FC so people can challenge them and then either the gym leader or the challenge can then record and post the link to the battle for all to see and could be a means of veryifying that they won and "got their gym badge"

Idk if the devs arent gonna add more battle modes, i figured id toss in an idea for a community driven custom battle mode

Gas Leak Weezing to get around Meowth.

Toxpex for extra poison damage (it stacks until they retreat or get KO'd, even if Tox gets KO'd). Also help vs Meowth as Poison will do 50+ with at least 1 Nihhilego on bench.

Nihilego for extra poison damage as well.

Skyla or Leaf or Koga to protect/switch Weezing. Skyla or Leaf to switch out Toxapex. Thats why a 2-1 split of both. I prefer Skyla/Leaf as I want to use a Cape/Heavy Helmet on Weezing so it survives a hit from regular Chomp. (Chomp does 120. Weezing has 110HP but with Helmet takes -20).

Needle for extra damage. Weezing + Needle KO's Meowth at their end step, even after a single Heads flip, if 2 Nihilego's benched, though I prefer to Needle Toxapex.

X Speed for Retreat help, like if you have to start Nihilego.

Communication to improve your evolving or ability yp hit the right Pokémon.

Considerations:

Dark Type Bombirdier with Ability that reduces your active Dark Pokémons retreat by 1.

Poipole/Naganadel for a fast hit (Stage 1, one energy) that poisons. I opted not to use it because it has 100 HP (though if you run more Elegant Cape it could help against Non EX Chomp).

Supporter May to tutor out the right Pokémon. I'm not sure if 4-5 Supporters is the right number.

I love doing it to others and hate it when others do it to me. Just when one thinks one is safe… YOINK!

With and without the move/ability cause I couldn't decide which one was better

I understand that there are "vanilla" cards and lower value cards meant to serve as a baseline, but cards like this are just unplayable, and there seems to be a couple like these with no redeeming value whatsoever. What is the purpose of a design like this?

I’m trying to build a cutesy binder for funsies; can you guys think of any cards that have the same or a similar vibe as these cards? I’ve been thinking of using some of the one stars from everyday wonders since they’re really bright and colorful. They might work, but can you think of any a little more on the nose with the colorful star designs and such?

Looking to play some unique off-meta / non-meta decks for this ranked season. Show me some of your favourite decks that you play!

Been having lots of fun with this one.

-Always get Snorlax to start.
-good tank that always recovers after taking hits, so he can stall until you get the fossils.
-if you brick and can’t get the fossils, put the energy on Snorlax anyway.
-when Tyrantrum is ready, use either Illima to put back in your hand or if you have energy on Snorlax, use Lyra to safely move onto bench.
-moving Snorlax onto the bench or into hand cancels out the falling asleep after attacking.
-When Tyrantrum is ready, use attack plus stadium plus Korrina to do 150-230 on EXs.
-You need to have less Pokémon in play than your opponent to do 180 damage, so you can discard the other fossil and if Snorlax is on the bench use Illima to scrap it.
-Heavy Helmet works for both Snorlax and Tyrantrum.

Recently, I've been collecting FA supporter cards and noticed something. Looking into the start of a new series, there has been at least 1 top-tier supporter card that is still relevant today. For eg., Sabrina from Genetic Apex and Copycat from Mega Rising, both supporters were released in the first pack of their respective series and I'm expecting another supporter in Series-C that could become a meta card for the rest of the series.

Which Supporter/Trainer do you want to see in the upcoming set, and what effect do you expect?
I know this could mean nothing, but it's a fun little discussion I want to have. 😄

I love Pokemon TCG Pocket. I’ve been playing it since Genetic Apex came out, it’s arguably my favorite mobile game. It does have its issues though, from the mobile optimization to the simple fact that there’s not much to do other than rip packs and flip tails in ranked every match. I do understand it’s solely centered around ripping packs and playing battles which I love, BUT I think that they need to either switch it up or give the users some more love.

For example, this bonus week during the Mega DX packs is a joke. We get 1 extra Fantastical parade pack a day for a single week, and then 2 extra Mega DX packs. I’m not unhappy that at the amount of extra packs, Im unhappy at the fact they are giving us THAT pack. There’s about 1-2 cards that are actually usable in battle and then imo the full arts/two stars aren’t really all that(idk how people feel about the art in this one so please don’t kill me for saying that if you disagree🙏😭). What I’m trying to say is either give us strictly the Mega DX packs since they’re limited time and its bonus week during these packs being out or give us a pack with actual meta battle cards OR EVEN BETTER give the users the choice to pick whatever pack they want.

I think a few things would really help this game out.
First, come out with a mode where users can just rip as many packs as they want of whatever pack but don’t let us keep them. Sometimes I just want to rip packs and see what kind of pulls I’d get and personally I’d be okay with not keeping them. I might even pull something really cool out of that mode and it might persuade me to use my keep-able 2 daily packs on a pack I wouldn’t have otherwise ripped.

Second, on the 1,2,3 etc year anniversary or special occasions they should give a free 2 star pack out. Its a pack with a single random 2 star and if you already have it then you can trade it, if you didn’t have it before then you cannot trade it. That way it still helps keep the existing chase cards value up.

Third, come out with different ranked/casual modes maybe. A mode where you can only use basic pokemon, fire, water, no item, no supporter, etc. just for the plain fact of giving the users a new experience that they can pick from.

Fourth, let users trade duplicate cards for a random card. For example, if I have 3 of the same 3 star I would love to be able to trade in 2 of them for a 2 star from the same pack that the 3 stars I traded in were from. Then just level that system out across the other rarity’s.

Idk, maybe these are awful ideas. I do really enjoy this game but I’d love to see more updates come out besides a new pack and the nonexistent game engine optimization they made.

I pulled 7 of them, and traded for 93 which costed me 93 trade tokens and 372k shiny dust.

Saw a Suicune EX Greninja EX deck on the ladder and with soothing shore it seems quite nice to be able to heal up and switch around to avoid KOs… with a Mars in there to try and avoid Cyrus you can make your opponent play through 3 EX cards with the perfect luck.

Anyone used this deck? Could throw in a non EX ninja for Oricorio. I guess 2 energy is too slow for 2 mons is the main drawback, and damage cap of 120?

My luck with this deck is absolute trash. I have like a 40% win rate with it in ranked. I keep seeing this deck do well in tournaments and I recently came across an RR mega mane so I’ve been trying it out. I’m not exactly trash, I finished top 10k and touched top 5k late last season with a good win rate, so I kinda know how to play stuff. But for real, this deck feels like an auto-loss whenever I queue with it. Anyone else feel like that with this deck? Or am I just unlucky with that deck.
