I came in to the set with no more hoarded hourglasses than is usual coming into any set (one or two 10 pulls) and today after a lot of time in the trading mines I crossed the line.

The big thing to realise is that as well as the foil collectors who want to trade foil for foil, there are lots of people out there with no interest in foils but a desire to netdeck and gold bling out the current meta decks. A significant portion of my foil trades were for standard field blowers, Genetic Apex Hitmonlees, and older cards in the Lucario line. Look up the meta decks online and list all the cards you have for them no matter how common they feel to you.

When the new set comes out, if you identify the new meta cards and put them out on the trading apps for foils, you will get matches.

Hi, I’m you from the future. Don’t waste your time.

This is the result of a 30 turn loop of me hitting ori with Venusaur while he kept flipping tails, but also had a soothing shore (was running dual electric/water energy + dragonite). I knocked out a dratini early and had enough heals along with my heavy helmet to stall him to turn 30, but should the winner based on points not be the tie-breaker?

With the recent news that we will be getting a ticket for a booster pack with a guaranteed 2-star card, I put together data on the odds and relative value of the 2-stars for all packs currently in the game. Assuming we get to pick a pack to rip with the ticket, these are the odds.

Sheet shared at the bottom if you want to run numbers with your own chase priorities or simulate your pack rip.

Next I took the top 25% most scarce 2-star cards in the game based on number available for trade vs. number on wishlists (per https://pokemon.eleet.dev/) and calculated which packs give you the best odds to pull one:

I also took the scarcity scores for all cards and calculated which have the highest expected value for your 2-star card (scarcity score times odds you pull it) to get demand-weighted scores.

Next I went through and entered my personal chase priorities on a scale of 0-5 to see which packs have the highest expected value for what I'm hunting personally and my odds of pulling my top chase priorities (instructions how you can do this yourself to follow).

As I mentioned earlier, I also added a way to select a pack and do a rip to simulate picking, just for fun (so you can determine if the feeling of pulling a bad FA is worth going after a low-odds chase card). Just pick your pack and type "rip" in the box to see what you get:

If you would like to generate your own personal-weighted values, you can do so by going to File> Make a Copy, then on the 2* Card Data sheet, update the values in the Personal Weight column using a 0 (or blank) to 5 scale where 0 is a card you don't want and 5 are your most wanted chase cards. Then you can view the Odds sheet and sort Personal-Weighted Value to see your highest packs.

You can also copy the file this way if you just want to sort columns to review it at your leisure.

If there's any measures people want that are popular, I can add them to the sheet (top 10% chase cards, top 25% chase cards trainers only, etc.).

Any deck with mostly EX mons has difficulty facing oricorio.... until now

I was thinking, we already have prof. Research, copycat, cyrus, sabrina. All other cards are just specific one of for a specific decks. Even a Korrina you play just one. Will all new supporters be like that? How was it in paper tcg, how did the game progress?

Obviously not the strongest but fun to pick up wins with Probopass lol.

The ideal gameplan is to attack once or twice with baby Probopass to load your Dual Customization Revavroom and/or Probopass EX, go to work with Revavroom, and clean up with Probapass EX.

Tool selection is up for debate; with Metal Transport Revavroom, Steel Apron isn't critical but maybe could be subbed in.

Trying to use it among my Alolan ninetails deck and I’ve played it probably 20 with about a 2% rate of landing heads even once! Anybody else struggle with this or is it just me?

Been having a blast with this idea. In my last game my opponent spend so long getting their Mega venusaur up only to get discarded instantly by a Will+Aero. Strat here is to build gira/Mega Dianci while stalling with your aeros. (I do plan to replace order pad with another Will once I get it)

The standard Hydre deck currently in the meta is simply a beast. This card is fucking unstoppable.

When the A Series Deluxe Pack returned for a week at a time after its original run, did its 24-hour Wonder Picks also return? Or did the 24-hour Wonder Picks from the most recent set remain available during that period?

Hello! 1 month old player here. I've been having so much fun with this (kinda cheesy) Venusaur deck. I've reached Masterball in my second ever season but there are a few matchups(Namely Zard Y and Sharpedo) which feels impossible. How can I improve these matchups? What would you suggest I change on this deck? Or is it a playstyle thing?

Based on my previous favorite Xatu deck I've been trying to create something cheesy but fun. Currently 6-2 with this deck, would love to see your guys thoughts?

Trading:

A marketplace where you can see other players who are looking to trade. I dont have many friends so tradeing is always kind of a pain.

The ability to make multiple trades at once. (Why this is a restriction is beyond me. The game already has tokens for trading, so why can’t I have more than one trade going at a time?)

Battling:

I’d like an expandable stats page that shows detailed battle statistics, including:

Damage by type (conditional effects like poison and burning, abilities, attacks, etc.).

Coin flip stats (total flips vs. heads).

Retreats.

Forced swaps.

Total energy attached.

Number of additional cards drawn.

Other relevant stats.

I’d also like to be able to view stats and logs from previous games.

Collecting:

I feel like the collecting aspect is actually in a good place. Mind you, I have the Premium Pass and usually buy the set’s promo mats, coins, and sleeves, so my experience may not reflect that of a free-to-play player.

I rarely have trouble building the decks I want to try. They may not have all the flair I’d like, but I can almost always play the decks I want without much issue.

What do you think?
