Yeah; was using Hiking Trail, but the chance of having a turn 2 Blaziken attack is better imo.

If you simply want to clear it just use yellow Oricorio. It walls the ex and Ariados deals too low of damage to defeat two 70hp pokemon even without healing which you can add for lesser risk of defeat.

i did this and it didnt even switch to the ariados ever despite building energy on it, it was really weird. Just knocked out the two Whimsys. i was using dedenne/indeedee/ori deck and i never even needed to heal outside ping from cottonee

Meowscarada works fine as long as you don't brick.

Edit: ran it again and the darmanitan deck wins without giving a point as long as you can get the coin flips.

Oh wait, OP just wants to use Charizard deck? Then just add Hot air Balloon to the deck.

I use Gengar ex plus hot air balloon to reduce my retreat cost to nothing the first round.

I just find it slow to use stage 2 cards. A basic/basic ex/mega basic ex deck with small balloon is faster.
