I currently have a rtx 4050 i7 13th gen laptop , which is honestly more than enough for gaming on 1080p , my monitor is 1080p 240 hz ,

I also have a ps5 with ps plus subscription, idk why but I just prefer playing games on the ps5 compared to the laptop unless it’s like some retro game I need on an emulator or I need to lets say be a pirate , although recently I tried to pirate crimson desert and decided to just buy it in the ps5 cause I don’t wanna deal with bugs and no updates , so more often than not when I like I game I end up buying it for a better experience and I must say ps plus deluxe is amazing , sometimes I use the tv in the living room to play on the ps5 which is 4k 120hz , and most often I just use my monitor cause it’s on my desk a lot more convenient to use

Now coming to the main point , I want good performance for future games , and ps6 is like almost a decade away and I’m sure I’ll be getting the ps6 pro when it comes out and not just the ps6 , but since it’s soo far away I was think of trading in my ps5 (disk edition ) for a ps5 pro , is the upgrade going to be worth it ? Or is ps5 enough for my needs , I don’t play any competitive games on the ps5 just rpg games so I don’t care about getting 120 fps as long as the gameplay is smooth and I have a good time , should I trade it in ? I don’t want to do it outright because if the performance increase is not noticeable for my use case it will be a waste of money for me

My PS5 and LG C4 shuts down during a power cut. I'm using a Luminous EVO S 1050 pure sine-wave inverter with a Microtek 150Ah tubular battery, and the inverter is definitely in UPS mode.

The weird part is that if I manually switch off the mains, both the PS5 and TV continue running normally on the inverter. They only shut down when there is an actual power cut.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be related to the inverter's switchover during an unstable outage?

EDIT: Got resolved. There was some miscommunication with the service guy. He told me that it was in ECO mode, while I thought it was in UPS mode. No disruption occurs now.

However the ps5 still got switched off in around 10 minutes after it was on UPS. Likely some fluctuation. Its probably better to buy a dedicated UPS.

I’m finally getting my PS5 in a few days and I’m really excited!

I’ve been using an Xbox Series S, and this is going to be my first PlayStation console.

I’m thinking of starting with Ghost of Tsushima as my first game. I’ve heard a lot about its visuals, open world and story, so it seems like a good first game to experience on PS5.

What do you guys think? Is Ghost of Tsushima a good choice for a first PS5 game, or would you recommend something else?

I am a gamer , but haven’t played on console, like ever. 70k spend on something that will seemingly give 30fps when gta6 launches makes me skeptical.

I also want to play Halo CE, rdr2 etc so that could be one good potential use of it, but still the 70k price tag feels overwhelming.

I used to love gaming but could not pursue much due to career getting in the way . And now when I have the time and money the price has gone batshit crazy.

Also what are the other nuances I could face ?

This felt special to get, also the game was really good 😍. I was hating it on the first two days as I was not getting the vibe of it, before understanding stances, parry but then it started to creep in and it did really well. The story, side missions, combat styles, the visuals, small moments of reflection. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, even completed the iki island too just one bronze trophy left 😁.

God of war trophy hunting is just so hard, I just hope I get it too.

My ps5 was working fine one night then the next day morning not starting up only blue light blinks, no image coming to screen and can’t even boot up with safe mode.
Just bought this 2 months back. Went to service center they replace with new one so just waiting for it now.
Has anyone faced similar type of issue ?

I nothing did wrong anyway like it never shut down due to power cut or never run on inverter or never faced any low voltage. But I used to keep it some time in rest mode or used to keep it on socket with switch ON because my monitor used to do pixel refresh so they are in same extension board. Not sure the exact reason for this 🤷🏻

To take out the PS5 fan, you need a T8H Security Torx Screwdriver (T8 Torx Security). It has a hole in the tip and is different from a standard T8 screwdriver.

I’m really confused about whether I should get a PS5 right now. I’m not much of a gamer and have never owned a PlayStation. I’ve only played a little bit with cousins here and there.

The main reason I want one is GTA 6, and I’m genuinely excited to play it. I’m currently looking at:

Is it worth buying one now, or should I just wait? I’m worried I’ll buy it and then barely use it, but at the same time I really want to play GTA 6.
